What the gurus are saying

The 0.1% retinol here sits in the middle ground: gentle enough to pair with PDRN and peptides that buffer irritation, but not strong enough to satisfy those already seasoned with retinol. Those new to retinol find this a comfortable entry point that delivers firming benefits without harsh sensitivity. Anyone already using higher-strength retinol may find it feels like a step backward. Best used only at night, since retinol increases sun sensitivity.

"The firming has retinoids in. I would only say my caution with this is it's mid-strength retinol. So if you're new to retinol, this is a great option. If like me, you're already established as a user of retinol, I think this would be a step back. This is the 0.1% retinol, so that's the equivalent of like the Geek and Gorgeous AAME 10 if you're doing a rough side-by-side comparison. Mid-strength, I would say. I'm glad I tried it. I think it's wonderful, but I think it's going to be situational as to how it works with you."

"Given that it has retinol at 0.1%, it's the perfect amount to be able to deliver the ingredient to your skin and get all the benefits without overly irritating and sensitizing your skin. And because this has the PDRN to help with skin sensitivity and irritation, as well as so many peptides, when it says that this is a firming serum, they are not kidding. There are so many different peptide complexes in this formula. It's such a great formula for being able to get the benefits of retinol without having to worry about excessive skin irritation and sensitivity. This product is emblematic of the gentle active approach that is present in Korean skin care. I definitely think this is an ideal option if you are someone who's just dipping your toe into the world of powerful ingredients like retinols and exfoliants. This is a great one to start with if you want to make sure that your skin doesn't have to worry about additional sensitivity and irritation. Use it only overnight because it can make your skin more sensitive to the sun. This is a great overnight serum."
