What the gurus are saying

The gurus who weighed in praise this as an affordable hydrating serum that does what it promises. They found it absorbs well across skin layers, works particularly nicely for oily and eczema-prone skin, and delivers added anti-aging benefit from the Matrixyl 3000 peptide included in the formula. The one thing to keep in mind: it's designed to go on damp skin and then be sealed with a moisturizer to trap that moisture in. One expert flagged the packaging as not ideal, but that didn't shift the overall approval.

"I use the hyaluronic acid on my hands before I moisturize. The hyaluronic acid really helped with the really dry hands and itchy eczema I would get in between my fingers from washing my hands all the time. Applying the hyaluronic acid first and then sealing it in with a moisturizer made the biggest difference. When I used to just use a moisturizer, it kind of felt like it was just sitting on top of my hands and it wasn't penetrating the deep layers of the skin. Having that humectant to really draw in that moisture made such a difference. My hands have not had that itchy dry eczema problem basically since I started using it. I love the Inkey List because the products are really good and it's super affordable."

I finished a bunch of stuff. Let's see if they were worth it 🥲
"I love it because it's super affordable. I use this hyaluronic acid on my hands before I go with my retinol, or sometimes I give my hands a break and I don't use a retinol and I will just use a heavy moisturizer. I always go in with a layer of hyaluronic acid. I keep this in my nightstand and I put it on first because don't neglect your hands, you guys. Just as much as your face shows age, your hands do."

"I love The Inkey List, a very popular hyaluronic acid serum. Hyaluronic acid is a carbohydrate that draws in water like a sponge. It's a water magnet. It tries to plump up the skin."

"The Inkey List is one of those more affordable options that you can get like at Sephora. Those hyaluronic acid serums are just fine. Hyaluronic acid is a water magnet, put that on to damp skin after you cleanse to trap in all that moisture and then go ahead and put a moisturizing cream over it."

"The Inkey List Hyaluronic Acid Serum is great to put on damp skin, and then you put a moisturizer over it to seal it in with your favorite moisturizer. It just soaks up all that moisture, which is a nice way to reduce fine lines."

"The Inkey List makes a nice one, as well as The Ordinary, very affordable brand. You could always do a hyaluronic acid serum with a moisturizer if it's very subtle and not too deep in the crease, and then layer with the moisturizer over it."

"This is their hyaluronic acid serum, this is $10 but it's not just hyaluronic acid. This also has in it Matrixyl 3000, which is my favorite peptide for anti-aging. It's one of the peptides that has the most research behind it that shows that it can rebuild collagen in the skin. So for $10 you get hyaluronic acid and peptides that's going to simplify your routine and not overdo it for your skin barrier."

"The Inkey List's hyaluronic acid product is lightweight. It combines different molecular weights of hyaluronic acid so it gives you moisture and absorbs across multiple layers of the skin surface. This one is only $7.99 right now, so a serum that is amazing under $10. I think it is one of the best sellers from The Inkey List. This one also contains glycerin and Matrixyl 3000, which is a peptide that can build collagen in your skin, soften fine lines and wrinkles. So if you want an amazing hydrating serum under $10, check this one out by The Inkey List."

"The hyaluronic acid serum from The Inkey List does exactly what it says in the tin. It's made of hyaluronic acid and is designed to have a thin layer. It should rapidly absorb because it's not a thick cream, it's a serum. Once you've got hyaluronic acid within the skin, that's going to help with moisture. If you have an impaired skin barrier, your skin is maybe a little bit sensitive and it can be a little bit dry and fluctuates between oily and dry, this is where hyaluronic acid is normally paired with another serum called niacinamide, and niacinamide is vitamin B3 which really helps the protective layer on the skin, the skin barrier, that lipid barrier that prevents moisture from releasing."

"The Inkey List has hyaluronic acid, but also things that are almost like emollients so like glycerin is fantastic as an emollient, and you've also got caprylic triglycerides as well, so fatty acids that are sitting over the top. This is great because you're not only seeding moisture with your hyaluronic acid but then you're also helping with that outer layer a little bit as well, so it's almost like two products in one in itself."

"The Inkey List formulates this in a way that doesn't cause drying the way a lot of other inexpensive hyaluronic acids do. For the price, this is a good one, and because I can mix it into so many things, it's so versatile. It does work. For my oily-prone skin, it is a hit. If you are looking for something to add to your routine to hydrate, especially if you use this mixed in with a moisturizer or under a moisturizer, this is it. It's already like seven dollars, so I think it's worth it. I don't think you should be spending tons of money on hyaluronic acid."
