What the gurus are saying

This retinol earns consistent praise for delivering visible results on fine lines and plumping the skin noticeably within days, with deep hydration that offsets dryness. The gurus who've used it long-term confirm it works to increase collagen, reduce sun damage and dark spots, and help keep pores clear. Expect some mild sensitivity around the two to three week mark as your skin adjusts, which the experts view as a reassuring sign the retinol is active. At Costco, the value is hard to beat: a 3.4 oz jar plus a 1.7 oz travel size for under fifty dollars.

"Cannot go wrong with RoC retinols and this fragrance-free option. It's really good. It's competitive neck and neck with the Neutrogena Rapid Wrinkle Repair retinol cream. For an effective retinol formulation that does deliver results, consistent use of this over a period of 2 to 3 weeks, you'll start to feel the retinol make you a touch sensitive. It's not necessarily to say that if you don't experience that it's not working, but it is reassuring that that appears at a predictable time point with these and then your skin gets accustomed to it. This and the Neutrogena Rapid Wrinkle Repair, those are some retinols that you can feel confident in. Lots of R&D, lots of history here. At Costco, you're getting this package deal: $49.99 for a 3.4 oz jar plus a 1.7 oz jar. Retinol in a jar can be stable and it can work. I can attest to the 48 hours of deep hydration with this. It plumps the surface of the skin and will diminish those little fine lines right away, but it also helps offset some of the dryness and irritation."

"RoC is the first retinol brand I ever tried and I've been using it for many years, love their products. They have great results from their retinol. Retinol is a vitamin A derivative that will go into the cell into the nucleus and bind to receptors to increase collagen production, help with those fine lines and wrinkles, help reduce hyperpigmentation, keep your pores clean. Retinoids will help reverse sun damage, increase cell turnover and really will help reduce those dark spots that you'll get from the sun."
