"I've done some reading on these micro dart delivery patches, and it's actually kind of challenging on the formulator side to get them onto the little darts in a way that reliably diffuses into the skin, so that makes me question how consistent the dosing is across all the little dots. The deeper penetration also comes with an increased risk of irritation since you're putting them on the skin under occlusion, so you may get a lot more bang for your buck but you also may get a lot more irritation. RoC is a good brand overall and their retinol is pretty good, but it's kind of an interesting concept just using retinol in this fashion in these targeted areas. What's the point, why are we not treating the entire face? I suppose it makes sense if you find prescription retinoids too irritating around the eyes or mouth but still want to use retinol."
