It's like Karma Hourglass Concealer. This is what I use. And there are so many shades to choose from. It should just be like maybe a shade lighter than your natural skin tone because you don't want it to look like weird raccoon eyes.
Going in with this from Nars. It's one of their concealers. I put this as a base on my under eye area. Even though it's looking a little bit yellow, it just blends out so pretty.
I'm going to go in with this from Prequel, it is the hypochlorous acid. This is not part of the instructions but whenever I do any kind of treatment I really do like to use hypochlorous acid. It just kills any bacteria and it feels good, helps with that redness.
The thing I like about this supplement is if you're going to be taking a pill anyway you might as well take some pills that have other ingredients that you need for your skin and for your body in general that can just lead to better skin health. This has polypodium in it, it also has antioxidants in it, and it has prebiotics in it, so you get a lot of benefits from taking the supplement.

I had up until that point wanted to get braces again, Invisalign. And so, right before my wedding, I decided to do it like a year before I got Invisalign. And this was like early days of Invisalign when they weren't really doing the nubs on the teeth and stuff. So, it was almost it was a little harder to shift your teeth. So, I ended up doing that. And it felt like it went on forever and ever and ever. It was supposed to be like 6 months and then it just like kept going and going and going and then I just like stopped. I just like whatever trays I was on, those became my retainers and that was it. Like I was so over it cuz like 6 months like transformed into past my wedding and was like a year and a half in and I was like wait I'm still paying for this. I come in like every six weeks. This is too much. So then at some point I think I just stopped wearing those trays like probably a year later or something. And then sure enough my teeth started shifting.
I'm not a big fan. And there's two reasons why. It has an insulated needle and it holds that heat. And it doesn't have a pulse wave. So it has a continuous wave. So that just means the energy is going this way and it's not going like this. I think those two factors, it's like a 50/50 with Morpheus, right? Some people love it, but it's literally like 50/50 and 50 don't like it. I think those two things make the 50 not like it.
This is so thick, not everybody needs a thicker [moisturizer], and it really makes me mad when people say like everyone needs Embryolisse, no they don't. Not everyone is going to survive Embryolisse. A really oily-skinned client is not going to benefit from having Embryolisse under their makeup, period. You will not find Embryolisse in my pro kit. No, I've never seen it. Embryolisse Lait-Crème Concentré and La Mer is is King for skin prep? No, it's not. Sorry, yeah, I'm here to tell you no, it's not.

"There's a clinical trial going on in China for some muscle injury. There's also another small study that was done here in the US by a physician where he injected BPC into patients' knees who were complaining of knee pain and they reported improvement of pain. I personally have used BPC on myself. I use it very intentionally, very carefully. The combination of BPC-157 with TB-4, or sometimes the synthetic TB-500, which is another healing peptide that helps with how wounds close, and then GHK-Cu, the copper peptide, which is very well studied in skin. This is a tool, but it's not going to replace eating really well, sleeping, recovering, or resting. You have to do the hyperbaric, the red light, all the things."
"I love Prequel. I love Dr. Sam Ellis. I think that they just do, I know it's like she's the best. I think what she's building is great. Very straightforward. There's a lot of like problem solution solving with that brand. It's very affordable. You can get it at Target. It's great."
"I use Dove and I love it. It's so good for the skin. Like I've always used it and I loved it and I just feel like my tan really likes the hydration that it gives from that."
"Medications like Accutane, all those things come with a price. Most people would prefer not to do that if they don't have to. I believe that medication should be the last step. If we can try to do some other things first, then at some point when I'm like, listen, enough's enough, we need to get you on a prescription, I'll recommend that and send them to a derm. But I think most people would prefer not to do that if they don't have to."
"This is also brand new. I haven't really used it yet, but it's one of their highlighters. There's a few shades, but see how like coppery rose gold it is. It's not necessarily shimmer, but it's still got a metallic in there. The metallic in that is heaven."
"We have three clinical studies on Instant Angel. Three. Yeah. And like that's more than a lot of brands. Like if you look at the total amount of people that we've tested."

"For me, I don't have veneers. I started with Invisalign. I whitened my teeth and then if you still have like little chips in the teeth, you can bond. It's really about mapping it out using the most conservative things first and then going to more extreme if needed."

It was supposed to be like 6 months and then it just like kept going and going and going and then I just like stopped. Not as bad that time but they started shifting again. And every once in a while I try to throw those trays back on. "Creatine monohydrate has helped me maintain my muscle mass, but it also has helped me in my opinion have more cognitive function. I feel like I'm just sharper, and I'm a very sleep deprived person. Taking my creatine has made me feel like I am so much sharper without having to over consume caffeine. The brand I've been using is Momentous. I take five grams a day. I usually put it into a protein shake and it's really easy to do that. I've also been carrying a creatine packet with me while traveling, putting it in my water bottle and shaking it up really easily."
"Here's my beef with beef tallow. People say, 'Oh, it's very similar to sebum and it's fatty acid concentration. So therefore, it shouldn't break people out.' I have news for you. Look at people with acne. What oil is breaking them out? Sebum. So, if you're putting something that's like sebum on the skin in somebody who has acne, like it will break them out, too."
"I love a good pore strip. I think that people have demonized them for so long just because they don't have a good understanding of what they are. The ones that I particularly like are from Bioré. They've had a patent on the technology. When you wet it, it polarizes and it actually attracts the pore contents as opposed to some other methods like those old peel off masks that are just like acting like an adhesive and can be a little bit more damaging to the skin. I don't think that they're like really the be all end all of having like nice refined pores, but I do think that they can be helpful, especially if somebody's like at the beginning of their skin care journey and they want a quick fix that's going to improve the appearance of their pores quickly. I still use them."
"I like to incorporate minoxidil, finasteride, and or spironolactone depending on the person. If you are a childbearing woman these are not options for you right now because it's not safe for you. In the right person it's a topical minoxidil or finasteride or an oral version of those medications."

"There's also Morpheus8, which is radiofrequency microneedling. I'm not a massive fan of it. I think it has to be done with the right practitioner. I think a lot of people are doing it where they're using high energy at the wrong depth and you're getting fat loss from it. I've heard bad stories about Morpheus8 but also some good stories, so I think it's very much practitioner dependent. In the right hands it can be good but in the wrong hands it can be bad."
Morpheus8: Dermatologists Explain Radiofrequency Microneedling Treatments (with Before & Afters!)
"Radio frequency with microneedling treatments have been around for a while, this is not something new at all, but it has gotten way more popular and I think it's because of a treatment called Morpheus8. There was a second there where I feel like everyone I talked to in Los Angeles was like, oh I just got a Morpheus8 treatment. I was hearing it so much from people that I started wondering if I needed to get it done. But when I started talking to dermatologists that I love and I trust, especially the ones that know I deal with melasma, everybody told me not to do it."
Morpheus8: Dermatologists Explain Radiofrequency Microneedling Treatments (with Before & Afters!)
"Combining radio frequency with microneedling is much more effective at stimulating collagen production than microneedling alone. Microneedling induces tiny microtraumas in our skin which cause our body to go into a natural healing response which brings in skin firming proteins. Microneedling alone does help with fine lines, wrinkles, scars and stretch marks, but adding radio frequency gives it the ability to go deeper into the skin which helps to better firm and tone the skin. The Morpheus device for the face goes down to 4 mm, which is where something called the SMAS network is, and that is basically contouring some of that fat and fibrous tissue in order to really tighten the skin. This is where you can target deep acne scarring and remodel some of that adipose fat tissue. Then at 3 mm, 2 mm, 1 mm and half a millimeter, this is where you can address fine lines and dullness."
Morpheus8: Dermatologists Explain Radiofrequency Microneedling Treatments (with Before & Afters!)
"Microneedling with radio frequency you can expect to firm, plump, tone the skin in addition to improve fine lines, wrinkles, acne scarring, other types of scarring, stretch marks, and improve the overall texture of the skin. The InMode one with the Morpheus is pretty robust because of the bipolar technology, which means that it keeps the heat kind of circular inside the device, and that's a little bit more scientific versus a monopolar. The bipolar is nice because you can go higher heat, higher energy, so more output without that tissue damage. The Morpheus device goes 4 mm in depth with the face handpiece, and that's really nice because that's where the fibroseptal network is where we can remodel that adipose fat tissue. So for people that want to come in get a snatched jawline, that's not going to work if I have a device that only goes 2 mm. For the body handpiece they have that goes 7 mm. They have a burst mode where it's like 7, 6, 5, 4, 3, 2, 1 to create that column of heat. RF with microneedling can offer benefits for most people. It's generally considered safe for all skin types."

"It's a machine that does all this fun stuff, tightens your skin, makes you look amazing. You have to get it three times. It is hands down the most painful thing I've ever done. I literally bawled my eyes out, hated the whole experience. My other friends that have gotten it, they look stunning, amazing, their skin looks so tight. They also got laughing gas when they got it, so they said the pain wasn't that bad. I was only numbed, literally I was bawling my eyes out. I had to actually stop, I couldn't finish. The worst part is that for some reason my skin reacted in a strange way. You can see all of this texture on my forehead. You can see where the machine went in all over my neck. It's been three months and I don't think it's going away anytime soon. I would just say test your skin, do like a mini test, because this has been part of the reason I don't post on TikTok anymore because I look like I have goosebumps on my face. Pain is a very subjective thing, however there are certain places that I feel like don't numb enough or don't numb appropriately. If they're not using a numbing agent that is strong enough, or they're only using it for ten, twenty minutes, that is not enough in order to numb for this type of procedure."

It's been about three or four months since I did it, so I'll probably try it again just to see if I see more tightening, but as of now I don't think I saw a huge difference."

That's really interesting because I feel like of all the devices, that one, it really matters what you put into the skin afterwards. We even created a serum with a compounding pharmacy that you use for 6 hours post treatment. So every hour on the hour, you flood the skin. And we've seen amazing results. "Sofwave makes little injuries and recreates your collagen, so it's kind of like your collagen buildup for the year. We recommend doing it once or twice a year. It really pulls up that skin because it tightens that skin. It really helps with eyebrow lifts because it builds up the collagen in the bony areas where we tend to lose collagen, and then also with fine lines. That's why I absolutely love Sofwave. I had it done once and I need to do another one but I'm excited to experience it. You do feel a little bit of the heat, but it gets a little hot. We numb because this one's less painful than other ultrasound devices. Sofwave has really changed their technology and they're keeping up with the times and constantly studying collagen, so it produces collagen one and three."

"Sofwave is less painful than other ultrasound devices. It's like the Rolls-Royce of alternatives because it has really changed their technology and they're constantly studying collagen so it produces collagen one and three. The handle is really targeted exactly where you need it, and it's incredible for the neck to really lift up. Patients come every year for it. "Sofwave has really changed their technology and they're constantly studying collagen so it produces collagen one and three. This is the handle we use, we use a pedal and it's really targeted exactly where you need it, on the neck to really lift it up. Patients come every year for it. You don't necessarily need that collagen buildup more than once or twice a year. That's why I love it, it really gives you a big bang for your buck. As for pain, it depends on the person. It's like if you put your hand on a stove for a second you realize you're like oh that's hot, that's it, that's what you'll feel and then we move on and it cools."
Is Sofwave a Non-Surgical Facelift? All About This Skin Tightening Treatment
"So Sofwave actually bypasses the epidermis, so with any type of skin type or if you have any type of hypopigmentation or hyperpigmentation, you can definitely get Sofwave because it goes down to the dermis, so it's amazing. It's collagen build up for everybody. Post care is just obviously wear sunblock, you should be wearing sunblock all the time, especially here in Miami, but really just a cleanser, staying hydrated, and sunblock. Since it goes down to the dermis, the epidermis you don't really need to do a lot to essentially take care of that area. I would stay away from hot yoga or anything like that because heat can kind of slow things down."
"I walked out of Ultherapy I think about 10 years ago but now I could get it without numbing so really, so huge, there's a huge change in like pain level. Ultherapy is best if you have a lot of fat. If you have a lot of facial fat and like jowling, people with facial fat benefit more from Ultherapy as well. "Ultherapy is the most popular treatment that people come in for skin tightening. It uses an ultrasound machine that goes all the way down through the epidermis, dermis, subcutaneous tissue, muscle, and all the way up to the bone, tightening every single one of them so that you can avoid getting a facelift. You can use this skin tightening anywhere on the body. It's preventative medicine. If you want to keep your skin youthful and feel confident, this is what you should do. With proper pain management using Pronox, the laughing gas, the experience is completely different. I slept through an hour and a half of my treatment and did not feel a thing."
"Thermage is designed to do every 8 months to a year, whereas things like oligio you can go every 3 months if you do like shrink or any hu lasers you can pretty much go like every 1 to two months."
"When it comes to Exoomes, I mainly use it on patients with enlarged pores, lots of inflammation, so redness if they're breaking out. It's good for acne patients as well, to reduce inflammation. I can use it on every patient. It's good for anti-aging but mainly because it's strengthening the skin barrier, which is the most important thing in our skin. So it hydrates it, it controls sebum production, and it's good for pores and hydration. I use it sometimes with microneedling where I could apply it, and I think injections are probably the most effective."
"I got my mom on Ozempic and it was a game changer for her but then she did get off because she does love to eat, right, she's a live to eat person, and then immediately gained the weight back. Her knees were killing her again, all of it just started happening again. She was pre-diabetic and so she decided to go back to a new clinic and they gave her a newer medication and she feels like she's not losing the weight as fast as she did when she originally started taking it. The problem with these medications is that if you go on a medication, take a drug holiday for whatever reason, and then you restart it, they become less effective. People don't realize that. They start a medication, they stop it, they start it, they stop it, they think that they can restart at any point and have the same reaction and just as easily lose the weight. It doesn't happen. People have to be ready to make the changes and to take it seriously when they initiate these medications because it can potentially reduce the success later on."

"Micro dosing Ozempic, it's dosing it to a small amount that's enough to control your hunger but not enough to create the hunger loss where you're losing hair, your lack of laxity in your skin, you're losing all this fat. I think weight loss needs to be healthy and it needs to be enough where you're seeing the results for you to start becoming healthy too. It does control that gluttonous person in our head from wanting to eat all the cookies and all the cupcakes. There's also this whole thing about how it stops inflammation in your body, which is kind of the issue that most of us have. Having a little bit of Ozempic or the semaglutide, it controls you from not wanting to eat those foods that are so inflammatory. When you overdose on something it causes diarrhea, it causes nausea, it causes headaches, dehydration. But when you micro dose it, it's not enough to take your hunger."
"Xeomin is one of the FDA approved brands in the US. Like Botox and Dysport and Daifey, it's a neuromodulator that blocks the release of acetylcholine so the muscle doesn't get the signal to contract. It will soften that contraction. The safety of these formulations really comes down to dose and the formulation itself, and it's important to go to a reputable injector so you know exactly where you're being injected."
"I tried it and I liked it because I was getting a lot of migraines. It stayed about four months or so. The pros were my migraines really did kind of stop, I was being a little less tense in that area, and ever since then my migraines haven't been as bad even after it wore off. It's been over a year now so that's been amazing. But when I had it, there's always that side effect of what other muscles kick in. When I would look at myself in pictures after it kicked in, I would be straining my neck when I was smiling because we hadn't done my platysmal bands, so those were just popping while the neck area was completely flat. If you inject one area and don't inject the other, you really start compensating with other muscle groups that are nearby and you can see it even more."

"For people who live to eat, this medication is not a great medication because I've had some people tell me you've literally taken away all my joy. It's really for people who are thinking about food, they eat a meal but they're still looking for something else. If I can take away some of that edge and get people to eat the protein, have the fiber, eat smaller portions, feel satisfied, and limit them grabbing chocolate or ice cream after a meal, that's the goal."
"The newest medication on the market is tirzepatide, so that's Mounjaro or Zepbound. There's a GLP1 agonist component and a GIP, so it has two hormones. The half-life is about a week, so instead of you releasing this hormone and it being broken down in one to two minutes, the hormone is floating around for a lot longer. It sends signals to our brain where we have receptors and it says, 'Brain, I'm full,' even while you just started eating because it's already around in the body. It also slows down the rate at which the stomach empties, so if it takes a normal stomach four hours to empty, then the food in your stomach may stay in there for five or six hours. It usually delays that by about one hour."
"I'm going to go in with the Prequel Universal Skin Solution Dermal Spray. This is hypochlorous acid. This is, I guess, kind of to rewet it. This isn't really a toner but you guys have heard me talk about how much I love this stuff. It's great for any redness. For me, I was dealing with my perioral dermatitis under here, which you can see is getting better. I like to let that dry down just because it can deactivate some of your other skincare products."

My Updated Skincare Routine for Melasma & Dark Spots
"This is from Prequel, this is the Universal Skin Solution Dermal Spray. This is just a hypochlorous acid spray, and there's a reason for it, it is great for anybody who has skin irritation. For me with peroral dermatitis, and because of my melasma, I have noticed that anytime I get really red, like if I'm irritated, I have redness, or if I spent too much time at the gym, or if I was out in the sun, if I got really hot, I will keep a bottle of this. I also like spraying it on my back so I don't get breakouts. If you're going to use any antioxidants like retinoids or AHA, then you want to let it dry down before you go in with some of your other products. It's essentially like spraying bleach on your skin, so just keep that in mind. But I think this is just such a great type of product to have in your routine and in your bag, and it's like a catchall for so many different skin issues. If you're dealing with any redness like I do, that redness can lead to more melasma."

"This is so thick, not everybody needs a thicker [moisturizer], and it really makes me mad when people say like everyone needs Embryolisse, no they don't. Sorry, yeah, I'm here to tell you no, it's not."
"Profilo is the main one that I use. It's kind of the injectable moisturizer, it's very potent hyaluronic acid that you inject into different parts of the face with the main aim of boosting skin quality and hydration. It basically works by boosting collagen and elastin, which are the main matrix of our skin. It's really used well in conjunction with a good skincare routine, not as a standalone. It's like an adjunct. My skin looked very hydrated and it gives that nice glow. It's not going to change your life but it does give you that sort of healthy glow to the face."
"Luma, which is IPL so intense pulse laser therapy or light therapy, is one of those base treatments where you're treating the skin and trying to tighten the skin laxity and skin quality. I think that's becoming really popular."
"I still have this stuff now that we have further dissolved it. I think I'll probably try to use bio stimulators just to soften everything in that area and get a refreshed look again. I definitely don't want to do hyaluronic acid fillers in this area anymore. Obviously lips are fine and wherever it's necessary, but I think for me I'm going to stick with just the bio stimulators when it comes to the cheek, and I just don't really think I need anything in the tear trough area."
"Radiesse is a filler but it's also a bio stimulator and there's not anything on the market right now other than Radiesse that does this. It creates five different things for your skin: collagen one, collagen three, elastin, proteoglycans which is that glow that you get from any of the treatments, and then the angiogenesis which is that blood perfusion. So you're getting the healthiest tissue that you could possibly get with 16 things more than what one filler would do for you. With the protocol that I have, one treatment includes 20 syringes with full correction, and you'll grow anywhere between one to three inches with each treatment. It's a very malleable product and it works great with everyone's tissue."
"With Morpheus8, if you're not having the right person to do it, they go way too deep, dissolve fat, and then it's creating laxity. So then you're going to have to call me to refill your face and then you're going to be upset because it's too full. Morpheus8 is not ultrasound guided, and I know that people are going way too deep because you think you're going to get better results and these estheticians are doing it the wrong way. It's going to create more damage than production of collagen."
"When it comes to my tox treatments, I say tox because I don't get BOTOX anymore, I get Zaman. She evens out my eyebrows, she makes me look smooth. I switched from Botox to Zaman not because I don't think Botox is great, I think Botox is also great, it just started not lasting on me, so I was like I need to try something else."
"I think it's very important to know when you're overstepping your boundaries and using it too much or when you're using a medication or a product the right way. I have a lot of friends who are dosing it to a small amount that's enough to control your hunger but not enough to create the hunger loss where you're losing hair, lack of elasticity in your skin, you're losing all this fat. I think weight loss needs to be healthy and it needs to be enough where you're seeing the results for you to start becoming healthy too. I think it's very important that people are doing this because it does control that gluttonous person in our head from wanting to eat all the cookies and all the cupcakes."
"The thing I like about this supplement is if you're going to be taking a pill anyway you might as well take some pills that have other ingredients that you need for your skin and for your body in general that can just lead to better skin health. "Inner Glow age defense vitamins is a great brand. It's a supplement that you take orally that gives you more antioxidants that help defend your skin and protect your skin from the sun and free radical damage. Neither of them take the place of sunscreen, but when you're a person like me who deals with melasma and you're really sensitive to the sun, this just gives you that added boost of protection for your skin and I love it. I take these supplements every single day, especially if I'm going to be out in the sun. You take it like an hour before you go outside and it helps protect your skin so much more. I like Inner Glow even more because it offers even more benefits for your skin and your hair, which is why it's a little bit more pricey. Both of them have an ingredient called polypodium leucotomos, which is an antioxidant ingredient that comes from a fern and it's been proven to help protect your skin from the sun, and I think that's amazing."
"I have to tell you I'm so into this product, it is so so nice. I would say it's more of a natural finish, I would even go as far as saying that it gives you a little bit of a luminous finish, not glowy. It just gives you a really beautiful natural finish and it's really light. I take a powder brush and I just blend it out really quickly and it is so easy and it gives really amazing coverage but doesn't feel heavy. It doesn't feel like a concealer. A lot of the time with stick foundations it feels like it's too heavy and then it gets cracky over time and everything, it just doesn't usually wear well for me. This one is perfect. It covers well, it looks natural, it feels light and you can just put it on so easily and quickly. If you have mature skin, the other thing I like about it is that because it's such a light texture on your skin it doesn't sink into all your fine lines and wrinkles and all of your texture and everything, it just feels really light."
"This is the at-home version; the MD version is the professional version so that has hydroquinone in it, probably a high amount of it, and also a high amount of retinol in it. This does not, so it's like other ingredients that are not as intense but it still felt pretty tingly, just not bad. You can see my skin isn't really that red. The kit comes with this melon recovery, it actually feels really nice on the skin, but it has a really strong fragrance which I think is odd for post-recovery for your skin. My skin actually feels really good."
"I'm now on my second round of Renua and I am really enjoying the look so far. I feel like it looks very natural. I don't look like I've got this overfilled face and it feels natural. Subtle changes, but I think subtle and going slow with adding volume back to your face is definitely one of the ways to go."
"It's definitely an amazing foundation. It really is incredibly longwearing, it's full coverage, it looks flawless. I recommend it to people. When somebody tells me they don't like the skin tints, they don't like all these new things and they just want a foundation, I'm like you need Double Wear. It takes all the boxes of what a person looking for a good foundation would need. If they're looking for full coverage that's going to last all day, give you full coverage, not going to look cakey, going to look like a skin finish, and it has lots of shade range. It's not going to be overly luminizing, not going to be overly matte, it's a satin finish. It's a good classic foundation."
"I think it's like a really nice skin tint. Back when that launched I remember it feeling like it was revolutionary because tinted moisturizers didn't feel that great, they were just kind of blah. You wanted a tinted moisturizer but you couldn't really find one that gave good coverage that set well that did a good job. This one was great and it was SPF 30, so back then that felt better. When that was launched, the competition was Laura Mercier tinted moisturizer, like that was essentially the only tinted moisturizer that was really talked about. This actually felt like a true tinted moisturizer, not like other cosmetics where you got a lot of coverage but it didn't really feel like a tinted moisturizer. I think I would still enjoy using this, not as my sunscreen but I think I would still enjoy using this."
"I thought I was going to love it then I tried it and I felt like it was a little too glisteny and then I retried it and I was like this is like my jam now. I like this one, it is more pigmented than I like to use on a regular basis though. They all offer like a ton of coverage so I think people were always really surprised because going into it you see CC cream and you think it's going to be like a skin tint, no they're like full-on pigment, they're like medium coverage, they're in the foundation category. Personally I like the original one more than I like the glow. It just stays really really wet and I just can't stand that. It doesn't dry down the way I want it to, it does feel heavy."
"I had a hard time believing it was a dupe for the Charlotte Tilbury Flawless Filter because I really like that product. I don't know if I feel like it's easier to use. It feels like it's maybe not as radiant or as luminescent as the Charlotte Tilbury one, but it's a really great product. I find that I'm using it underneath my foundation, on top of my foundation. It's just so easy to use because it's not overly luminescent, and so I love it. I think it looks really great. I actually have tried it without any foundation on and just put that on a little bit of concealer, some blush, maybe, and then I go, and I think it's just really easy to use. It's like 15 dollars, so you might as well give it a try because it's pretty great."
"The Tatcha Rice Polish is one of the best products that Tatcha has out on the market. It is super foamy and creamy. The enzymes that are in the powder are gently exfoliating your skin. You're not going to get as strong of exfoliation as you get with typical AHAs or salicylic acid or anything like that, it's very gentle. Most skin types can tolerate that. The Tatcha Rice Polish is very gentle."
"I really love Helio Care which is pretty much the same kind of product. Both of these products are supplements that you take orally that give you more antioxidants that help defend your skin or protect your skin from the Sun and free radical damage. Neither of them take the place of sunscreen, but when you're a person like me who deals with melasma and you're really sensitive to the Sun, every day this just gives you that added boost of protection for your skin and I love it. "I decided to just try it because I was sent some mouth tape in PR. I was like, why not just see what the hype is about? And I'll tell you, I actually really like it. Not because I think it's changing the shape of my jaw, but because it keeps my mouth shut the whole time, and I find I wake up with less dry mouth in the morning. It does keep the mouth more moist and that helps to prevent cavities too, because if it's really dry then you're more cavity prone."
"This is the hydroquinone 6% from Apostrophe. I see every three or four months I pick up another bottle of hydroquinone from them just because I think it's such a great ingredient. It's the gold standard when it comes to dark spots. I deal with melasma and I decided this was really important. Usually I use it right before I'm going to do a treatment and then afterwards, especially if it's going to be a laser treatment, but I decided to use it this time knowing that I'm not going to do the cosmetic treatment and also I was dealing with all this hyperpigmentation."

How to Make a Skincare Routine in 4 Steps (Anti-Aging, Dry Skin, Oily Skin, & More) | Susan Yara
"I've been using hydroquinone to really help maintain those results along with other ingredients. Hydroquinone is the gold standard when it comes to hyperpigmentation and melasma. I tend to only use like one pump of this because I'm really only focusing it on the areas where I need it the most, and that's my cheeks and my nose. I also just really like the way theirs feels. There's a difference because if you're getting prescription treatments from your derm's office, sometimes they use compounding facilities and they give you these thick creams that feel like paste, and it's terrible."

Best Skincare for Hyperpigmentation, Dark Spots, & Melasma!
"Hydroquinone is the gold standard when it comes specifically to hyperpigmentation treatment. Hydroquinone works in a completely different way than tretinoin because this is a tyrosinase inhibitor. Tyrosinase is an enzyme you need to produce melanin in your skin, so you want to slow down that tyrosinase production so that you don't get the excess melanin production. Hydroquinone also decreases the amount of melanocytes present in your skin. Melanocytes are important because melanocytes produce melanin and if you remember what I said at the beginning melanin is what produces that pigment in your skin. This one is from Apostrophe, this is their hydroquinone 6% because this is prescription I tend to use it right before I'm going to get a treatment done like some kind of a laser or a chemical peel and also right after I've had that treatment done. It's very gentle and the best thing is when you're using these tyrosinase inhibiting ingredients like hydroquinone you can use it in conjunction with ingredients like your retinoids so then you get like this one two punch."
How I Prep My Skin BEFORE a Treatment (Laser or Chemical Peel) | Skincare Routine
"Hydroquinone is just one of those ingredients that is unmatched if you want a tyrosinase inhibitor. This is the mama ingredient, this is the queen of all the tyrosinase inhibitors, this is the one that has the most studies behind it and that really shows the most impact when it comes to your hyperpigmentation. So if you really want to see results, hydroquinone is the ingredient that you have to go for. I use my hydroquinone on my skin to make sure I don't get any hyperpigmentation any PIH after my treatment was done on my skin. You do still need supervision from a professional from a Dermatology team because hydroquinone is not an ingredient that you want to just use continuously. Sometimes people experience an issue called ochronosis where their skin gets worse. But it's just so convenient that you can get online and get this prescription through Apostrophe."
My Current Nighttime Skincare Routine for Anti-Aging & Melasma! | Susan Yara
"This is 6% hydroquinone and I make sure to focus it on the areas where my melasma really stands out. I have had hydroquinone prescribed to me before from a compounding pharmacy and it's usually this really terrible cream that's hard to use and incorporate into your skincare routine. This one from Apostrophe is very nice. The formula is light and hydrating. I can use other products after this and it won't feel too heavy. The reason I've been using hydroquinone is I've been in between getting clear and Brilliant treatments done. Whenever you've got something like melasma you're prone to getting hyperpigmentation, so it's really great to use a tyrosinase inhibitor to prevent those dark spots from forming, especially as you're getting these treatments done. It's kind of reinforcing the treatment because it's helping to get rid of your dark spots but it's also helping to prevent in case your skin gets too irritated from those treatments. I can't be on it indefinitely, but I'll probably stay on it while I'm in this cycle of getting these treatments done and it's been really wonderful for my skin. I've seen a lot of people say your melasma is looking so much better. Hydroquinone is the gold standard ingredient when it comes to preventing and getting rid of dark spots."

I find it to be super convenient especially when I'm trying to get my prescriptions. Once you've sent in your information you'll get a response from the Dermatology team and then they'll let you know what they think is happening with your skin and what ingredients you should be using to treat whatever skin issue you're dealing with. It is the most helpful to be able to do this at any time so whatever skin issue you're dealing with they'll let you know what it is that you need. I personally love it because I can log onto my computer late at night and send a message to an expert derm team and let them know whatever it is that I'm dealing with. You upload a few pictures right from your computer, send in your questions, and you might get more questions about things you were mentioning or you'll get prescribed very specific treatments that you need for your skin. "It's a great vitamin C serum in my opinion, very comparable to the Skinceuticals C E Ferulic, but I also think this one's a little bit better because it's just a much better price. It has 15% ascorbic acid in it, it also has ferulic acid, so you get a little bit of that smell, but it's nowhere near as intense as the Skinceuticals one. It's very faint and it dissipates pretty quickly. Instead of vitamin E there's a different antioxidant that helps to not only keep the ascorbic acid more stable but it also helps your skin by providing more antioxidant benefits to it. There's niacinamide in here, there are so many other really nice ingredients in this serum. I just think it's great if you're looking for a traditional vitamin C serum. That said, it is at that lower pH level, so if you've experienced other classic traditional vitamin C serums and they irritated your skin, there's a chance that this one will, but it's such a good price, it's so affordable that it's always worth trying out."
"One of the most recent ones that launched is called Thiamadol. It's an ingredient that's in a product called Eucerin Radiant Tone and it's actually been available around the world for the last seven years. It's been a big component of what people around the world have been using to treat pigment, but we just got it here in the US. It works by inhibiting tyrosinase. Tyrosinase is the enzyme that is the most critical enzyme in the manufacturing of melanin. So if you inhibit tyrosinase, you reduce melanin in the skin because it can't create it. What made it unique is that it inhibits human tyrosinase. All of the active ingredients that we know of that inhibit tyrosinase have been tested on mushroom tyrosinase because mushrooms have tyrosinase, which is why they turn brown. The scientists who were working on this ingredient found an assay to look at what inhibits human tyrosinase, which is actually quite different than mushroom tyrosinase. And they found it to be a really potent inhibitor of mushroom tyrosinase. They developed this product around this active ingredient and it works great. I've been using it in my practice."
"This is from Dermatology. This is their Needleless Growth Factor Serum. I've been into growth factors and I'm always curious to know if something's worth telling you about. I don't have an opinion about this, so I'm not telling you to go out and buy it just yet, but I did start using it. It was sent to me in PR and so far the thing I can tell you the most is that it feels nice. I got like an instant glow. That in itself is a nice benefit."
"I did Cosmelan, one round of it, like just the main part of it a few months ago and I felt like that really helped with my melasma. I loved the results I got from Cosmelan. The real true process of doing like the whole month of it is a little bit brutal because you're like peeling and kind of orange the entire time and I could not stand that. So this more recent time I just did the main part of it, peeled for like a few days and then I was done with it and then I just kind of maintained with hydroquinone for a little bit."
"Right now I'm telling all these people like, let's say you have a problem with dark spots for example, which is one of our bestselling products. I would tell you like, oh you got to buy this, this and this. And I thought to myself, why can't we just put these all in one product? It's not as simple as it seems obviously, like trying to put all these ingredients in one formula, stabilizing and putting them at the right pH, it's not an easy task. So that's where we started, trying to create products that were truly differentiated, all-in-one treatments to solve people's problems. It would also reduce waste, you're not buying so many products. It would also make people's lives easier. You know, the busy mom, the busy dad, somebody who doesn't want to layer multiple products could find our products and still see the good results that they wanted to see."

"From my brand Nutrium Multipeptide Rich Cream, she is rich and that is exactly what I need with this tried skin right now. It's just a really nice rich cream. I love peptides, they have so many anti-aging benefits, and this one just feels so good on the skin. "There was one study that showed bitter almond oil when paired with massage, so not alone but paired with massage, Centella asiatica, hyaluronic acid. So if you want to do a combo of those and really massage them in, keeping things moisturized, if anything just for comfort because your skin gets a little bit itchy and dry as it starts to stretch."

I Dissolved My Filler...AGAIN! Ultrasound-Guided Filler Dissolving Process
"HA filler has lasted a lot longer than what FDA has stamped on the box. After dissolving twice I felt like that was a lot. We went deep with it too, like the cannula really was in there, they were trying to dissolve everything. What makes it last even after all that, twice?"
"This has human platelets in it so think PRP, they're using human platelets with the exosomes. It's a much smaller bottle, only 15 ml whereas the other one is 30 ml. The Plated one is a much better experience. It does not have a disgusting smell to it, it has some kind of a smell but it's not disgusting, and I find that it dries down nicer. You can use it morning or night. They're promoting that it helps with wrinkles and also helps with any kinds of dark spots or redness, so it seemed like they were promoting more of a product that helps with any kind of skin issue whether it comes to redness, dark spots, aging or wound healing. This is a much better experience that you're getting half of the product for about the same price. I've only been using it for about a week but my skin looks good."

Nighttime Skincare Routine for Perioral Dermatitis & Melasma
"This is like a little tiny travel size of the Plated Intense Serum. I got this from my esthetician Amy Peterson in Miami. I've just been using it because last time I went through an entire bottle of this and I wasn't sure if I saw any results. The claim is that you see results from these exosomes. That's what this is. It's a little pricey. You're supposed to see results from the exosomes when you use it right after some kind of a treatment. So I did the cosmetic peel a week ago, and it's supposed to help calm the redness and help heal your skin a little bit faster and you're supposed to get more results."

How to Shave Your Face with a Face Oil!
"Hypochlorous acid is great for people who have reactive skin, it's antibacterial, antimicrobial, it's also just really soothing for the skin. This one's from Prequel, it's my favorite one out there, it's really affordable. I really just love the way it sprays, it's nice and soothing. I love using hypochlorous acid especially after I work out, like right after the gym when I'm not going directly into the shower, I spray this on and it helps you to just not break out. It is so nice, but I especially think it's great for post shave and when you cut yourself."

"Using just plain old olive oil is not going to have the same effect as like a cleansing oil or a cleansing balm that's made with oils and waxes and the main reason for that is because it does not emulsify and it doesn't completely rinse off. If you go over to the sink and you try to rinse it off you almost have to use like scaling hot water to get it to rinse off and even at that you can still feel it on your skin and even if you use like a cleanser you still have it on your skin. That's what the olive oil is doing to your skin so if you're using it to cleanse your skin you're not getting that full effect that you get from an actual cleansing oil or from even different oils. This is why I'm always like don't just DIY this and go for an oil that you have sitting in your kitchen use something that has been formulated for your skin because this is the exact reason why I see people tell me that they can't use oils on their skin it's because they've tried a DIY at home and then they had a bad reaction their skin broke out their pores got more clogged and it's because if you're using something like this, if you're using an olive oil like this or a really heavy oil like this just on its own just pure olive oil to cleanse your skin it's not going to work."
"It's a really great ingredient because you're getting that benefit of the hydration but also the exfoliation, but on top of that it has salicylic acid in it, it has malic acid which is an AHA that's also really great for hydrating your skin, and it has petrolatum in it so it's nice and thick and really helps to lock in any kind of hydration and moisture on your skin. It is a fantastic foot cream. It has all the ingredients that you really should be using to tackle dry spots and patchiness and rough spots basically when it comes to your feet."
"I love their niacinamide and zinc serum. I think it's just good for all over balancing, toning, and a lot of really good properties, and I also just love the way it feels on my skin. It feels like a layer of protection. The niacinamide serum from the ordinary is a classic. I feel like it was revolutionary for the skincare industry."
"It has 3% copper peptides and a blend of peptides at 13%. At first I was really into it. It has this really rich blue tone to it, it has a gel cream texture to it, but over time I just felt like that texture was weird to incorporate into my skincare routine. Like it wasn't a typical serum step but it also wasn't a moisturizer, it just didn't fit into my skincare routine well. But I enjoyed it enough to finish it."
"There's nowhere on their website that says the technology is any different. In my opinion it's just more marketing. It seems like it's the same technology just different devices so that they can sell different devices to you. I did feel like my skincare products were penetrating my skin more, but what I didn't like about it is there isn't a lot of information on what it's really doing for your skin besides penetrating your skin more. Is it actually stimulating any collagen? The pamplet suggests you don't go up higher than a one or a two, but it goes up to like five speeds. If you go up higher and get close to your eye you can feel it kind of tweaks your eye out a little bit, so that gets me a little bit weirded out. How safe is it for your skin? The tests on it show that this worked on drugs so you can kind of make some guesses that this can transfer over to skincare products, but it's not always that simple. It's like more of a good concept. I used the device for about 30 days and felt like it did help my skincare products penetrate a little bit deeper, but it felt like a chore to use it mostly because it says you have to use it like five times a week to see the best results. The more you use it the better the results, and it just started to feel like a chore and I wasn't seeing enough of a difference. At some point I did feel like my skin felt irritated."

"It uses electroporation, which essentially means it's like sending these electric pulses into your skin in a safe way, creating almost like passageways for your skincare products to penetrate your skin. The tests on it show that this worked on drugs, so you can kind of make some guesses that this can transfer over to the use of skincare products, but it's not always that simple. It's more of a good concept. The more you use it, the better the results, and it just started to feel like a chore and I wasn't seeing enough of a difference. At some point I did feel like my skin felt irritated. I can't tell you if that was because maybe it was helping my skincare products absorb more and some of those products were things like retinoids, or if the device was actually irritating my skin. Once I removed the device from my skincare routine, my skin went back to normal after a few days. I don't really know how I feel about the device. I'll probably use it occasionally because it did feel nice, you're kind of massaging your skin with it, but if you want to invest in a skincare device, I think there are better ones that have so many more studies behind them and are easier to use."
"I'm just trying to support my skin barrier and I want to add in all the moisture and hydration. I'm going to go in with this from The Ordinary, it is the Soothing and Barrier Support Serum. I bought this probably like a month and a half ago and I just started using it. You can see it has B12 in it that gives it this really beautiful pink tone to it, which I also just think is really fun, but it has other really nice soothing ingredients like Centella asiatica. So again, I'm trying to just make sure that my skin barrier feels really nice and strong and supported."
"A vitamin C serum is efficacious, but this one has a very short ingredient list which doesn't always translate to efficacy because ascorbic acid is very unstable. That said, there are other vitamin C derivatives in this product that will stabilize the vitamin C, the ascorbic acid, but also offer you more benefits as well. It's got a lot of antioxidants going for it no matter what in this serum."

"This might be my favorite Naturium launch of all time. If you're not familiar with peptides, they're a string of amino acids that make up the proteins that make up basically all of our cells including our skin cells. It has quickly become a Holy Grail in my skincare routine. I feel like I can't live without it anymore. We have four really amazing superstar ingredients in here, two of them are obviously peptide ingredients. First up there are copper peptides. I feel like copper peptides are the ingredient when it comes to peptides. Copper peptides have so many benefits. First off, they are antioxidants, meaning they're going to help strengthen your skin over time. They can also help strengthen your skin barrier."

"It promotes firmer looking skin and gives you that more lifted look. I personally love the bouncy plump juicy look that it gives my skin, which in turn helps to reduce the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles. It gives you more youthful looking skin. The texture is this beautiful milky serum that hydrates your skin and feels so nice as it starts to absorb. It leaves my skin feeling so hydrated and dewy and super plump. I use this morning and night in my skincare routine because these are peptides that work with any of your other skincare ingredients, so it's so easy to incorporate this into your skincare routine."

I use this morning and night in my skincare routine because these are peptides that work with any of your other skincare ingredients, so it's so easy to incorporate this into your skincare routine. You can use it with any of the other Naturium products because it just works so well in any skincare routine. I am obsessed with it."
"I like to put on the Naturium multi-peptide moisturizer. It's not the heavy one. It's the medium one. It's our Goldilocks moisturizer is what I tell everybody. That one's so good. It's so good."
"It uses this ingredient because it helps with barrier support, it helps even with some hyperpigmentation, but it also helps with soothing. It says that's an active molecule in licorice known to soothe and brighten the skin, so they're taking the active molecule in licorice rather than just the extract, which I love. I also really love the texture of this, it's kind of like a heavy gel texture with some body to it that's still lightweight, so you can still layer other products with it. And actually, of all the Prequel products, I think this feels like a Korean beauty skincare product. It doesn't smell like anything, which I love."
"My favorite vitamin C serum to recommend for people with dry skin is from my own brand Nutrium, it is our Vitamin C Complex Serum. The reason why I think this is great for people with dry skin is one it's very gentle and that's because we use a vitamin C that is conjugated with glutathione which is another antioxidant and also with gold and it just helps create this stabilization of it. It's kind of like a form of encapsulation it keeps the vitamin C stable which we know vitamin C is notoriously unstable. But it also means it helps to penetrate your skin a little bit better. Because it's in this type of encapsulation method you don't have to worry about having a really low pH which is usually what you have to do with vitamin C serum to get it to work properly. We actually don't have to make this at a low pH so it's not acidic so if you have dry skin it's very unlikely that you'll experience any kind of irritation with this vitamin C. If you've used vitamin C before and it always irritates your skin, I always suggest trying this one out. It's a really good price but also it's very hydrating because of the way that we formulate this. It has a lot of glycerin in it, there's hyaluronic acid in it so you'll notice that your skin just looks and feels plumper and more hydrated."
"The first one is from my brand Nutrium, it's our Multipeptide Advanced Serum. We have some really great peptides in them including encapsulated copper peptides that yes can be used with your vitamin C. We have our Jeraline Amplified in there, it helps to just make your skin look more lifted and it helps it look smoother and brighter and just really nice and plump and juicy."
"This is from Goodall, it's their Green Tangerine Vitamin C Dark Spot Serum. This is more of like a vitamin C derivative, so I really use this because it's just really nourishing for my skin. It makes it look glowy and bouncy. I love this product. I go through bottles of this. I've done sponsorships with them. Love it, love this product. I think it's just a really enjoyable experience when you use it."
"This is the Yam Root Vegan Milk Cleanser. This is a really easy to use cream cleanser. I like cream cleansers. I feel like sometimes we think we need to strip our skin when we get clogged pores, but sometimes I feel like it's the opposite. We need to nourish our skin. It's really nice and gentle. One of the main ingredients in here is actually sunflower seed oil. So linoleic acid rich oil helps to unclog the pores, nourishes your skin at the same time. It's just a really good one. So highly recommend it. You could actually use this as your first and your second cleanse, like put it on to dry skin first and then go in a second time on wet skin. And I bet you it would take off a decent amount of glam. Like if you had full-blown glam, maybe not, but light sunscreen, tinted sunscreen, that kind of a stitch, better do the job."
"It is not really what you think when you think oil cleanser, it's like a gel cleanser. It does not strip your skin, it cleanses well. I'm liking it again."
"This is the Prequel Pre-Cleanse Cleansing Oil. I think it's really good. It feels very juicy for like an oil. I don't know how to explain it, but it's juicy and I like that. I've been using it a lot lately and it breaks everything down so easily. See, it does a good job at emulsifying."
"I use the Dove unscented solid cleansing bar on my pits and bits. This is essentially not a soap, it's a solid super fatted solid cleansing bar but unscented. This is just the best texture."
"Our living cleansing balm is by far the hero SKU right, everyone loves it, it's been the most viral on social and we have just super fans and loyal fans. The living cleansing balm has won so many awards."
"This one from Clinique is a great one. Lots of people use this cleansing balm, it's a really good one. Warm that up, don't put it directly onto your eyelashes and onto your eye makeup. Warm it up, turn it into an oil and you're going to get so much more out of that. I like products that don't dry me out while they're removing whatever makeup I had on during the day, and I find that this cleansing balm really does the job there. Work that into a beautiful oil, massage it onto your face and you won't even need to use a washcloth."

"I love the Clinique Take The Day Off, it is a cleansing balm, it's very straightforward. It is such a good price, it is fragrance free, it works, it rinses well, it is solid, definitely solid. A cleansing balm starts off almost like a waxy texture and it melts into an oil, and that is the true benefit of a cleansing balm. You scoop out your cleansing balm, warm it into your hand to turn it into an oil, then rub it onto your face. You're going to use even less than you would think while you're massaging it onto your skin."

"It is from Crave Beauty, it is their Makeup Rewind Transforming Jelly Oil Cleanser. I love this stuff, it is so nice. It feels like a light jelly, kind of breaks into an oil. I massage it onto dry skin, break down all my makeup and sunscreen, rinse it off, then go in with my next cleanse. This is just so nice. I find people who don't love a typical oil cleanser as their first cleanse will enjoy this, and it has this light, really pretty, light faint scent to it that makes it also a nice experience. Love this stuff."

"Tower 28 MakeWaves lengthening mascara is a wonderful daytime mascara. It lengthens my lashes, it doesn't necessarily make them look really full but it lengthens them, it makes them stand out, it doesn't get everywhere, and because it's water resistant and not waterproof it's not hard to get off so it's not damaging your lashes. It holds my curl. The one note if I have to give it a little critique is that when it gets to the end and it's a little bit drier it does get a little clumpy, but for me it's amazing. Living in Miami with the humidity and all that, it does really well in that."

But I don't use it anymore and I don't think I ever will. It was partially marketing and partially packaging. I feel like there are other volumizing mascaras that are even better."
"They're affordable, like I don't know $13 or something like that, and they are really smooth, they're waterproof, they have a few different shades that you can choose from. They are really so good and easy to use. If you're not familiar with using a brow pen, I find brow pens to be really intimidating in theory, but it's actually super easy. Once it's dry you can just take the brow pen and just kind of fill in with really gentle strokes to make it look like you've got a hair there wherever you need it. The mascara has to be really good for me to be like oh my god wow I would actually consider spending an x amount of dollars on this mascara to re-buy it and have it again. I love the wand for the top, the wand is a little bit bigger, it's more of a volumizing brush with a bigger brush."

"Following that up with the Avène Tolerance Control Cream. This is their soothing skin recovery cream. It's a nice rich cream that feels really soothing on the skin and I want to just lock everything down because I know that this dermatitis is being caused from irritation. So, this is going to help a lot."
"The magic cream from Charlotte Tilbury. I used to love this. I still do. I just haven't used it in a long time. I quite like the Charlotte Tilbury range because it's made especially to go under foundations and things like that. So, I find it works better."

"I love the Charlotte Tilbury Magic Cream. Is it overpriced? Absolutely. It is bougie. It just smells really nice, it feels really nice. Is it pretty basic? Absolutely. Is it nice and thick? Yes. Does it work well under makeup if you've got dry skin? Absolutely. I like it. It's just expensive, unnecessarily expensive. So that's always just something to keep in mind."

"I actually really like this product. It has antioxidants in it, it actually has that gold conjugated vitamin C that I love so much in it as well, so you're actually getting a really good vitamin C treatment from this. But it also makes your skin look really pretty. It has like a luminescence to it as well, so it's just immediately giving you that temporary brightening effect. But it's also a brightening antioxidant vitamin C serum. Going to bed I'm using something that has hydration and moisturization and it's occlusive, which means it's not letting any transepidermal water loss happen. I love it."

"I just started using this and I really like it, especially if I'm using something like the retinol complex cream that's a little bit richer. This is just a light moisturizer, but it feels very moisturizing actually. It's just a lighter texture. And I've been liking it, especially in Miami where it's humid and you don't want to put on a super super thick moisturizer. This does a really good job for my dry skin, but in the humidity. It has very similar ingredients as the original, but I feel like it gives you a little bit more of a sheen, like a glow to your skin. The retinol complex cream is moisturizing, but it doesn't really give you that glossy skin glow. This does. That's what I've been liking about it. It smells pretty. If you don't mind fragrance, I don't mind it."
"Remember it was like Embryolisse and like La Mer used to be like the go-to moisturizers you would use under makeup back in the day. I have a theory about that. The theory is there was we weren't in tune to all the other magical formulas that can work just as well, so it was like you know it took like a couple makeup artists on set to probably talk about it in a news article or magazine, and then it just started to spread and then no one wanted to take that next step to find the next best thing so we all just kind of followed suit. This is boring. It's so thick, not everybody needs a thicker. A really oily skinned client is not going to benefit from having La Mer under their makeup period. Skin prep is going to be different for everyone. The idea that La Mer is King for skin prep, no it's not."

"I'm going to take this balm from Prequel, it's their Skin Utility Ointment, a multi-purpose skin protectant that has a lot of petrolatum in it, which is what I'm using it for. I got perioral dermatitis last year, and the minute I see any of that start up, I'm going to prevent that from happening again. Usually it's my retinoids, especially when I go really strong, that can cause that in this specific area, so I'm just going to protect it before I go in with my retinoid."
I Did a Cosmelan Chemical Peel at Home! Sharing the Process, Before and Afters, and Review
"I am a little sensitive right here, I got perioral dermatitis last year, so I'm going to go in with this from Prequel. It is their Skin Utility Ointment. It's petroleum-based so it's going to protect that little area. The main ingredient in this is azelaic acid, but it's a high amount of it. It spreads much easier than I thought it was going to. You want a fairly thick layer apparently because it's going to dry like a clay mask. Azelaic acid, there's phytic acid, there's retinol palmitate in here and other ingredients, and I didn't see hydroquinone or besides the retinol palmitate I didn't see like a stronger vitamin A ingredient or retinoid, which is interesting to me. So it's really the azelaic acid that's doing the heavy lifting. Apparently there's niacinamide in here too, which I think niacinamide is actually a really great ingredient for discoloration. People don't give it enough credit for that."
"The Ordinary Natural Moisturizing Factors + HA moisturizer is a really nice midweight moisturizer. It has super nourishing ingredients in there, has a ton of different amino acids that help to strengthen and support your skin barrier, and it just feels nice and creamy but not too heavy. It doesn't leave your skin looking greasy, so I find that it's just a really nice moisturizer for most skin types but especially for someone with dry skin."
"That Tatcha moisturizer is a fantastic moisturizer, no notes. I think all skin types can benefit from a nice rich moisturizer in their nighttime routine. Even people that have oily acne prone skin can use it. Your skin needs that nourishment. I always believe this, even if you're unbelievably oily, use a richer moisturizer at night and see how your skin does after a month. I think you'd be pleasantly surprised because I think most people can benefit from a thick, nice moisturizer."
"I love this cream because it's rich, it's thick, it's super moisturizing, and my skin is historically just so dry and from travel, like it does dry you out. My facialist recommended this cream and I just am addicted to it. Is it overpriced? Absolutely, 100%. The patent that they have is very interesting to me. It's a delivery system and they have it patented, and you can as a consumer go look up this patent. It was created by a doctor, Augustine Bader, who did research and created this patent for medical use, and they basically translated it to an inclusive that can help ingredients penetrate your skin."
"The Acne Expert Skincare Calming Moisture Gel allows skin to breathe, which is great for those who prefer a light hydrator. It has a very simple ingredient list with calming ingredients like allantoin, glycerin, panthenol, and aloe vera. It's a very straightforward hydrating gel moisturizer. The cooling feeling is nice, but there aren't that many ingredients in here that are going to make it feel occlusive. If you're going to be sweating and you're already prone to being a little bit more oily, a gel moisturizer would be the way to go to keep your skin care light. That said, if you want that gel cooling feeling but also need something more occlusive with more film formers to lock everything in, especially if you're going to be wearing makeup on camera, you'd want to look for something different."
"I'm breaking up with tretinoin and I'm never going back. I've been in a roller coaster relationship with tretinoin for over a decade and at this point I've decided we are too toxic for each other. It is not working out and I have to officially break up with tretinoin."
"This is the new version of the Airbrush Flawless Foundation. The original one I personally found a little bit too thick and I didn't love it because I'm a real skin guy and I found that it covered the skin too much, almost like masked it. But they just brought a new version out which is a bit more modern, like blurring, smoothing, weightless, that whole jazz, and yeah, I like it."
"This is the new one from Makeup by Mario, the Surreal Skin. My makeup artist Joselyn in New York used it on me and I was obsessed and I went out and bought it myself."
"I want you to get one of these Dior foundation sticks. Usually foundation sticks are thicker and heavier, but this is what I wear. This is what I'm wearing right now. I don't have much makeup on. I just put it onto my brush and I put it on my face. And this is like my natural go-to. And it's really really fast."
"The foundation I've been obsessed with is by Lisa Eldridge. So good. My makeup artist in London introduced me to that one, and I've been bringing it everywhere. I'm wearing it right now because I raved about it. It has a very skin-like finish. It's almost like a soft matte satin matte finish. Luminous but still matte. "I love that they came out with this. It's a very old school, it just reminds you, it takes you back to like makeup artistry, like the roots of makeup artistry. Like, you know, Mac forever had like the lightest, whitest foundation you could find, like the deepest foundation you could find, and I really like that they did that. I think that's a really cool thing. They probably sell like two SKUs a year of it, but it doesn't matter. Like, they have it and it's thoughtful from a makeup artist standpoint. It's actually a really cool tool to have in your makeup kit. You should have like the lightest of something in terms of foundation and the deepest of something, and if you are good with mixing and you understand color theory and undertones and all those things, you can utilize those as a mixing medium to either lighten foundations or deepen them if you're a professional makeup artist."
"This is the L'Oreal Skin Tint. I do love this formula, but unfortunately L'Oreal didn't invest in a wiper. Usually when you have a dropper like this you will have a wiper, and the wiper's purpose is to actually wipe down the excess formula from around the pipette so you don't get this mess. L'Oreal did not invest in a wiper, and as such you can see there's a huge amount of product collecting on the pipette itself and therefore spilling out around the bottle neck. A lot of consumers love this product, but they say a dropper is just such a hindrance to using it on a daily basis. I would use it every day if it wasn't in this God awful packaging."
"If you want something that's glowy, I would prefer to use this than the nude glow from IT Cosmetics, it's just way better, it's so far superior to that formula. Lightweight, gives you glow, it looks beautiful, it's not going to crease, it just sits on your skin beautifully. I absolutely love the light serum texture with light to medium coverage."

"NARS Light Reflecting Foundation is one of two foundations that I've ever put on my face and just posted to Instagram without even talking about the foundation, and people were just asking what I was wearing. It's so luminous and so glowy. I'm actually surprised how much I love it on my skin. It's the first foundation to me that truly gives you that skin tint glow finish but you also get the staying power and coverage of a foundation. Sometimes it's a little too glowy, like if it's really hot outside or you're in a humid climate. It definitely reflects light, which it does, and like it's called Light Reflecting Foundation. You have to be very strategic about how you set this one. I'm mindful of what situation you're wearing it in, because if you're just out and about casually going about your day, amazing, but you need to think about the context."

Don't let the fact that it has luminous in the title deter you if you have more oily skin. I think this is like just one of the best foundations it's ever been formulated and put on the market. "This is a personal favorite of mine. This summer it has replaced my Armani Foundation. It's sweat resistant, it is truly sweat resistant. The Dior is a game changer if you are working outside. I have a lot of clients that shoot outside, we do commercials all day, we're out on the elements, and I have tons of people in the fitness industry where I do their makeup and then they actually do a workout program, so their makeup needs to stay put. I've used it on brides, I've used it on tons of people for special occasions, it does not move."
"I used to religiously wear my It Cosmetics CC Cream as my sunscreen, that was it, that was all I would put on and I thought it's SPF 50, I am protected. And you know what, listen, it gives you a little bit of protection, there's no doubt about it, but the amount of makeup that you have to use to actually reach that kind of protection would look so funny on your skin. It would be clown-looking makeup. You would look like you have a face mask on to be able to achieve the actual SPF number that is on that makeup if you're just relying on your makeup."
"I've been using this, it's from Makeup Forever, it's their HD Skin Hydra Glow. This was sent to me in PR a while back and I have been so into this foundation. I love it."

I personally think this is just a good opportunity while your skin is nice and fresh and clean to get your red light therapy in."

"I like the CurrentBody and these flatter silicone type masks because they're really great for travel. I can easily throw it into my suitcase and it does not make any difference in my suitcase. Some of the things I really like about CurrentBody specifically is that they're one of the first companies to really put out this kind of professional LED mask, and also I like that they have lots of information that they're willing to give you as a company. They've done a lot of studies. They have something that spreads out throughout the mask so you're getting more of an even distribution of the LED light. I like that they point that stuff out. Now that there are so many masks on the market, you really want more information. If a brand is willing to give you all of that, then that makes me trust them more, so that's why I go with CurrentBody. I probably use my LED mask about four times a week if I'm being honest."

They've done a lot of studies. They even have something that I want to say they call it like PilloTech or something which basically means that the LED lights, the bulbs aren't just directly hitting your face, they're actually spreading out throughout the mask so you're getting more of an even distribution of the LED light. I like that they point that stuff out. Now that there are so many masks on the market, you really want just more information. It can't hurt you to have all this information, and if a brand is willing to give you all of that then that makes me trust them more. That's why I go with CurrentBody. "I love these so so much. They make a really great gift. Anytime I want my skin to just look and feel more hydrated, especially if it feels like it's dull and dry, I'll use one of these. They fit well on your face. They do dry down. I wear them for like an hour or so. As soon as they turn clear on your face, you peel them off and then you just see that your skin really looks different. Like it looks glossy. It feels hydrated. It's plump and dewy. Obsessed."
"For some really mild exfoliation, I'm going to use this ground rice and honey glow mask from Beauty of Joseon. I've only used it once. It has a little bit of that physical exfoliation because it has that rice powder in it, but it's not strong at all. Like, it feels very very gentle and because of the honey, it's super soothing and moisturizing to the skin. It's nourishing to the skin. It kind of smells good, too. The main ingredient in here is like a byproduct of rice water. So, it's supposed to be really good for your skin just in general. You can see there's little granules in it, but they don't feel strong at all. This is not a scrub. After I rinsed three times, I do not feel like I stripped my skin. Face is really clean, but it still feels nice and nourished. That is the key."
"I do love the ordinary that peeling solution which is 2% BHA 30% AHA but it scares me. I don't think it would suit your skin if you're sensitive. I mean, I don't put any, I get my perioral dermatitis here so I just can't put it there."
"I've just started using this one from Cure. It's a little bit funnier looking to me. I usually use the one from Current Body mostly because they gave me a lot of studies and everything that just show how well it works. I've been curious about this one from Cure because not only does it fit your face a little bit tighter but you're supposed to get the same benefits after using it for 3 minutes and they also have blue light which I don't tend to use. I'm really just all about the red light. LED therapy is really great every single day but it's also especially great after shaving, after nicking yourself, anything like that because it also helps to fight bacteria. I've been using this one. It's only 3 minutes. I'll say I like that it's only 3 minutes. I like that it fits closer to the face but I don't get that same like relaxed benefit I get from using the Current Body one for 10 minutes. So I don't know what that is because if you're getting the same benefits from using it for only 3 minutes, shouldn't I also be getting that benefit of that relaxation that LED therapy gives me? I don't know but we'll see."
"I love the texture of it, it's super light. It has these little encapsulated bubbles in it that release the hydration onto your skin as you apply it. It feels nice on your skin. I put this on as the last step in my skincare routine at night time and then I wake up with really nice hydrated plump skin. It smells pretty. I think it feels a little bit thicker than the OG sleeping mask because that one's more like a gel and this one is gel-like but it has a slightly thicker texture, just slightly, but it's nice. I recommend it."
"I used to rip on Lanolips and like those lip masks, but I have used the Lanolips mask recently and I find it's actually better. It feels nice and it's not as nourishing as Vaseline, so it's not like an experience that's better in that way, but it's rich and nourishing but not so slippy where if you try to wipe it off you still have a slip on your lips. It's grippier. A lot of makeup artists use it in their kit to prep lips because it's going to wipe off easier too. I personally don't like it as a sleeping mask though, I want something thicker, but it's really good."
"Before I dry my face I actually need to do a double cleanse so I use the special gel thing and what I like to do is I'll get the gel and then also get the microfoliant and then I'll pop it in, I'll make like a little thing and then I'll make sure I have wet hands and wet skin and then mix it together. You just have to get used to the sensation of having wet colors, it's kind of gross but it works. I actually do want to mix my microfoliant with just any cleanser, a gel cleanser. I think I'm gonna mix it with a gel cleanser and see what happens."

"It's always going to be a holy grail for me. It's a five for me, it's 100% five. It works for everyone in my opinion. I've put it on everyone and it doesn't disappoint me. It's also a phenomenal touch-up product. I love it."

"It really works so well, performs amazing, and lasts all day long. Unless you've used way too much of it, it's not going to crease, and if you have really dry under eyes that you haven't properly prepped with moisture, that's going to crease and look cakey, but that's with any formula. This is like my no-fail go-to. It's a very flexible formula where you can get so much variety of finishes with it. You can build it to be like super full coverage or you could just do a touch of it and blend it out and it's really, really natural. You can use it for no-makeup makeup looks which look beautiful and almost undetectable if you use a small amount. The versatility you get with it is just really unmatched. I would give it 10 stars. It's one of the products that I would probably give the highest rating to, and it's been one of my longest holy grails ever."
"I'm going to use the Haus Labs concealer today which is one of my favorites. I feel like it's very skin-like, it's right between satin and dewy, it's just perfect and it's not going to be too heavy or creasy or anything like that, just stays on the skin and I love that."

"There's no need to put concealer on to reduce redness and to spot conceal. It's a waste of time, it's also a waste of product. Concealers are in smaller tubes because they're highly pigmented, very full coverage products. I would suggest going in with foundation first and then doing some additional spot concealing with that concealer. That's just the order that is the best recommended for makeup."
"I used to use this concealer all the time long ago and I was always mixed on it. I love full coverage so you'd think that would have aligned with what my aesthetic was, but it just didn't do it for me. I didn't like the applicator, that thick dop. What I really hate about that product is they're so messy. The dop foot has a wiper inside that never really wiped off enough product, so you'd end up with a massive amount of concealer on the dop foot. It would also get and start to run along the side of the container and leak, and then when you'd put the cap back on and twist it, it would squeeze out and create such a mess. One thing I really liked to use it for was to prep eyelids. It was phenomenal eyelid prep. But overall, I've always been neutral on it. It's fine, and I didn't understand the hype."
"It feels really nice and creamy and hydrating, which I feel like a lot of people love for their under eye concealer. It seems like a bottle that you'll never finish, which is good and bad. It's really really popular, not just amongst like Ulta shoppers but just people in general. To me it kind of reminds me of like a more hydrating Shape Tape."

"The first time I used it in my late 20s, I thought this is really dry, like this doesn't feel good, this does accentuate my lines. It wasn't until later on, because I would continue buying it, that at some point it clicked for me. It was one of those products where I had to use it several times over the span of a couple of years for it to click for me. I think it's because you have to use the right amount and you have to have the right skin prep, and if you do, it is the best concealer to work with as a non-pro and probably for a pro. It's one of my favorites. It gives a proper amount of coverage, I don't need a lot of it, and it never looks dry and creasy on me."
"The red counteracts the blue. She's got the color corrector and I was really hoping she was gonna pull one out. The color corrector laid down properly, and then she could go on with like a very thin layer of the Armani just to kind of smooth out any edges and then go in with the concealer. Instead she's putting that color corrector on top of a foundation color and that's just not going to work well. You're going to end up with a little bit of like a muddy effect."
"This is the honeydew lip mask. It's a light lip balm. It contains lactic acid in it. And I know that sounds scary for the lips, but it's not. Lactic acid is actually really hydrating. It can also be exfoliating, so it ends up being a great product to give you super smooth lips. It's not really really heavy. If you like a light balm, this is very nice. It's more of like a treatment for your lips."
"The combo I use the absolute most on my lips are the Makeup Forever Wherever walnut lip liner. I've got like three or four because they're so good. I just kind of go across on the outer edge of my natural lip shade. It's kind of like my go-to brownie pink. Brownie pink tone is what I've been loving."
"Remedy for healthy aging, which is the product that I use. It's like retinol, exfoliating acids, peptides. I love this product. Everybody I know, this super high repurchase rate, people love this product, and it's just super moisturizing for people that are in their late 20s, early 30s and beyond that want that moisturizing effect. It's a beautiful product."
"I have to throw out there with all the lip balms on the market now I think that one's probably at the bottom of the list for me as far as my favorite lip balms especially for nighttime. I love something really rich and thick, and it's on the lighter side in my opinion and just doesn't last on my lips. But I also have dry skin. There's nothing wrong with that lip balm, it's just not one of my favorites."
"I love that Jack Black Lip Balm. I've talked about this for years, it is my favorite SPF lip balm. It's SPF 25. When it comes to a lip balm, SPF 25 is great because you're constantly reapplying it anyway. It's not like you're not wiping it with your napkin when you're eating. You're reapplying your lip balm throughout the day, so SPF 25 in a lip balm is fine for me. And it's the only lip balm I've ever used that does not leave a gross taste. It's actually a really pleasant product. I enjoy using it. I use this throughout the day. I keep it on me."
"Makeup Forever has promoted these as Universal pencils that you can use for any part of your makeup routine. When I got to try more of their shades, I realized these really are just fantastic pencils. It's not just that we loved one shade, it's that all of the shades are beautiful and serve really great purposes. They're smooth the way that they go on, they last long, they're pigmented. There's just something about these pencils, they're just done really really well. One of the shades I find myself using a lot is Universal Earth. It looks like it's going to be a really dark brown, but it actually has a lot of reddish undertones to it. It looks beautiful on your eyes, it looks beautiful on your lips, it enhances any lip gloss that you're going to wear. One tip: if you are going to use these on your eyes, they blend really really well, meaning they smudge really easily. I have not used them on their own. Whenever I use pencil eyeliner, I almost always set my eyeliner with eyeshadow. I just take an eyeshadow brush and blend it out, smooth it."
"I love to use a hypochlorous acid spray. I've been using hypochlorous acid on my skin for years. If I have breakouts, if I have any redness, if I have any kind of perioral dermatitis, I always have the Tower 28 SOS Daily Rescue Facial Spray mini on me just because it's great to travel with. I spray it on my skin, and before I put anything else on, especially actives, I let this dry down, because you're essentially putting bleach on your skin and it can make any of your other actives inactive. You just want to let this dry down. It is not a hydrating spray toner."

My Updated Skincare Routine for Melasma & Dark Spots
"This is just a hypochlorous acid spray, and there's a reason for it, it is great for anybody who has skin irritation. For me with my perioral dermatitis, but also because of my melasma, I have noticed that anytime I get really red, if I'm irritated, if I've spent too much time at the gym, if I was out in the sun, if I got really hot, I will keep a bottle of this. I also have the Tower 28 one that's like a travel size that I throw in my bag too. I especially love it because I don't get breakouts, and if you're going to use any antioxidants or a retinoid and some AHA and stuff, then you want to let it dry down before you go in with some of your other products just because it could cancel it out. It's essentially like spraying bleach on your skin, so just keep that in mind. But I think this is just such a great type of product to have in your routine and in your bag, it's like a catchall for so many different skin issues. If you're dealing with any redness like I do, that redness can lead to more melasma or hyperpigmentation, so it's just so nice to have because then you don't have to deal with that."
Life Update: Am I Getting Divorced?
"It's from Tower 28, it's the SOS Daily Rescue Facial Spray. This is hypochlorous acid spray. I love it. I talk about it all the time. I do love that this one's travel size and I just want it specifically on that area. Hypochlorous acid when you spray it onto your skin it's essentially like spraying bleach on your skin but skin safe bleach, and so you don't want to put any of your other ingredients on it."
"I'll use like a Rhode Glazing Milk or Bioma has a beautiful one. Dr. Loretta has one. Like everybody has these beautiful essences because I think we did the right thing by taking on some of these K beauty steps because essences are beautiful. I prefer an essence over a hydrating serum any day because I just find that you have to dampen your face before a hydrating serum perhaps just put it together."
"The Dr. G R.E.D Blemish Kombucha Tea Essence is one of my holy grails I've been using this for years and recommending it for years. It has really nice antioxidants in it, it has that kombucha tea extract, it also has green tea in it, but because it has this fermentation it also has probiotics for your skin. Probiotics are really great to help with dry skin, if you have dry skin it can help to really nourish and hydrate, and that's especially what I like about this product. It's also just a fun product to use. It's a base essence, meaning you'll see two different layers in the bottle, and you shake it up and then you pour it onto your hands and you pat it onto your skin, and it just makes your skin feel so juicy and hydrated. It's a wonderful product. I love it so much."
"This is like holy grail status for me. It's the Dr. Ceuracle Vegan Kombucha Tea Essence. It's a bi-phase formula, meaning it has two different phases in the formula. It has soothing ingredients like chamomile and anise in it. The texture is really nice and soothing. It is a toner for your skin or like an essence, but it also slightly just very slightly moisturizes your skin. I like to put this on right before I do an LED mask because I can't just go from cleansing my skin and letting it dry out to using an LED mask, but I do like to use my toners first."
"This is from Dr Jart+, it's the Vegan Kombucha Tea Essence. You know I love this stuff. I just find that this gives my skin the most hydration of any essence I have ever used. This one is holy grail status for me. I use this all the time and I find myself always going back to it."
"Mario Badescu toner, it's a staple, it's a classic, it's been in people's routines for a very long time. If you are hydrating your skin with a toning mist like that and then you're quickly going in with your next skincare products, there is benefit to that, hydrating your skin, making sure that you're putting on products to lock all that hydration in. It can be as simple as just some rose water."
"SK-II is so expensive, it's so amazing, but it's so expensive. The SK-II essence is a nice product. It is expensive, but there's no doubt that it definitely makes your skin look clearer and it feels more nourished. It's one of the OG's and it really has helped a lot of people with their skin. Can you get something a little bit cheaper for sure? Something that's just as effective? Absolutely. An SK-II bottle lasts me forever, so yes it's expensive, but I think it's more worth it than some other products."
"Sculptra is so hot right now. She's an oldie, okay? She's been around for decades. It's a wonderful bio stimulator, collagen builder. It used to be reconstituted with 5 cc's of bacteria saline or sterile water and now it's almost like a hybrid dilute version with 9 cc's reconstitution, which got FDA cleared back in 2023. It's a nice beautiful light wash of it. We're not worried about all of these clumpy overprepared nodules of too much collagen in a certain space because you're diluting it more."
"I see a lot of patients that come to me for liposuction procedures and it's like, 'Yeah, I tried this, I tried that, but I didn't get the results I was looking for.' I'm assuming people have tried things like CoolSculpting and all that stuff too and then they come to you and they're just really unhappy."
"I also use a bunch of Botox just because it is safe, it's trusted, everyone knows the name, and it's predictable. With the neurotoxin taking 2 to 3 weeks to settle in, there's a two to 3 week gray area of things that could happen to any given patient at any given time. During those two to 3 weeks, you might experience some asymmetries just because the Botox takes to certain muscles better than others. Don't freak out. It is normal. We can touch that up in two to three weeks."
"Whenever I am talking to people and they're new to cosmetic treatments I almost always say just get Botox, like just even some Botox on your crow's feet and you'll be so happy as your first treatment. Botox is magic, it's the most amazing drug ever. Botox is more of a neurotoxin and it treats heavy wrinkles, but it doesn't treat the health of your skin the way other treatments do."

Can Botox Prevent Wrinkles? Dermatologist Explains!
"Preventative for sure. So I always say there's no better line than the one you could prevent right, the one that you're never going to get. So if we starting earlier on it makes a lot of sense. However you can't take anything to an extreme. I don't expect an 18 or 20 year old to start doing Botox unless you make a very strong expression with your glabella lines, your anger 11s, and we could already see that even when that person is at rest not making the expression you could start see these subtle lines that even stay. And I always say that will be your actual cue maybe it's time for me to start considering toxin regardless of your age. And everybody's genetics, skin thickness, you know, some lines may show sooner than others so that's why there's so much variability in at what age. I don't like to define it so much by a number but it's totally preventative overall. The earlier you start the less lines of expression you're going to have later on when you're in your late 40s, 50s, and obviously 60s. But one thing I do like to point out to people is yes preventative but when you're 50 you're not going to suddenly be like you know what I don't need to do Botox anymore."

So the result cannot be expected to be the same as for someone that's doing it for pure preventative reasons. If you have a line there and that line doesn't fully disappear even when you're stretching out your skin with your fingers, then that means probably Botox is not going to be able to achieve that. It's having realistic ideas of what any cosmetic treatment can do."

"Baby Botox is essentially just using less, so it wears off sooner. We're using smaller doses, so therefore you're going to see that your movement will be back to baseline sooner than even 3 months. But if they're using it early on for prevention, not because they're really bothered by some of these lines but just wanting to prevent it, it's totally fine that they wait three, four, even a little bit longer."

"BOTOX for example or toxin will prevent lines from getting deeper. You'll not decrease collagen production or at least it prevent collagen degradation. At sunscreen and retinoid are just going to turn your skin over, it's going to look shinier, it's going to look brighter and it's going to naturally replace some of the issues that we have."

"I will say have you ever thought about a sprinkle Botox because it just opens everything up it gives you that like well rested appearance without actually being well rested and in my experience it's kind of like an easy entry in addition to your skin care that you can add on that is going to make a difference and just make you feel like yourself a little bit again. If it's done correctly and Botox is one of the easier procedures now, there's some nuance that right, not everyone's muscles are the same, you really have to take an artful approach, but for most people if it's done well you're still going to look like yourself, you're just going to be refreshed. It's not filler, it's not going to change the shape of your face, it's simply smoothing out some muscle movement."

"I want you to start using a setting spray. This is one of my favorite ones. It's from Charlotte Tilbury. I have a few favorites. I love the one from Milk Makeup too, but they're sold out of it. You're going to use this every day. When you do makeup, just spray your face first with this before you start your makeup. Apply your makeup. Before you put your concealer on, I want you to spray your face again. And then after you put your face powder on, I want you to spray your face to lock it all in."
"This is the Hollywood Flawless Filter. There's been so many dupes of this one, but it's just great on those high points, just in small high points. Not everywhere, but just a little bit because it not only gives glow, which we love, but it actually blurs and smooths the skin a little bit. So I use it on these little areas and you don't have to put it on the whole face, just the high points. I like to use quite minimal of it. When you're going to a big glam event, there's flash photography, there might be heaps of people in the room, meaning you might get a bit flustered. You know, warm environment. Sometimes you don't want to overglow your skin. So just very minimal, really small concentrated dots of glow is actually enough. Don't overglow your face."

"If somebody says to me if you could choose one retinoid, I would choose the Medik8 Crystal Retinal 24 because it's not quite the strongest on the market."
"We don't want to be using retinoids, that's really like an abundance of caution because we know the really high strength, the oral forms can cause issues, and then we just kind of trickle that down to even retinol. I know people who use retinol in pregnancy, I didn't because I'm a worrier and to me it's like it's not worth it. So we recommend no retinol in pregnancy."
"Once you're breastfeeding, the baby's here, we don't have to worry about that anymore as long as you're not applying it directly to a place that the baby's going, yes, like your nipples, it's fine. So you can add back in your retinoid."
"I think this is innovative because I haven't seen 0.2% right now on the market yet. I do think this is really innovative because it is not irritating at all and I really like how gentle it is even though it is very strong in terms of efficacy but it doesn't feel irritating on the skin and it's a nice milky formula. What I like about this is some retinal serums that I've tried don't feel hydrating, it just kind of feels very waxy sometimes, and then this one doesn't feel super waxy it feels hydrating and moisturizing at the same time. I'm really excited that one, they made it affordable, it's a high percentage retinal, it's hydrating feeling and even for me with my sensitive skin because I'm just sensitive to really high percentage retinoids, I'm not going to use it every night but I felt like I could use it once or twice a week and it really did not irritate my skin at all which is impressive because some retinoids can actually irritate my skin after one use and this one didn't do that. I've also gotten retinoid irritation before and this one doesn't do that so that's nice. My only thing is it's so tiny, but I think it's like $14 which I love that The Ordinary makes it super affordable."

"I find that I can use this a couple times a week and my skin is fine and then the rest of the days I supplement with something a little less strong. It has been really easy to add into my skincare routine. My only note, if there's any critique, is that it's kind of small, it's only 0.5 fluid ounces, but you're not going to use a lot. You saw how far just that one pump went, and it works really well. Hats off to The Ordinary for going for 0.2% retinol and making it more affordable."
"My all-time favorite for the face is the Narium Retinol Complex Cream with encapsulated retinol, really nice emollient in it. This is my one-and-only retinoid when I am so tired. I double cleanse my face, put this on, and I go to bed. That's why I love it, it's amazing. I wake up with glowy skin every single time, and it's great for any skin type. You don't have to be a pro at retinoids. It can be your first time using a retinoid and that one's great. I've gone through a couple of these, and I really back it up to very gentle retinoids because my skin is really sensitive to retinoids."
"Start prioritizing prevention. Tinted sunscreen every day, wear your vitamin C. We know that there are some things that can happen in pregnancy like melasma and unfortunately once that happens it's like a lifelong battle. It happens to so many of us, it's so common. So don't stress out, but the more we can prevent some of these issues the better."
"It doesn't matter if it's Banana Boat or luxury kinds, just put sunscreen on. Chemical filters, mineral filters, just wear your sunscreen whatever is going to make you wear it, use that. I can always tell when somebody uses their sunscreen and has been doing so diligently because they come in with beautiful looking skin every single time. They're not as concerned about the other things because their skin has just been protected. Glowing skin, it always glows when they use sunscreen. Less pigmentation, less deeper lines. Your collagen is just being preserved at such a higher rate than if you're not using sunscreen."
"This is my favorite sunscreen, the Ilia C Beyond Triple Serum SPF 40. It's very oil-based, which I love. It's a mineral sunscreen with SPF 40, it has a slight tint to it, and it has some vitamin C in it. It's really nice, like an all-in-one, encapsulating kind of serum and sunscreen combo. It's water-free, so I was imagining it would have a heavy texture, but it's actually lighter and pretty watery."

"It's my favorite sunscreen. It's very oil-based which I love, and it's nice getting it on your neck and your chest. It's a mineral sunscreen, SPF 40, it has a slight tint to it, it has some vitamin C in it. It's really nice, like an all-in-one, encapsulating kind of thing, a serum and sunscreen combo. Even though it's water-free so you'd imagine it has a heavy texture, it's actually lighter. They've got shea butter in there that gives it a very light texture, and one of the first ingredients is a blurring, almost oil-absorbing polymer, so I'm imagining that's why it feels light."
"When you use a proper amount of it, it's so close you're so metallic looking like you look like tin man. She looks pretty beautiful natural and just a little glowy, so I'm gonna say maybe she didn't use enough of it but it's a start."
"This is an organic filter sunscreen with chemical filters: avobenzone, homosalate, and octinoxate. This is an SPF 50 sunscreen with a PA++++ rating, which is the highest rating you can get, that was really important to me because it's truly a broad spectrum sunscreen. You also get 40 minutes of water resistance, and it gives you a soft matte natural finish to your skin. With organic filters, they're easier to formulate with so we get this elegant kind of formula, and the texture is so beautiful. Depending on how you formulate it, you can also use it on all skin tones so you don't have to worry about a chalky, cakey look to your skin. When it comes to actual protection of your skin, we were able to do so much more for this formulation using chemical filters."

"You should always shake this up, it's a super liquidy texture, it's very silky. I wanted this to feel like a natural part of your skincare routine so it has that skincare serum feel to it. When you apply it, it feels super hydrating. Just trust the process because it does dry down to a soft matte finish, you just have to give it about 30 seconds, maybe a minute, and you will love the finish. Glowy but not dewy, just very natural. It wears beautifully under makeup. I actually think it works as a really great primer under makeup too. It makes your skin so velvety and beautiful that your makeup lays really great over it. This is a really special sunscreen. It does so much more for your skin than your average sunscreen. It's like an anti-aging serum that's a sunscreen."

"This is a really special sunscreen I'm really proud of it because I feel like we're really proving that here in the US we can create sunscreens that have beautiful formulations that provide the highest protection for your skin and again not just against sunburns you are protecting your skin also for vanity reasons you want to make sure that you just you look your best right this is one of the reasons why we wear our sunscreen and that is what you get with this sunscreen it is so beautiful it's like an anti-aging serum that's a sunscreen it really is."
"I go through one tube at least a month. I love retinoids, I love a retinoid, and Retinol for your body I mean I think that only makes sense if you're going to be using a retinoid and preaching to use a retinoid, which is like that gold standard ingredient for not just anti-aging but also for just any skin issue that you might be dealing with. I feel like a retinoid is great for that, so why wouldn't you use it on your body? This lotion is fragrance free, it feels super nice, it's creamy, it's nourishing, it's not greasy but it feels like it gives you that perfect amount of moisture while also giving you that really beautiful smooth skin that you want from a retinoid. This has encapsulated retinol in here, meaning that it's going to help keep the retinol more stable, it's going to penetrate your skin better, you'll have less chances of irritation. It doesn't remove the chances of irritation but it does give you more even slower penetration from the ingredients, so if you tend to have sensitive skin or you're new to retinoid, this is a good one to introduce. It also has shea butter in here and sodium PCA."
"One of my favorite brushes is the N16. It's probably my favorite of the whole collection if I have to choose one. The way that it's made, it really just helps to blend under your eyes, not just to even set your under eye makeup but to help smooth it, even if you're touching up later on in the day. They are high quality, they are handmade, they're also hand cut. They are such good quality makeup brushes and I am guaranteeing these are going to be a great makeup brush investment for you."
"I use the Zip Halo in the morning time to get a lifted, glowing look to my skin. I feel like people really don't take advantage of using their microcurrent or in this case a microcurrent and nanocurrent device to really give themselves a lifted look. People really save it for their nighttime routine and I get it, you want to have that time to really spend on it. But this is so simple and easy to use and I feel like you sometimes get the best benefit when you do it before you're about to start your day."

"Acne gel, throughout the day sometimes you know certain little pimples pop up and I want to make sure I take care of it, so it's important to do it at night. We only need a little drop of this, and so I normally have little areas of concern around my beard or maybe on my forehead, and so I make sure that the night before that I put a little acne gel on it. It's very, very important for me. It's something that's very important before bed. I would assume that salicylic acid might be a little too harsh to use on a regular basis, so it makes a lot of sense to use this acne gel more as a spot treatment. You don't have to use it as a spot treatment, but it makes sense to use it in places where you do get a pimple or along your beard because salicylic acid is really great to unclog your pores but also it helps when you have any kind of ingrown hairs."
"This microfiber hair towel is made by a chemist who is also a researcher, a medical researcher. They're super super absorbent because it's really important to get the water out of your hair as quickly as possible to maintain the health of your hair. She also made it so people with super long or thick hair like mine can also use this towel. It has two elastic bands, so you can choose which one feels the most comfortable for you when you wrap this towel up and put it on top of your head. If I don't have a super absorbent towel like this, my hair will take forever to dry, like forever. I buy a few of them and keep them in my house, and I travel with one of these towels because it just makes my life so much easier. I highly recommend this as a gift. If you know somebody who has really thick hair, especially or long hair, and it takes forever to dry and they really care about the health of their hair, this is a great gift."
"Crown Affair for hair, I don't think there a day goes by that I don't use a Crown Affair product. The leave-in conditioner is like a moisturizer for my hair. I use it every day. My hair has also gotten drier as I've gotten older and I color treat it, so the leave-in conditioner is amazing for that."

"For acne, the FDA approved acne treatment is tretinoin, which is prescription strength. If you are dealing with true, true acne that is hard to deal with, then you're probably going to see tretinoin pop up in your future."
"I've done like an essence, like a hydrating essence from Charlotte Tilbury, the glow toner. It's got nice cinnamite in there as well. So, it helps the pores. And I'll use a magic serum, a magic cream from Charlotte. So, I'm going to be glowing and fresh, ready for foundation. I quite like the Charlotte Tilbury range because it's made especially to go under foundations and things like that. So, I find it works better."
"This is their snail mucin eye cream. First off, it's this really pretty blue color, but I love that it feels nice and soothing and cooling because of this tip that it has on there. And it also has these really great plumping ingredients. One of those ingredients is volupalene, which is one of those ingredients that you see floating around a lot online because it's supposed to mimic a filler. No topical will ever mimic something that can be injected, but it just means that it's very plumping and hydrating to the skin, and it's supposed to be a great ingredient for this. And this also has caffeine in it, which I think is always an incredible ingredient for under the eyes. And it has some brightening ingredients, too. But caffeine's great because it helps to just tighten up that area underneath your eyes."
"Remedy for dandruff, I mean it's either out or it's not. We'll see. This is actually the coolest product we worked on. We worked on this for a really long time and we could not find a lab that would make it for us but we finally got it."
"I'm actually wearing Dazzle Dry right now and this has been 2 weeks since I did this and it truly truly lasts forever. It looks pretty good like gel. You can see the tips of my nails, they look a little bit, I mean you can see the growth also around my cuticle but it lasts forever and it really does dry so quickly and that's what makes it stand out to me is that it dries so quickly. It's kind of like a system. I like these mini kits because I kind of like trying out different colors. I also can travel with it and that's where it really comes in handy for me because I'm always inevitably having to change my nail polish or fix my nails right before an event or while I'm traveling or right before a video shoot something like that. I need it to be fast so I can just do it and then not worry about it. I can go to my event really quickly. I can get dressed really quickly. That's what I like about Dazzle Dry."

My Favorite Beauty & Health Supplements! Vital Proteins, Ritual, Cymbiotika, & More | Susan Yara
"My favorite is truly just the regular collagen peptides that don't have any flavor. It's just so easy to use. I almost put it in everything if it's something blended. It's a guarantee that I'm going to put my collagen peptides in it because I see benefits from it and I enjoy using it. Because it's unflavored it doesn't mess with the flavor profile of whatever it is I'm making, whether it's a smoothie or oatmeal or anything. I put it in almost anything that it can be in and it's so easy to use. I get my vitamin C intake, some hyaluronic acid that taken orally has been shown to help with skin hydration. I can definitely see a difference and more importantly I love collagen peptides. I know that there are a lack of studies out there that show they can really do a lot, but I think more studies are starting to happen. When you just talk to people who use collagen peptides, myself included, we see a difference. We see a difference in our hair, we see a difference in our skin, we see a difference in our nails. I take my collagen peptides at least a few times a week and my nails are so strong."

"I actually really like Vital Proteins. I love collagen. I love that there's more studies coming out that show that it does actually help to improve your skin. The interesting thing is that hydrolyzed collagen, when you drink it, it kind of acts as a messenger molecule. It's not going straight to your skin and replacing it, but it's triggering potentially the synthesis of more collagen. I take the Vital Proteins collagen powder too, and what I've noticed is I have issues with my shoulder and cartilage, and that's actually why I started taking it. I was constantly sore from working out, and I noticed the difference with the collagen powder. I don't know about this specific peptide they're using enough to where I think it could be helpful."
