What the gurus are saying

This cream tackles body texture and keratosis pilaris without the harshness of traditional scrubs, blending gentle exfoliating acids and 10% urea to smooth bumps, fade scarring, and reduce redness in one formula. Gurus praise how softly it works, yet delivers visible results on arms, thighs, and sun-damaged areas like hands and chest, and it layers easily without feeling greasy or filmy. Best used as a night treatment, and can be paired with a glycolic acid if you want to dial up the smoothing effect.

"The Remedy For Body Bumps is going to be the best smoothing body moisturizer you have ever used. I'm somebody that suffered with a lot of texture on the body and these two products used together have just sorted that. You could use both together or one or the other. It's really up to you. But if you have a lot of texture, you might have bumps, you might have breakouts, I always recommend this to everyone."

Biggest GLYCOLIC ACID Mistakes - How To Use Glycolic Acid Correctly
"This is the Remedy For Body Bumps. This has a good strength of urea in here which I love. It's also got a touch of lactic acid which is my favorite exfoliator. So this is kind of like a one-stop shop. You don't even need to use glycolic alongside this if you don't want. However if you want to dial up the results you can use a glycolic acid alongside this to kind of get maximum outcomes. Use this daily."

"You've got an encapsulated retinol which is going to get that cell turnover going and smooth everything out, and then you've got ceramides and squalane for the hydration. So I'd say this takes a multipronged attack to texture on the body, exfoliate it away, smooth it out, but also nourish and hydrate so it doesn't dry everything out. I love this. It's probably one of the most effective KP chicken skin treatments I've ever used. I'm on bottle two of it now and I absolutely love it. If you're in for a little body care and you want to get summer body ready, I think this is such a nice product."
5⭐ SKIN FIRMING ROUTINE (Ultimate Anti Aging Skincare Routine)
"I use this on the tops of my arms, on the thighs, where I tend to get bumps, texture irregularities. If you have the bumps, the old KP, this works really, really well. For me, I think this is probably the most effective of the body care treatments that I've ever found. I love this."

"The four body bump super stacked KP and textured skin treatment from Remedy has lactic acid, retinol, and urea. It's a super, super nice body lotion. This is Dr. Shaw's brand and I really appreciate that he's kept things more affordable."

"This for me honestly is a 9 on 10. Fabulous product."

"Many of you have already tried our remedy For Body Bumps. This is a combination of 10% urea, 5% lactic acid, and 0.1% retinol as a body moisturizer. It's a thicker cream to really hydrate the skin."

"Remedy For Body Bumps also has urea, again just one of those functional ingredients paired with a lot of other ingredients with complimenting benefits. So 10% urea in that formula. It's a more comprehensive product targeted towards more textured treatments on the body as we age and even dry cracked heels, which is what my mom uses it for, but more comprehensive formula but still incorporating urea."

"This is something that we always used for thickened skin, anywhere for keratosis pilaris, for thickened and dry cracked heels. I mean it has so much utility and it's a very gentle ingredient on the skin. We spent two years working on the urea formula, and we launched with our Remedy For Body Bumps which has 10% urea also with lactic acid and retinol to really target those body bumps."

"Remedy For Body Bumps has kind of all of these ingredients in it. It's got your retinol in it, higher concentration than the Versed one, and the urea and the lactic acid so it can treat both the KP and it can also treat the dark spots that come afterwards. It's a little bit more pricey, so if you're looking to save a little bit I would go with the other one, but if you can stomach the price at $21 then I would say this has everything in it so it's a good option."

Keratosis Pilaris? Crepey Skin? New Product Alert from Remedy Science 🚨
"I'm super excited this is for body care to be honest that's something I think we under talk about. This is essentially formulated for keratosis polaris but it does so much more. I am so passionate about this product. This product, when we talk about all the products from Remedy, everything is super stacked like we're taking multiple ingredients to solve a singular or many problems essentially. The idea for this product really surrounded keratosis polaris which are those scaly red sometimes pigmented bumps on the arms on the legs and sometimes even on the face and they're often times associated with eczema so you really need to use something that is not only exfoliating but also hydrating and can get rid of some of the redness and dark spots that are left behind around the follicles. It is a full body cream and it is very soft, blends hydrates easily. I have this arm hair test I do with body products if it blends and doesn't like cling and cake to the arm hair it's very successful that is very successful."

"It is a great product if you are looking to brighten up and improve the look of sun damage, photo aging on the backs of the hands, the chest, the sides of the neck. If you have what's called keratosis pilaris, I think you may find that this particular formulation helps to address some of those visible changes and improve the overall appearance of the skin. It's a really good formula. I don't have any problem with it. It doesn't peel, it doesn't leave the skin feeling filmy or greasy. I really liked it. I did go through it very quickly, but then again that's me, I am a glutton for moisturizer."

What the evidence says.

Independent of what the gurus think, this is what the published research supports about the main active ingredients here.

Retinoids

Retinoids are among the best studied ingredients in dermatology, with solid evidence for acne and for the fine lines and rough texture that come from sun exposure. Dryness and flaking in the first few weeks are common and usually settle.

Alpha hydroxy acids

Alpha hydroxy acids loosen the bonds holding dead cells at the surface. The evidence supports smoother texture and more even tone over time, and they can leave skin more sensitive to sun.

Urea

Urea both holds water in the skin and gently loosens dead surface cells. At higher strengths it has good evidence for very dry or thickened skin.
