What the gurus are saying

Gurus praise the serum's lightweight texture, ease of use, and affordability, with strong consensus that it works well for sensitive skin and as a layering product. The split hinges on expectations: some see genuine radiance and glow benefits with consistent use, while others found marketing overstates the immediate brightening payoff. A recurring frustration is The Ordinary's omission of ingredient concentrations, and several reviewers note results require sustained use over weeks to months, not quick fixes.

"If you're sensitive to vitamin C, this is a nice way to get some antioxidants in your morning routine without some of the irritation. It's super lightweight, but it's got some nice antioxidants as well, which make it a really nice daytime serum to use underneath your moisturizer and sunscreen. It's got ascorbyl glucoside, EGCG which is a great antioxidant, the thymulin 4 peptide that's supposed to help with skin regeneration, ginseng extract which is a great antioxidant, silver ear mushroom extract, and bixa seed extract, which is another strong antioxidant. It's really nice and super light, fit into your routine really easily."

"It's just watery, absorbs quickly, a little bit of it goes a long way, it's really easy to fit in your routine. Would I use this on its own as an antioxidant serum? Maybe. Depends on how much ginseng is really in here. I have a feeling not that much. And given the price, there's a lot of really good ginseng products and they're a little bit more expensive. But yeah, this one's nice with other products. So that's the caveat or the asterisk at the end of the sentence. I like it with other products."

"It's very hydrating. It never pills with skincare products. You can use this morning and or evening and it's great for all skin types. I find this to be quite gentle."

THE ORDINARY MULTI-ANTIOXIDANT RADIANCE SERUM - DAILY SERUM TO FADE DARK SPOTS & BOOST SKIN RADIANCE
"I haven't been using this for too long, like I've only used this a handful of times and I want to talk about my experience so far and then I'm going to come back in a couple of months time with my final thoughts. I like to test products for several weeks to a couple of months before I say whether I love it or hate it to give more of an in-depth review."

"They use antioxidants carefully selected in order to boost radiance and luminosity. It's a two-in-one powerhouse. Super gentle, but genuinely delivers. So, if you've got sensitive skin but you want extra glow and you don't want to go in with exfoliators and harsh actives, this could be a really nice option to go for. It's got a blend of different antioxidants chosen for their ability to brighten the skin. If you're already happy with your glow game and your glow routine, you don't need this. If you're looking for something to add to it to just increase luminosity, that's a really inexpensive way of doing it."

THE ORDINARY RADIANCE SERUM - What Were They Thinking
"I had high expectations for this product but I would say having used it for the past couple of weeks in my own routine my thoughts are slightly more mixed than the ones that you've seen online. The price point for this in the UK is $14, roughly $16, which I think is quite an affordable price point in keeping with that Ordinary pricing strategy, and you get 30 ml of product. The packaging is opaque gel, very traditional Ordinary packaging, which is great because the opacity helps to ensure that the product is protected against UV light keeping it fresh for as long as possible. The Ordinary claim that this product is going to protect the skin from environmental aggressors, help to boost radiance and luminosity, and boost barrier function and improve hydration levels in the skin. It's pitched as a one does it all kind of serum with multiple different active ingredients, which is much more comprehensive formulation than traditionally we expected from The Ordinary."
THE ORDINARY RADIANCE SERUM - What Were They Thinking
"The texture is really nice. You work this in for say 10 seconds and it disappears without a trace. Doesn't leave behind any stickiness or tackiness. It's just a really nice finish on the skin. Having used this for the best part of two weeks, I've seen some improvement when it comes to hydration levels in the skin. My skin definitely feels gorgeous having applied it and gives a nice finish and almost like a little bit of a plumpness to the skin. However, I've yet to see any boost to luminosity or radiance from using this product, and the antioxidants that they've chosen aren't my personal favorites. With a product like this, you really do have to use it for the long term to see those results. There is nothing in here that's going to give an instant boost to radiance, and there's also nothing that's really going to help in the immediate short term to boost luminosity. These are payoffs that you're going to get in the long term. Great product but you're going to really have to invest to see those results."

There is nothing in here that's going to give an instant boost to radiance. There's also nothing that's really going to help in the immediate short term to boost luminosity. These are all payoffs that you're going to get in the long term. Some of the marketing around it is a little bit misleading and could be overhyping expectations which just leads to disappointment. Great product but you're going to really have to invest to see those results. I'm at the two and a bit week mark and I haven't seen any increase in radiance as a result of this yet. I think it will come but I'd say set your expectations right. Another con for me is the fact that you don't know the concentrations on everything. This contains a vitamin C derivative, scorbal gluccoside, which is a wonderful glow enhancing vitamin C derivative, but they haven't said what strength is actually in here. The Ordinary always put their percentages on everything, so I don't really know why they've decided not to do that here."
$10 Miracle Serum - FADE HYPERPIGMENTATION FAST
"The multi-antioxidant Radiance Serum will do all of that honestly, but when it comes to products from the ordinary that are going to deliver you some next level hyperpigmentation action, it's the alpha arbutin 2% that really is going to deliver that. You can actually use the new multi-antioxidant serum and the alpha arbutin together to double down on the benefits."
THE ORDINARY SECRET SERUMS - 5 Serums Could Change Everything!
"Really easy product to use. It works alongside everything else in your routine. And if you already have an antioxidant that you love, you can either use this alongside it or you can use it in place of it. This is a great way of elevating your antioxidant game, particularly if your key focus from your skincare is radiance and luminosity. I love it. I use it every single day and my skin just adores it. It's super inexpensive, too. It's a great blend of really well thought through antioxidants that I think just deliver that glow that we're all secretly chasing."
MOVE OVER VITAMIN C - This Hyperpigmentation Serum Blew Me Away
"The Ordinary Multi-Antioxidant Radiance Serum uses antioxidants known for their brightening properties. It's not as advanced as some higher-end options, but it still really does work. I've been using this as part of my skincare routine for some time, and it has always delivered for me. It's a really nice affordable option, particularly with sales. I think it's 75% of the way there compared to pricier alternatives, and it's super affordable. Great for hyperpigmentation, particularly postinflammatory hyperpigmentation such as post acne or sun damage related hyperpigmentation."
MOVE OVER VITAMIN C - This Hyperpigmentation Serum Blew Me Away
"I've been using this as part of my skincare routine for some time. It's always always delivered for me and I think is a really nice affordable option, particularly now because The Ordinary have a 23% off sale, so that just brings that price point right down. It's a great option. I think it's 75% of the way there, and it's super affordable. I'm going to give this product a solid 9.5 out of 10. I'm knocking half a mark off because I still think they could do it slightly cheaper. I've been super super impressed with this. Great for hyperpigmentation, particularly postinflammatory hyperpigmentation such as post acne or sun damage related hyperpigmentation. And I think for the price point to get 8 weeks worth of product in one purchase and to be able to see amazing results in those 8 weeks, worth it every single time."
IS IT ALL OVER FOR THE ORDINARY - Sales Fall, Flop Launches, Cancelled Products
"They have their multi-antioxidant radiance serum. Another fab new launch which whilst a little bit more niche like with that lip exfoliator is still great if you're using it correctly and you have skin that can benefit from it."

"At this point when I am filming this video I have used this product for about 10 days actually. Not really able to use this product and test it out yet because I was doing some experimentation level work. But this serum is kind of special for a few select people and you will know if you are that person if you watch this video right to the end."

Review of The Ordinary Multi Antioxidant Radiance Serum | Nipun Kapur
"If you have pigmentation and acne marks and you're following a routine, you will need to pair this with some kind of depigmenting ingredient. Otherwise you will be very disappointed. Overall I do think this is a good product. I do feel there is a place for it for someone, and someone can find a need for it. But after days of testing, I have not used it and I will not use it because my personal skincare routine is going through a bit of a transformation at the moment."
