What the gurus are saying

This peptide-packed balm achieves unusual lightness (no stickiness, no heavy feel) despite packing copper peptides, Matrixyl 3000, hexapeptides and more. Reviewers loved how it hydrated and nourished lips without feeling dense, went through bottles quickly enough to repurchase, and appreciated the minimal taste (subtle peach and minty notes from stevia). At $10-22 on sale, the ingredient quality versus price impressed.

"The Peach and Lily Collagen Cushion Peptide Lip Balm is very much okay. It's there. It nourishes for a while. Doesn't last that long though. And I would never buy it. I received it, used it, would never buy it."

"The Collagen Cushion Peptide Lip Balm is a very good lip balm. This is one of those where you apply it and your lips feel more nourished, more hydrated, and more moisturized."

New Skincare Products & the OLIVE YOUNG Chat: the end of sunscreen??
"This is the Peach and Lily Collagen Cushion Peptide Lip Balm. I love that I just applied this to my lips, I'm trying to decide if I want to get more of it during the Ulta ten times points day."
Skincare EMPTIES! Lots of HGs to end the year!
"I have to admit the new Peach & Lily lip balm is also incredible, the formula, the peptides, the feel, nice and light. I'm not the person who likes the heavier lip balms for daytime use, so if you like Kopari's lip glossy, you'll probably like this one too."
I Bought all the NEW Skincare at Ulta: Skin1004, Manyo, Bubble, & More!
"I did not have high expectations for this lip balm, but I am so happy with it. The ingredients list looks like a serum, that is everything I could possibly dream of in a lip product. It tastes good, there's a little bit of a minty sweetness from the stevia in it, and it stays on well, though it's not the most long lasting, for that you'd need something like lanolin, but for a vegan alternative it's still got a nice feel on your lips and it's not sticky. I'm very impressed, though I would probably never pay full price for Peach and Lily, at least not without a good points multiplier deal."

"I really love this lip balm. I went through it so fast. The Peach & Lily Collagen Peptide Cushion Liquid Balm. It was regularly 22 bucks, today or right now at Ulta it's 10 bucks and this stuff is really nice. They have four different shades and flavors. I just got the clear one and I liked it and I kept it on my nightstand and I went through it pretty quickly and I just loved it."

Peptide Lip Balm Favorites - Can Lip Products Be Beneficial for Anti-Aging?
"There is one that is much more impressive than the rest of these and that is the Peach & Lily Collagen Peptide Cushion Liquid Balm. It's 22 bucks at Ulta. It contains copper peptides, it contains Matrixyl 3000, half of that. It contains argilene, it contains the iseral peptide, it contains the matrial peptide, the eyas peptide, and those are known for helping with fine lines and puffiness and dark circles in the eyes specifically but can also be beneficial for other areas. It contains the cide peptide, chorin peptide, as well as hexapeptide 9, so that is a nice long list of peptides. The rest of these pale in comparison to it. So if you're looking for the one with the most bang for your buck, this is going to be it. In addition to that we've got grape seed oil, sea buckthorn oil, tamanu oil, vegan collagen, shea butter. No flavor, nice radiant finish."
Morning Skincare Routine With Anti-Aging & Brightening With Peptides, Vitamin C, Rice & More!
"I love this stuff it's really nice. It has just like a very almost not noticeable taste. It feels really nice though. I really am enjoying this lip balm. I have a lot of lip balms I like. I tend to like ones that are like gel. I don't really like lip balms that have like a strong taste to them or if they have any taste they prefer vanilla like this stuff is so."

"The new Peach and Lily lip balm, which is their cushion collagen peptide lip balm, and I like it. It has a very very subtle little peach flavor to it and it feels nice. It's not ridiculously expensive but it is. It feels nice on your lips. Very light light flavor and everything like that which is nice."

What the evidence says.

Independent of what the gurus think, this is what the published research supports about the main active ingredients here.

Ceramides

Ceramides are part of the skin's own barrier, and moisturisers built around them have evidence for holding water in and settling the tightness and flaking that come with a damaged barrier.

Source: DermNet

Humectants and emollients

Ingredients like these draw water into the surface layers and slow how fast it leaves. The evidence is for comfort, softness and hydration rather than for changing the structure of the skin.

Peptides

Peptides are short protein fragments meant to signal repair. The evidence for them is thinner than for retinoids or vitamin C, and it varies a lot by the specific peptide, so the category is more promising than proven.
