"My favorite so far has been Olay Regenerist Retinol 24. Olay Regenerist has done a great job. It's that iconic purple jar that they actually reformulated and not just changed the jar appearance. It's actually a new formulation with a new triple collagen peptide blend in it that will help boost cellular energy, help with collagen production, and help with cell-to-cell adhesion, and thus make your skin firmer over time. It is quite gentle, has no fragrance, no dyes. It is stable even though it's in a jar. They've actually done studies on stabilization of their retinoid, which is a retinol paired with a retinol propionate, and it actually does penetrate the skin very well over time even though you've opened the jar multiple times for the course of a year or two, the retinol is still good."

"I have to say this is a big thumbs up here. I got to give this a 9.5 out of 10. Great job, Olay, on updating your formulation, and the jar does look quite luxurious. We still got tolerability, hydration, cost, and you got a boost in anti-aging."

They also put in DMDM hydroin which is a formaldehyde releasing preservative which I really don't like for anyone. Actually I have no idea why they chose this one. For some people that's not a deal breaker but for me who's been using retinol for quite some time I kind of need to know what strength it is. I reached out to them and they wouldn't say, they said it's their proprietary blend, which is honestly utter garbage. When a brand tells you that they're just being secretive. I used it and I was pretty underwhelmed, so I'm guessing this is a fairly low concentration of retinol. If you're new to retinol as an ingredient this could work, but I think the idea that this is going to be next level game-changing hero retinol for all of us out there, I just think is a bit too much hype and not enough substance. This didn't do it for me. If you are completely new to retinol this could be an okay place to start, but I just think there's better options out there. This is also really expensive, it's like £48 here in the UK. You don't need to pay that for an effective retinol. This is way too expensive for the lack of transparency."
