"The very last skincare product was actually an accidental purchase. I meant to pick up ZO Skin Health Advanced Radical Night Repair, which has the 1% retinol, and my intention was to use this as a peel, but instead I accidentally got their Retinol Skin Brightener. It has encapsulated retinol, bakuchiol, and skin brighteners. I finished it because I liked it, and also because it cost me $152, but I didn't love it, which for that price, you can't win them all."

"This retinol from ZO Skin Health is a Retinol Skin Brightener but it's a good quality retinol and if you're going to use your A, vitamin A, C and E, maybe you want to spend a little bit more money on it. [...] Having formulated my own skincare, there's different levels and grades of retinoids. So even retinols, there's so many different grades of it you can get, encapsulated retinol, etc. Sometimes the higher price point means that the actual complex of the retinol as well as the delivery mechanism is much better."

"There's no perfume in this particular product, so this is actually one that I probably would recommend because it's got some silicone, obviously a lot of skincare brands don't seem to care for the environment and stuff, but it's got some citrus things in there which can sensitize but they're much less than perfumes. It's got some alcohol in there but it's not terrible. So if there's one that I sort of recommend in terms of retinol, I'd probably recommend this because this is not going to desensitize your skin as quick as some of the other formulations."
