What the gurus are saying

This serum earns consistent praise for plumping fine lines and wrinkles while firming skin and boosting hydration, with experts highlighting the bluebell stem cell extract and botanical actives like ginseng that support elasticity and barrier repair. The main trade-off is price, which experts describe as a genuine investment; one expert uses it nightly over retinoid with strong results but notes it is not a necessity for everyone. A small amount of silicone sits lower in the formula than the plant extracts, so it remains plant-forward overall.

"I use that product daily I love it, you guys. That's like Botox in a bottle, just saying. I love it. It's the ZO Skin Health Growth Factor Serum, and how I use that is I use it actually as a moisturizer over the top of my retinoid at night, so I'll put on a retinoid and then I'll put that over the top of it. Amazing. Expensive, you have to, but you guys have to make sure if you're investing in these kinds of treatments, which, you know, it's an investment, I would 100% make you guys go out and buy your sunscreen, buy your medical-grade creams, buy your stem cell serums, all that stuff you need to be helping on the outside."

"I love this product because I know that I'm going to send someone away and they're going to get the results. [...] It really helps to plump out fine lines wrinkles, firming, it's very anti-aging. It's fantastic for hydration and helps to restore the barrier function as well. [...] You've got these bluebell stem cell so it helps prevent future aging, you've got [...] polymorphia sinensis root extract which helps calm and soothe the skin as well as has ginseng extract which helps with elasticity and firmness. If you actually look at the ingredients, yes we've got some silicone in there which is a little bit disappointing, but those root extracts come up a lot more higher on the list so it's a very natural, plant-based growth factor stimulating serum."

What the evidence says.

Independent of what the gurus think, this is what the published research supports about the main active ingredients here.

Vitamin E

Vitamin E is an antioxidant, and it is often in a formula to keep the other ingredients stable rather than as the active itself. It pairs well with vitamin C, though on its own the evidence for visible change is limited.
