What the gurus are saying

Gurus overwhelmingly praise this serum for delivering visible results on dark circles, puffiness, and wrinkles, with many reporting it lasts a long time and represents strong value at its price point. The peptide blend, particularly the inclusion of multiple peptide types and caffeine, is consistently highlighted as effective. The main friction point is the watery texture and odd packaging that takes drawer space and isn't travel-friendly, though most who experience this still recommend the product. One reviewer found it merely okay, but the consensus leans strongly positive, especially among those who used it consistently.

"This is The Ordinary Multi-Peptide Eye Serum. Once you open this you have 6 months. A lot of it has to do with the bottle. A lot of it has to do with oxidative stress. When you open things like this don't leave it open for a long time. You want to open it, take the thing immediately, twist it tight."

"This is their Multi-Peptide Eye Serum. Just a drop right around the eyes is all you need. And it's full of good anti-aging peptides. One drop is enough for both eyes. Then you kind of just pat it on. It feels nice for an evening routine. It's on the daytime routine for my eye products. And it's got a lot of good ingredients in it as well."

"It contains the synake peptide. It also contains caffeine. And then it also contains hydroxymethylphenol decanone which is an antioxidant from the ginger family. And it's claimed to be an anti-irritant and a hydrating ingredient. So maybe if you specifically suffer from the allergic type allergy type of puffiness, the anti-irritant in this can help. It's also great for anti-aging with the peptides in there."

"The Ordinary Multipeptide Eye Serum is a nice option. There's no real other similar products that contain 50 peptides. Overall, it's still a good product with good ingredients. I'll definitely finish it. The packaging is a bit odd and takes up space in your drawer, not friendly to travel with, but I could consider repurchasing it."

"It's got retinopeptide 189 which is a peptide that's claimed to help boost the skin cell turnover to promote the synthesis of collagen. And then it's got the synake peptide which is the Botox in a bottle type peptide that helps with repeated fine lines and repeated wrinkles from repeated movement. So like smile lines, crows feet, things like that. It's lightweight. It's got a really nice lightweight texture to it and a kind of hydrating texture. So I would probably recommend using this one at night. It is a little bit hydrating, but I think if you apply a moisturizer or a sunscreen afterwards or give it a minute to soak in, it'll be okay."

"If your under-eye area is always dehydrated and you have a lot of wrinkles, then I'm also going to give you another layering combination. And that is using the Multi-Peptide Eye Serum by The Ordinary. Me and my husband, we finished two of these small jars. We were hyper obsessed with The Ordinary Multi-Peptide Eye Serum. If you use The Ordinary Multi-Peptide Eye Serum, apply it the same way, let it sit on your skin, let it absorb. If you are going to use your retinyl eye cream, it is also going to give you great results. But if your fine lines and wrinkles are very intense, even if you're not smiling and you see those expression lines, then use The Ordinary Multi-Peptide along with your retinol or retinyl based eye cream. That is going to give you some of the best results."

"If you're looking for an all-in-one multi-peptide type serum, The Ordinary's Multi-Peptide Eye Serum, I highly recommend it. I used it all through last year and even repurchased it. This has 0.1% retinol and it also contains caffeine. It has copper peptide, which is a very high strength, very high quality peptide, and it has three other different types of peptides. So in the peptide game, I feel this one wins a little more. But if we're talking formulations and ingredients overall, this is a very, very similar product."

This product has done the one thing for me which nobody, no product has done ever, and that is I just feel it is becoming stronger and thicker. BEST EYE CREAM 2024 - Top 5 Anti Aging Eye Creams
"The peptides in here are great for smoothing out fine lines and wrinkles and eliminating the crow's feet, and they also could help at the margins with discoloration. It's well formulated with multiple different peptides to add benefits, and these peptides are specifically designed for the benefit that they can bring to the under eye area. It's nice and hydrating, it's super lightweight, and I think it's a great allrounder for people that are looking to kind of dip their toe into anti-aging for the under eye area. This is a nice affordable option to do that. It's small but it's mighty and you only need the tiniest amount. I tend to put a little bit like a couple of drops in the palm of my hand and then just dab it on, and that works best for me in terms of application."
WORLDS BEST EYE CREAM 2024 - 5 Anti Aging Eye Creams That Work
"This is great, it's packed full of peptides which give long-term anti-aging benefits. It's got some very very gentle exfoliators in here which are going to minimize the appearance of any milia that you have, but it's also suitable for sensitive skin. It's a great one-stop shop that I think would genuinely work for everybody. If your under eye is super super sensitive, make sure you patch test first, but I would recommend that everyone do that when they're introducing a new product. Other than that, I think this should be like a home run for anyone that tries it. It's inexpensive when you look at the quality of the formulation, and this is one of the true unsung heroes in The Ordinary skincare collection that I recommend to so many people and they get great great benefits with it."

"The Ordinary Multi-Peptide Eye Serum, I'm reading this two stars out of five. I was really excited when this launched, I finally bought it and I didn't really get to see any type of results with this because the packaging sucks and that's why I knocked so many stars off of it. The packaging is a little dropper bottle like most Ordinary products are, however this is a very runny formula, it's not an eye cream, it's truly like an eye serum, it's very very runny liquid. In order to apply this you have to put it onto your fingers and then you have to get it onto your face right away, and I just found that I would quickly drop the dropper into the bottle in order to not have it run down my hands. I would always knock this over, I would never have enough time to close this before it started running down my hand. I lost so much product, I lost over half of the bottle because it would tip over and spill out into the sink. The packaging sucks. This formula really does need a more precise kind of packaging."

"This is the Multi-Peptide Eye Serum from The Ordinary and I literally just started using it this morning. I actually can't tell you too much about this product, but I've been excited to put this into my skincare routine. It has a gel type of texture but it's running, though there is a little bit of body to it which I think is pretty important if you're going to do an eye serum instead of an eye cream because you don't want it dripping all down your face. I was a little afraid at first when I tried it this morning about how runny it might be, but it actually kind of stayed in the area that you apply it pretty well."

"I found a peptide eye serum on a budget that I actually really like, this one by The Ordinary, the Multi-Peptide Eye Serum. It just comes in a little dropper bottle and it's a little bit viscous, so a little bit thicker of a serum, which is really good right under the eyes. My third ingredient that I recommend is a peptide like this one, really affordable. Between retinaldehyde, puchol, and peptides I would use them kind of in that order for anti-aging. If you cannot tolerate a retinaldehyde try puchol. If you can't tolerate that, try a peptide serum."

"This was their Multi-Peptide Eye Serum, not bad for the price, but I just didn't see results. I posted a YouTube video where I tested and tried this on one eye and when I looked at myself in the mirror I didn't see a difference, but by the end of the video everyone was like, oh my gosh, no that one eye that you put it on is brighter and it looks better. For me I didn't see it, and I'm wondering if I should give it another shot, but I don't want to give it another shot at full price. I like peptides all over my face, so I'll put it on my smile lines, but with this eye serum I was just not super impressed with it. If you're someone who likes an eye serum and you think that you saw a difference, then go for it and get it on sale, otherwise this was a new launch that I just wasn't super sold on."

"I really love their new Multi-Peptide Eye Serum. I think it's such an effective formula, it's got everything I need for this eye area. The Ordinary just really knows how to do peptides well. This contains eight actives which make up 35% of the entire formula, which is concentrated love. This treats the eyes on so many levels. I love the fact that I can use this on my upper mobile lids as well as the under eyes. This has niacinamide for the brightening, and a bunch of signal peptides like Matrixyl for really helping with the appearance of lines and crows feet. There's also Acetyl Tetrapeptide-5 which is really effective at dealing with undereye puffiness, but there's also caffeine in this as well to help with that too. I'm not just talking about eye bags, I'm talking about upper lid puffiness as well. I feel like this has been effective at reducing that. This is lightweight in texture but it's just robust enough that you feel it hydrating the skin around here and plumping the skin where the fine lines are. This is a great affordable alternative that is similarly effective."

"I definitely appreciate an under eye brightening effect with it, but like other similar products, I find that you don't need that much of that product. I gave it a good try before reviewing it and I've continued to use it off and on trying to make my way through it. I see benefit, I see improvement, but to me it's the same as The Ordinary Caffeine Plus EGCG. I don't appreciate much of a difference."

Dermatologist reviews *NEW* SKINCARE FROM THE ORDINARY
"It can help constrict the blood vessels and push excess fluid away from that area, de-puffing and brightening up that area, so I definitely find that this product works in that regard. However, I feel like we have to put a lot of faith in all these other peptides. In my opinion it doesn't offer much, at least in terms of performance and results that I am seeing. The results I'm seeing are no different than when I use their Caffeine Plus EGCG serum. This particular serum is more expensive, and they justify the price point by saying they've put these peptides in at a higher concentration and therefore it's more costly to formulate. But are those things worth it for you, or is it really bringing a whole lot extra to the table above and beyond what their Caffeine Plus EGCG serum already offers? In my experience, no. The texture and consistency is very thin; you honestly do not need very much at all. You will see how easily it spreads with less than a rice grain's worth all around the eye area. One thing I found is that you definitely don't want to overuse this because it will end up migrating into your eyes and it makes the eyes burn."

MORNING SKINCARE ROUTINE & SHOPPING FOR SKINCARE AT MARSHALLS
"I really think this product, I do feel I see a subtle under eye brightening effect which I attribute to the caffeine. I do kind of see a subtle under eye depuffing effect. Allegedly the peptides in this help with fluid accumulation under the eyes, I don't know about that. The caffeine might help decongest the under eye a bit too. You barely need anything for the skin around your eyes so this whole bottle is going to take eons to make it through, and it's only good within six months of opening."

"I've also been trying to make my way through the Ordinary Multi-Peptide Eye Serum that I reviewed for y'all and that's fine but it ends up transferring into my eyes especially when I'm in the shower and I think too like the heat and the humidity may have something to do with that but it does cause my eyes to get a little like itchy watery while I'm in there. It makes my skin soft but it dries out my lips. I haven't been super consistent with this because I just want to finish it out basically."
DEPUFFING EYE SERUM & SHOPPING AT WALMART
"I don't know that the peptides in this do much but the caffeine does kind of de-puff. I see a subtle under eye brightening effect with this product but I think it's related to the caffeine. I don't know that this would be something I would ever repurchase myself."

"The Multi-Peptide Eye Serum is great to target discoloration around the eyes, crepiness, crow's feet, fine lines, all of that stuff that we can develop around the eye area, and this is really beneficial. I really like this one from The Ordinary. I use it all the time in my morning routine, but sometimes I also do use it at night time and it's fabulous. THE ORDINARY'S BEST ANTI-AGING SERUMS | THESE ARE LEGIT AND THEY DO WORK! ACHIEVE MAXIMUM RESULTS!
"This is made for the eye area and contains multiple different types of peptides with caffeine and niacinamide, so if you have dark circles or puffiness, these two ingredients can help to improve that. I don't have dark circles so I can't speak whether or not this actually works for that, but I do wake up puffy pretty much every single morning around my eye area and this really helps to de-puff. I really like using this in my morning skincare routine. Everything layers up nicely, my moisturizer, my sunscreen, my makeup sit great on top of this and I've never had an issue with pilling nor have I ever had dryness or irritation. This one is very thin and lightweight, it's not sticky, it's not tacky, and all you need is one drop and one drop will do both of your eyes, so a little bit goes a long way. This will address crow's feet, fine lines and wrinkles, it will help firm, it will brighten, it will plump, but it will also help with dark circles and puffiness."

If you can just be consistent with this you can still see and achieve good results, it just might take a little bit longer. You're getting 15 milliliters of product, and one drop will do both of your eyes so this will last a really long time. All you need is one drop or even half a drop because it spreads so nicely. I do like to put either an eye cream on top or just my face moisturizer to lock in hydration, but I love this for every day, twice a day."

"I love peptides. This formula contains four peptides which helps to address signs of aging but it also helps to firm the skin at the same time. But this also has caffeine and niacinamide which will help with dark circles and puffiness. I wake up puffy almost every morning and I can tell you right now that this serum really helps to reduce that puffiness. This is a very hydrating formula, it's also very plumping, so if you're someone that wears makeup your concealer just looks exceptional underneath the eyes when you're using this product. This is a formula that you can use every day twice a day and I do, I use this all the time. All you need is one drop and that will do both of your eyes. 5 BEST EYE SERUMS FOR ANTI-AGING 2023 | DARK CIRCLES, PUFFINESS, FINE LINES/WRINKLES | OVER 30
"The Ordinary Multi-Peptide Eye Serum is another serum that I consider the best. This one really does work, the formulation is on point, and I am so happy that they came out with an eye serum that doesn't dry out the under eyes. This one has caffeine but it doesn't dry out the skin and it does depuff. It also has niacinamide for dark circles, but it also contains four types of peptides which really help to firm the skin and help to soften fine lines. If I am super consistent with this and I'm using it every day twice a day for a long period of time, I really do see a difference where the under eyes feel and look a little firmer. Plus it's hydrating. It sits nicely underneath sunscreen and makeup, and this one really does depuff. I always put a moisturizer on top of this while it's still damp around the eye area because when you do that, that's when you will achieve that plumper hydrated look for the entire day."

"You're also getting 15 mls of product. This is more like a watery type of serum, but there is a little bit of a thickness to it which is coming from the glycerin ingredient, but this is lovely. So if you're looking for a good affordable one and you love the Ordinary, this is a must try."

"It will help to address crow's feet, fine lines, puffiness, and dark circles. It really does help to give that overall brightness. It's very hydrating as well and it's effective. It has peptides, caffeine, and niacinamide. This is a great option if you're looking for something that isn't as advanced and also something that is more affordable."
