"Gold Bond Age Renew Retinol face and body, you can use it on the face but I don't because I already use tretinoin on my face so I don't want to have redundancy with topical vitamin A because that can be irritating. But I do use it on my body and I've repurchased it multiple times this year. This formula also has urea, one of my favorite ingredients in moisturizers, and it's very hydrating. It's part of your skin's natural moisturizing factors and how your skin holds on to water, which is super important for how the barrier performs and maintains itself. When the water content drops in the outermost layers of the skin things slow down and that's why you get dry rough skin. With urea in there it helps to replenish moisture and it also softens and gently exfoliates rough dull skin texture. "This is a very good product and a very good value for the ingredients you're getting, though I have to be honest, I can't tell you if the retinol in this is any better, worse, or the same as any other retinol, because retinol is a cosmetic ingredient and there are never head to head studies comparing brands. It has retinol in it that will promote smoother, firmer skin while helping minimize the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles. And it's also really good at hydrating. I do like applying this to damp skin. As soon as you get out of the shower, you are supposed to moisturize within 3 minutes of getting out of the shower. I try to do it immediately. If you're already been doing this, just swap your regular moisturizer for something with retinol in it. But if not, maybe this is a good time to incorporate this. The lotion has the retinol, the shea butter, hyaluronic acid, as well as vitamins A, C, and E."

It's got a very thick texture to it, which is nice, and it really works well over your body or wherever you want some anti-aging benefits, face, back of your hands. So using this on your skin after showering will certainly help. But if you're going to use it you have to use sunscreen, especially if you're going out. Gold Bond products typically I wouldn't use on my face, but the retinol Gold Bond products I will certainly use body and face because it's not full of a ton of pore-clogging ingredients. It's 12 bucks and we've got retinol, shea butter, squalane, vitamin E, macadamia oil, jojoba esters, lots of good stuff. I'm guessing the retinol is probably around 0.5% or maybe even a little bit less because it's meant to be used all over. If it were super strong retinol, people would be getting irritation and sensitivity issues between the corners and elbows, so it's probably very weak but it's still got the retinol in there. "I love this, I think I've also talked about this before but it's just fantastic. It's so good if you have been wanting to use retinol on the rest of your body, this is a really great cream. It's retinol and peptides, it's got seven moisturizers, three vitamins. I picked this up because of a Dr. Dre recommendation. I was originally just using a regular moisturizer and mixing in retinol and that just got really messy, like having to mix them together. The retinol is already in here which is great, I don't have to worry about it. It's also super gentle, very very gentle. I can use it on my neck which is a very sensitive area of the skin.
