What the gurus are saying

This hand cream hydrates deeply without greasy residue, so you can wear it while typing or on your phone without leaving smears on screens or keys. Gurus praise the matte, peptide-rich texture and the retinol-free daytime formula, which pairs with a retinoid night version for flexible routines. The redesigned packaging is easier to use but still tricky to open, particularly for people with artificial nails. A small amount lasts months.

"This is the Remedy Hand Cream. I absolutely love this product. If you're applying Hand Cream a couple of times a day, morning and evening, make sure you're putting a couple of drops of copper peptides in alongside it."

Greatest SKINCARE BRAND 2026 - 3 Brands That Changed It All
"This is a Hand Cream that isn't greasy so it doesn't leave a smear all over your phone, your keyboard, or wherever you're typing. It doesn't leave that snail trail of grease because it is genuinely matte but also super hydrating. The formula and ingredients [...] are next level in terms of hydration, calming, soothing, and treating the hands. The price point is stunningly affordable, especially because you need so little of this product to get results, so one will last you the best part of three months. [...] The packaging [...] is amazing, soft to the touch, easy to dispense with a perfect applicator so you can pop out just the tiny amount you need. [...] This is the nicest packaging I have ever seen on a Hand Cream. [...] They also do a retinoid version for night use. This is something different in terms of hand creams, and Remedy has innovation [...] in bucket loads."
ULTIMATE SKINCARE FAVORITES 2026 - Best New Skincare I Tried This Year
"This is the new Remedy Hand Cream, sent to me in PR. Remedy already did a retinoid based Hand Cream for evening anti-aging which I loved, [...] but they lacked a Hand Cream for daytime use, so they created this. Honestly the packaging is why I love this, [...] it feels like a stress ball, it's so tactile. The original Hand Cream [...] was difficult to get product out of, not accessible if you had motor difficulty, but they've gone back to the drawing board and fixed it, this is the easiest product to dispense, it's got a nice spout that [...] dispenses a tiny amount because you only need a little bit. [...] It's beautiful, not greasy, so [...] it doesn't leave a snail trail of grease when you're typing. My top tip is if my skin is really dry on my face, I'll use this as my moisturizer. I got this [...] one in PR, I think it's going to last me forever because you only need a tiny amount, but I will be repurchasing with my own money when that time comes because it is genuinely that good."
Big COPPER PEPTIDE UPDATE - How To Use Copper Peptides In 2026

"The overall formula of the product itself is the best part. This is a lighter weight formula, but it still leaves very rich hydration even though it's not as thick of a cream, and it has the complementary vehicle of hydration, occlusive, and peptides. We heard the feedback that the old packaging was hard to open, so we added a lip you can grip with your nail or a ring, and a wider opening so it's easier to squeeze everything out. It's still not super easy to open, but it's easier. The new Hand Cream has peptides as the main ingredient and is retinol free, which works well for people who only want to use retinol at night or who are pregnant and don't want retinol on their hands. The original Hand Cream has retinol in it, which is better if you want deep repair for sun damage, crepey skin, and fine lines, and it also helps with cuticle and nail quality. The new one is lighter, with less shea butter and more of a whipped texture, and it has a hydrophobic lipid complex that repels water, so it absorbs quickly, isn't greasy, and your hands still feel hydrated after multiple washes. Even with all the packaging errors, people have absolutely loved the formula."

"This is a new release from Remedy, a Hand Cream I've had a lot of time to test. I love the way this feels, it's absolutely a step up from the way Rare Beauty packaged their Hand Cream where you couldn't get the product out. This one is fun to use and the perfect size to keep by your bed. But I don't particularly like the opening, it's not easy to open, my partner struggled with it too, especially if you have press on or artificial nails. So it's pros and cons with this, but the formula is super nice and feels rich, great for the winter months. It has some retinol in it and I'm not seeing extra dryness from it, which would be my main concern."

What the evidence says.

Independent of what the gurus think, this is what the published research supports about the main active ingredients here.

Retinoids

Retinoids are among the best studied ingredients in dermatology, with solid evidence for acne and for the fine lines and rough texture that come from sun exposure. Dryness and flaking in the first few weeks are common and usually settle.

Alpha hydroxy acids

Alpha hydroxy acids loosen the bonds holding dead cells at the surface. The evidence supports smoother texture and more even tone over time, and they can leave skin more sensitive to sun.

Ceramides

Ceramides are part of the skin's own barrier, and moisturisers built around them have evidence for holding water in and settling the tightness and flaking that come with a damaged barrier.
