In July of 2025, the brand finally reformulated the Rhode Peptide Lip Treatment, swapping out solid shea butter for liquid shea butter, which seems to have fixed the grainy texture. I don't think they've ever really addressed the moldy, gross smell people have complained about or the claims of adverse reactions."

"I've only had these products for like five days and I already can tell I love this product. The consistency is almost like Laneige but a touch lighter, and it feels nicer on the skin. The way this has improved the texture, the feeling, and the condition of my lips, it's just done the job it's supposed to do."
