I only use this on my body because I use Trone on my face; there's no need to use multiple forms of topical vitamin A on your face unless you have a vitamin A like a retinol eye cream that you're using gentler around the eyes because it's a sensitive area. This product is so good, even if it didn't have retinol in it, I think it would still be excellent because the overall formula is so hydrating and moisturizing. It's not greasy. I genuinely see a visible difference in the skin of my upper arms and thighs when I use this. I love how easily it spreads on the skin surface. It has urea in it, but in contrast to other urea creams, I find this has just a little bit more of a luxurious texture. It also has a peptide in it, which may help, along with urea, help with improving moisture content and smoothing out and helping with dry, rough skin. It has ceramides, which are really good for helping your skin's lipid barrier. Ceramides are naturally found there, and applying them topically can help boost production when things become a little impaired. It's got shea butter, dimethicone. If you want to use this on the face, it's fine to do so, it's marketed that way and it's very comfortable. The price point on this is pretty attractive. This comes in tube packaging, but Walmart also sells a large pump, which I also like and have gone through."

"I have really been enjoying this Gold Bond Age Renew Retinol body lotion. It doesn't have retinol in it; it has polyhydroxy acids which hydrate and gently exfoliate to smooth rough skin texture and help with improving moisture retention. The consistency is super lux, really nice. It's got coconut oil and shea butter and then gluconolactone is the polyhydroxy acid. I really love the texture and it doesn't sting if I have a little patch of eczema that's flared up, which I've been having some flares on my lower legs. Polyhydroxy acids are great for keratosis pilaris, lactic acid, glycolic acid really gets in there and softens it, breaks up the glue between that dry little plug in your hair follicle, helps it lift up."

This one really has the most drastic impact in my personal experience using it, the most drastic impact in changing the trajectory of rough and bumpy skin. So if you have keratosis pilaris, consider this one. It's really good. This product in contrast to the others that we've talked about should not be used in pregnancy because of retinol. Retinol is just an ingredient that we tell pregnant women to not use due to theoretical concerns around it. You can use this on your face, though I don't because I use a prescription retinoid on my face. It is a really good body lotion and I like it a lot. The price point is really great. It's a really thick cream, really hydrating, really emollient. Comparing the ingredient lists, the retinol is probably in them in about the same amount based on where it is on the ingredient list, much less than one percent because that's just how it is with retinols. But I gotta say I like the ingredient list on the Gold Bond a little bit better because the Gold Bond has niacinamide, shea butter, and squalane. The Gold Bond also has urea and a peptide in it, so this one is just more packed full of skin loving goodness. This one I'd say is just a little bit heavier, a little bit more emollient."
