Sincerely Miss Ash has reviewed more than 10 haircare products and approves almost all of them, with an approval rate of 86%. She tests things the way a real person does, using them over months and watching exactly how they behave on her fine, blonde hair. That makes her takes unusually practical.
What does Sincerely Miss Ash recommend in haircare?
What she keeps coming back to is products that repair and protect without weighing hair down. She has used K18 Heat Bounce Conditioning Heat Protectant long enough to go through multiple bottles, praising how it leaves hair soft, smooth, and shiny while protecting it from heat up to 450 degrees Fahrenheit. She called K18 Leave-In Molecular Repair Hair Mask a must in her routine, and says she uses it more often in the days before and after a colour appointment to strengthen and repair highlighted hair. She also rates K18 Peptide Prep pH Maintenance Shampoo as one of the best shampoos around, saying it cleanses without stripping and gives hair a nice shine, and that it is gentle enough for daily use. Her named winner is the K18 Peptide Prep pH Maintenance Shampoo.
In her words
"This is the leave-in conditioner and heat protectant I've been raving about for a while, it launched late summer or early fall last year and I've used it ever since. I just finished it three weeks ago and pulled out a new one, [...] and I wash my hair two to three times a week, [...] so it lasted a very long time. It [...] really conditions the hair, leaving it super soft, smooth, and shiny, and it tames down frizz while protecting hair from heat styling up to 450 degrees Fahrenheit."
"This is one of the best from the drugstore. I really like this shampoo, it does a really good job to cleanse without stripping your hair. Your hair doesn't feel like straw, it's not all matted when you hop out of the shower. It does a really good job and I also find that it gives that nice shine to the hair as well. This is the one that you can use pretty much every single day."
"This is a must in my hair care routine. It really helps to strengthen and repair the bonds of your hair. Because I'm blonde, I feel like this is a must for me personally. [...] If my hair appointment is coming up, I will use this about two times before my hair appointment just to strengthen my hair. And then post hair appointment, I will use this six hair washes post hair treatment to really strengthen and repair my hair from getting my hair highlighted."
"This one is more fragranced, and I really like this one as well. I do like to switch up my leave-in conditioners and heat protectants, and I do use this one quite a bit. I have been using this one the longest. It really has improved my hair as well, but this one really is my obsession at the moment, and I can't get enough."
"There's no lactic acid in here. So this is great for discoloration again for preventing irritation and ingrown hairs. And you can use this on the backs of your arms if you want to if you have those bumps there too. It's honestly amazing and it's so quick and easy to use. And this is another product that I will use at night time. Sometimes I will in the morning if I'm not really going to be exposing much skin to the sun, but I try to keep these types of products at night."
"Your makeup just looks and applies so much better when you remove that peach fuzz off your skin. [...] This little device has been game-changing. [...] You pull the bottom down to replace the battery and [...] this little head that removes the peach fuzz can be replaced every couple of months. [...] You can use this in between your brows, [...] along your jawline, the sideburn area, [...] around the lip. It really does work. You don't feel a thing and it works really quickly."

What has Sincerely Miss Ash skipped in haircare?
She skipped only a small number of products, but her reasons are specific and helpful. She gave the Living Proof Perfect Hair Day Advanced Clean Dry Shampoo a hard pass, saying it was the worst dry shampoo she had ever used. It left a heavy film that made her fine hair look dirtier than before. She also skipped the Rare Beauty Find Comfort Body and Hair Fragrance Mist, which she found disappointing once it dried down to what she described as a cheap, powdery scent. Both skips came down to the same thing: a product that did not behave the way she expected once it settled on her hair.
"This is the worst dry shampoo I have ever used. It [...] puts this weird heavy film on my hair and it just makes my hair look lifeless. It looks dirtier than what it was prior. I've had this for a long time and I couldn't completely finish it. It just never worked for me. Maybe this would be suited for those that have thicker, coarser hair. I have pretty fine hair and maybe this is just not for my hair type. So, if you're thinking of this, I would say pass."
"It turns into this powdery scent with a little bit of warmth in there, a little bit of a spice, and it just smells like cheap men's cologne or cheap men's deodorant. That is how I can describe this, it's just very cheap smelling, and I was just so disappointed with this. It comes out really nice, a very fine mist, but once it dries down, super powdery. If you like a powdery scent then you might really like this. I personally don't like powder in my fragrances. I just don't like that."
What should you take from Sincerely Miss Ash's picks?
Sincerely Miss Ash's haircare record is a strong one. She leans heavily toward repair-focused products, especially anything that protects colour-treated or highlighted hair, and she is specific about what does not work on fine hair. If you have a similar hair type, her skips are as useful as her approvals.
