What the gurus are saying

The experts who tested it found the formula leaves hair silky and manageable, and praise the value at its price point. One noted the lightweight texture works well for daily use on hair ends to reduce friction and frizz, especially before sleep. The one thing to keep in mind: it does contain fragrance, so those with fragrance sensitivity may want to patch test first. The formula takes time to use through, so a little goes a long way.

"I love hair serums or hair oils. I kind of use them interchangeably but I use it on almost like a daily if not twice a day basis. What I like to do with oils, especially the ones that are really lightweight, is I like to put it on my ends before I sleep to reduce any sort of friction damage or roughness that may bring about make my hair feel more dry and frizzy the next day. So I kind of coat my ends with hair serum and oil before I sleep and then again in the morning if I feel my hair is just a little bit dry and frizzy I will again add a little bit of oil and serum to the ends to just keep my hair feeling soft and shiny and smooth throughout the day and especially in between hair washing. For $5 you can't go wrong, especially with this texture and the ingredients. I think it's a great steal."

"I have been using the Trader Joe's shea butter and coconut oil hair mask. This is decent not bad and it's got coconut oil which is really good for the hair. It also has shea. This does have fragrance in it but it does a job. I did find that my hair was silky and manageable using this. It took me a while to make my way through the 5.01 ounces, so this is a really good value."
