The Clinique Take The Day Off Cleansing Balm is my favorite and it is 30% off in both sizes. It is the best cleansing balm hands down for removing your makeup. I use it as the first cleanse of my double cleanse and have used it for years. Holy grail product, I love it.
My two favorite sunscreens of all time after testing 250 different sunscreens are the Healthy Skin Labs Protect SPF 50 and the DRMTLGY Physical Tinted Moisturizer SPF 44. They are tinted, truly all mineral sunscreens. They're thicker and a little bit heavier feeling going on and they do have a shinier finish, so they do need something over them. I either have to set them with powder or put foundation on over them. But when I want my foundation to look its best and when I'm really looking for a sunscreen to wear with foundation, this is one that I go to. I highly recommend it.
It is the NuFACE Mini Plus, and it is one of my all-time favorite anti-aging at-home devices because it really works and I see the results right away. The results are more temporary than other things, but the immediate difference that I see in the tightness and the firmness of my skin, and also the little lift that I get for my hooded eyes and for my cheeks, it is always amazing to me when I see it right in front of my eyes in the mirror. It comes with a small bottle of the conducting gel, a small bottle of the conducting serum, and a brush to put it on with, and it retails for 165.
This is their Invisible Mineral Sunscreen SPF 50. This uses a new type of zinc oxide that is more sheer on the skin. So this isn't tinted on me. It gives the tiniest white cast that really I don't have to put any makeup on over it. Of course if you have darker skin tone than me it's going to give you a little bit of white cast but is the best as far as not giving a white cast of any mineral sunscreen that's white that I've tried so far. And I really like this one because like all CeraVe products it's got the ceramides in it and the ceramide helper. It's got hyaluronic acid.
I was using Rogaine, also known as minoxidil, a topical hair growth serum, in combination with the laser band, because research showed the combination worked better than either one alone. I never really loved using it, and I never really used it consistently because it makes your hair look and feel so dirty, and anything that makes my hair look and feel dirty, I'm just not into it. So I actually stopped using it over the last year.
I tried the new concealer from Charlotte Tilbury. This was a real fail. This just magnified my eye creases, made my under eyes feel so dry. Did not like this one bit.
Having used it three times, I'm not sure that I'm really seeing that big of a difference in my skin. And I know 100% for sure that I didn't enjoy using it. Did not enjoy the serum. There's so much left. I'm not sure you really get that much delivered into your skin. This set was something like $179 for the six treatments. As far as not being able to use your regular skin care for a few days before, a few days after, didn't really love that. Don't love the feel of their serum. I don't enjoy poking my face with the holes, micro needling. It does hurt a bit. It hurts the most on the forehead and around the eyes.
I love the packaging. It is so adorable, and I thought it was going to be like the most hydrating, the most nourishing lip balm. Oh boy. It is just not. Sadly, there just wasn't much that I liked about this. Putting it on, it just goes on like so thick and weird on the lips. I just didn't enjoy it. I didn't feel like it gave me any kind of hydration. I felt like it actually dried out my lips by the time it was off. My lips were so dry and I was running for my regular lip hydrator.

Some of the pencils, the product is so hard that it's really hard to get it on. And of course it has a spoolie on the other end for blending it out. I really really really like this."

It is the I Need a Nude Palette, and if you're into nude eyeshadows, oh my gosh, this is the most beautiful palette because it's not just a cool palette or just a warm palette. "Hands down my favorite eyeshadow palette of 2023 was the Natasha Denona I Need a Nude Palette. Look at her, she is a stunner, look at those shades. I am not one for heavy dark smoky eyeshadow, I'm more of a less is more where eyeshadow is concerned, I don't like a lot of color on my eyelids, but I like my eyeshadow to do its job, which is to make my eyes look uplifted, to make my hoods look like they're not laying on my eyelashes, and to give me a little bit of added sparkle, add some depth there. And this does that without making my eyeshadow look heavy and bad, kind of costume theatrical makeup. The shades in this are so muted and so beautiful that you just can't go wrong with it. There's only one dark shade in the whole palette and it isn't even that dark, but you can smoke it out if you want. There are a lot of shimmers, they're so pretty, look at the shimmer, look at the sheen on those, I just love them so much. And the mattes though is really where this palette shines, it's got the light matte, it's got the two light neutral mattes."
"For a bottom mascara I like to do a little bit of a brown mascara. This one's from L'Oreal, it's a Waterproof Mascara, crucial if you're going to apply mascara on the bottom lash line. Don't put a regular formula on a special occasion. It's a really dark rich brown. Throughout the makeup application it's easy to get a little bit of makeup underneath the lashes because we look down and concealer hits it and they end up looking kind of dusty. This is a great way to kind of revamp them, bring them back to life, darken them a touch too."

It's a Makeup by Mario palette, this new limited edition palette called the Ethereal Eyes Moonlight Palette, and it is so beautiful. "This is an SPF 30 and this one I would compare to the SRA V sunscreen but the advantage to this one over say the SRA ve is that this one comes in four shades. It stayed pretty shiny on my skin, it stayed pretty oily feeling on my skin, pretty wet and damp, didn't really dry back 100% on me. But I think this is formulated more like the SRA with drier skin people in mind. This is going to be very hydrating if you have dry skin, it's going to sink right in and it's going to be perfect on you. Even though this is an SPF 30, I feel like it's giving such good sun protection and especially such good UVA protection because this one has 21.6% zinc oxide and then it's also got 3.2% titanium dioxide. This is 80 minutes water resistant. It's really easy to reapply. It didn't make the makeup settle into my wrinkles and it didn't make it slide around. It did shorten the wear of makeup on me by a couple of hours."

It does have a greasy feel on the skin and it doesn't really dry and set back, it has a really super shiny finish, which normally those two things combined would be the kiss of death for me with sunscreen. But I gotta say I love this one because of how makeup went on over it. It really was great under makeup. The shine did come through and I did look shinier and shinier throughout the day, but under normal circumstances where I can reduce the shine during the day, this is really great under makeup. It didn't settle in my wrinkles, it didn't wear off super fast, and it was a great one. It is an SPF 30, though, and you know I prefer an SPF 50."

"The last thing in skincare is the DRMTLGY Luminous Eye Corrector SPF 41. This comes in four shades. I actually tried the lighter shade in the vlog video. I felt like this looked great just on top of my sunscreen. When I added my concealer on top of it, I felt like it did start to look a little bit heavy, so instead of putting my concealer on top, I've just been wearing this as my concealer, and I love it. I haven't worn concealer at all this week. I just put this on under my eyes and it's giving me that extra sunscreen protection where we really need it, because who doesn't see the signs of aging first under their eyes. Part of the reason we see the signs of aging first there is people neglect that area when they're putting on their sunscreen, and this is a dedicated sunscreen just for that area that doubles as your under eye concealer. I think it's just brilliant. This is 12% zinc oxide and 10% titanium dioxide, and this is in the shade medium. It does have a fairly luminous finish, so I just put my regular setting powder over it. It's not settling into my wrinkles, it's not accentuating anything, and it looks really smooth and really nice. I just love it as my under eye concealer."

"I tried a new sunscreen that was this Numbuzin No.1 Clear Filter Sun Essence. It's an SPF 50 with a PA+++ rating, it's a Korean sunscreen and uses all the Asian European filters and it's got all the same sunscreen ingredients as my Haru Haru Airy Fit Black Rice that I love so much. But it does have like a slight minty green cast to it and it does have some skin soothing ingredients, so I think it's meant to be kind of like an anti-redness, skin soothing sunscreen. But it also includes niacinamide, which if you're also getting a lot of niacinamide in your skincare from other places, it might be over the top, too much niacinamide. I didn't find this irritating, I didn't find it particularly soothing, I didn't think that the green cast really did anything to hide any redness in my skin. For me it was just okay and I did find it slightly drying by the end of the day. I thought it was okay but have not been reaching for it on a regular basis."

"This is the reformulated version of one of my all-time favorite sunscreens. It is still pretty good. I find that the color match on this is just not great for me anymore, so I don't use it as much as I used to. But this is an awesome sunscreen. This is a tinted mineral sunscreen. It just rubs in really easily. It's not heavy. It's not super greasy, feels really nice on the skin. It's got antioxidants in it, so it helps to fight those free radicals that are caused by sun exposure."

"Second runner up in this year's video was a reformulation of one of my longtime favorites. This is EltaMD UV AOX Elements, so this is a reformulation from UV Elements, which was an SPF 44. This newer version with the reformulation is an SPF 50. The tint on this one is a little bit darker than it used to be and a little bit warmer, so if I put on a sunless tan it matches pretty well. This one is actually a little better than the old formula as far as how it wears under makeup. So if you are a little warmer skin tone, a little bit darker than me, this could be the perfect sunscreen for you and it could be like your Holy Grail, because it does work really well under makeup and better than the original."
"The new version does not mention being water resistant at all, so it's not a good choice to wear to the beach, where the old formula was always one of my go-tos. The good news is that it feels, looks, and acts very much like the original formula. It feels very lightweight on the skin, doesn't feel super greasy, and leaves a nice glowy, dewy finish. The new version actually wore under makeup better than the old version for me, because the old one always shortened the wear time of my foundation. With this one, my foundation lasted a good eight hours solid with no wearing off and no settling into wrinkles. I really like it a lot. The main reason I'm not super happy with it is that the butyloctyl salicylate tends to irritate my skin. I can't really use sunscreens with butyl salicylate on my neck, and depending on how much is in a formula, it sometimes irritates my eyelids and makes the rest of my skin sting. With this sunscreen, I don't think it's super high on the ingredient list (some sunscreens have it as the second ingredient after water), but this one hasn't irritated my eyelids or my face. I haven't used it on my neck yet. Overall, this is pretty good, and if you're switching over from the old version, you could be perfectly happy with the new one."

"Another product I talked about in my skincare video was the DRMTLGY Needleless Growth Factor Serum. This is a really great multitasking serum that I usually use in the summer when it's hot and humid and I don't feel like putting on a lot of heavy layers of moisturizer, and this has everything that is usually in two or three of my moisturizers all combined into one bottle, which is awesome. So it's got ceramides, it's got niacinamide, it's got a couple of peptides in it. This also contains a copper peptide, and a lot of people had written in and said you can't use copper peptides with vitamin C because I do put this on in my morning routine near my vitamin C. I don't think there's any problem with it, I don't think they're going to interact in a way that is problematic. I actually did a whole video on if you could use copper peptides with your vitamin C serum and I did a lot of research into it, and I don't think the conditions exist on our face for there to be a hugely bad reaction. This is not the kind of copper peptide that would interact with your vitamin C anyway, because this is not the blue kind of copper peptide, that's really the only one you need to worry about. This one is perfectly clear, as you can see, so no worries with this and your vitamin C serum."

Even though DRMTLGY says that their Needleless Serum can be used with anything, anywhere in your skincare routine, if you look at their product FAQs there's one about vitamin C and the Needleless Serum, and they say the one vitamin C serum that should be used at a separate time than the Needleless Serum is ascorbic acid, which is found in their Vitamin C E and F. So they don't recommend using it with ascorbic acid. I used it, it didn't seem to interact with anything in my skincare routine. I think I kept pushing it around, I used it sometimes in the morning, sometimes in the evening."

The Prequel vitamin C is much more of a watery liquid, will run through your fingers but you just squeeze them together tight. It does absorb really really quickly and this doesn't really leave any kind of a tack or stickiness on the surface of your skin so it rubs right in."

"This vitamin C serum does have 15% L-ascorbic acid at a pH of 3.2, so it's formulated pretty similar to the standard vitamin C serums that I love with the low pH. It also does contain ferulic acid which is one of the helper antioxidants. The look and feel and consistency of this vitamin C serum is really beautiful, it comes out crystal clear and all you need is a few drops to treat your whole face. The feel of it is slightly thicker than, say, the Timeless vitamin C serum. It's not going to run all over the place. This one does have a little bit longer of a rub-in and it does have a slightly grippy finish at the end, which I don't mind because once I've rubbed in my neck it kind of goes away. I like the finish on it, it's not overly shiny and overly dewy. What makes this product more stable than your standard vitamin C serum is really the packaging. It seems like there's something that is blocking air from getting into the tube, which is why they include this little part here called the beam, which is almost like a toothpaste tube squeezer to help you get the serum out. Poems from the Lab makes this in small batches, so you're getting a fresh product that will last for the full 8 months."

It looks kind of cakey and very modeled on the surface, very cracked, sliding around. It's definitely settled in wrinkles. I don't love this. It's doing all the things that I really don't love in a foundation. There are better foundations from the drugstore that don't get shiny six or seven hours in. The primer sure didn't help it, everywhere that I put on the primer it looks twice as bad as it does on the non-primer side. I had powdered it with a powder that made everything look a little bit cakey and not great, and it didn't keep the shine from the makeup from coming through. For me, this is kind of a miss."

Even though the balls are roughly spaced the same on both devices, I can't get it right in certain areas because there's this big hunk of plastic on the end that keeps it from getting close to my nose or the inner corner of my eye. There are some surfactants in here which normally I like a face wash with no surfactants, I don't like anything that foams or strips my skin, but the idea behind this one is that they put in 50% glycerin and glycerin is one of the workhorses of our skincare routine. It's in everything, it's humectant, it keeps the surfactants that are in here from stripping your skin so it keeps your skin more hydrated while it does its work of cleaning your skin. My only complaint about this is that it takes a little bit longer to rinse this away than some of the other cleansers that I'm used to for my second cleanse. I just wish that it rinsed a little bit quicker from the skin, but other than that no complaints about it."

This is about on par with all the other cleansing balms that I've tried that are almost as good as the Clinique, but just not quite, but it is definitely a lot less money. I like the packaging on this too, it's got this little flip top so it's just easy to use and it comes with a little scooper which I really appreciate. I'm about 3/4 done with this and I have been using this consistently every night. I'm definitely going to use it all up, it's not the kind of thing where I try it and hate it and never use it again. The thing I like the most about this is that the tan seems to last a lot longer with this because it is like moisturizing my skin, where a lot of the mousses will have some SD alcohol in them and they could be a little bit more drying. This really moisturizes my skin and I feel like that helps it to just stay longer in the skin. This also has really great ingredients: it's got aloe leaf juice, it's got shea butter, coconut oil, glycerin, green tea leaf extract. This is organic and cruelty-free and it's just been a really great change."

"The newest body lotion to my body lotion arsenal is a retinol body lotion from Gold Bond, the age renew retinol overnight body and face lotion. You can use this on your face, though I don't because I use a prescription retinoid on my face. It is a really good body lotion and I like it a lot. The price point is really great. It's a really thick cream, really hydrating, really emollient. Comparing the ingredient lists, the retinol is probably in them in about the same amount based on where it is on the ingredient list, much less than one percent because that's just how it is with retinols. But I gotta say I like the ingredient list on the Gold Bond a little bit better because the Gold Bond has niacinamide, shea butter, and squalane. The Gold Bond also has urea and a peptide in it, so this one is just more packed full of skin loving goodness. This one I'd say is just a little bit heavier, a little bit more emollient."

And this is a very creamy, very hydrating cream. So, you just need the tiniest tiniest amount of this for your eye area. So, this will last a good long time. These tubes are supposed to last for about 3 months. and I find that they last 3 months if not longer."
