What the gurus are saying

Gurus praise the serum's luxurious texture and hydrating payoff, especially for dehydrated skin, and note it layers well in routines. The consistent complaint is the high price tag for a non-essential product. There's agreement that it delivers a subtle glow without looking shiny, making it a nice indulgence if budget allows rather than a must-have.

"The Tatcha Silk Serum is a bakuchiol alternative and it has pomegranate extract and squalane, which is basically a marine extract. In addition to this, this product also has peptides. The texture of that serum was gorgeous. If Tatcha is something you guys want to explore, this is a product that's very amazing. Now that I know what's in it, I want to use it more consistently."

"This is a lovely serum. It has like this beautiful pearl in it, it's great for underneath makeup and it's a really great step for like after a mist and before moisturizer, especially if you have very very dry skin or you have dehydrated skin. I was using it when my skin was really really dehydrated, especially when I had to do makeup and I would do a mist, I would do the serum and then I would do some kind of a moisturizer and it was just like such a nice combination. That said, it's super expensive and it's definitely not necessary. If you have some money to spend on skincare and you want to indulge in a little bit of luxury skincare it is really nice and it does make your skin glow. If you wear it on a day when you're not doing your makeup, like just on your face, it doesn't make your face look like shiny or sparkly in any way, it just makes your skin look hydrated, which is really nice."
