This OS-01 peptide really kind of helps to eliminate senescent cells, which are those zombie cells that create oxidative stress. So it helps to, it's not like it exfoliates, but it helps to rid your skin of those damaged cells, which then continues to damage the skin cells around it. So it's great in protecting that skin barrier, and it's great on top of an already active ingredient. Would I argue that this is an active ingredient? I would, but it's not enough. You can do both. It's a great way to spread out that product of a retinoid."

This company has been founded by PhDs and has studies backing up their peptide that will clear senescent cells that are no longer dividing, not adding much to your anti-aging game. It's actually causing more inflammation and damaging our collagen. So if we clear those cells out, we can have collagen production at a more efficient rate. I like this one a lot for my mature users. It does come out as a thicker texture. It's nice to seal in your vitamin C serum or your retinoid and it will help boost your collagen. So it is a higher price point, but very nice, very nourishing. "I really haven't used anything like this before in terms of the technology that this contains. This really is next level in skincare technology. This is scientifically proven to get to the root cause of skin aging. This has a senescence blocking peptide that helps to get to that root cause of aging. So it's going to help stimulate collagen. "What first caught my attention on this brand is the publication on this peptide in reputable scientific journals and I found it really fascinating and I started using it and then I just fell in love with the texture. I've been using it for 6 months now and definitely have noticed a better quality to my skin barrier. What is in this product is the OS-01 peptide which is a very unique peptide that basically cleans out the old senescent cells. As we age in all of our organs we have cells that basically don't work as well, they get older and also cells that get damaged and kind of build up and that buildup of older damaged cells contributes to aging. In the skin it's the same concept where you have damaged collagen and elastin that build up and that contributes to the loss of elasticity, the creepy skin, fine lines and wrinkles. So this peptide essentially goes in and kind of cleans out the old senescent cells, improves skin turnover and then indirectly promotes collagen and elastin production at the same time improving the integrity of our skin barrier and skin barrier health so our overall skin quality is better and the appearance of our skin looks better as well. In addition it also contains plant-derived oils that have antioxidant nourishing benefits along with niacinamide as well as azelaic acid and hyaluronic acid. I really love the creamy texture of the serum."
