What the gurus are saying

The OS-01 peptide, OneSkin's proprietary active, earns consistent praise for targeting senescent cells and supporting collagen production, with gurus noting visible improvements in skin firmness, elasticity, and overall quality within weeks. The main split: most experts love the science and results, though a few find the price steep for what amounts to a niacinamide moisturizer, and it may not suit acne-prone or very sensitive skin. Best applied as a serum step over water-based products rather than as a standalone moisturizer.

"I like peptide moisturizers for those in their late thirties and up. Some that come to mind would be One Skin, their OS1 peptide face supplement."

Things I Actually Do for Anti-Aging (Dermatologist Routine)
"OneSkin has done a good job with their science-backed OS-01 peptide."
Best Facial Moisturizers of 2025
"OneSkin OS-01 Face Topical Supplement has the OS1 peptide. This company has been founded by PhDs and has studies backing up their peptide that will clear senescent cells that are no longer dividing, not adding much to your anti-aging game. It's actually causing more inflammation and damaging our collagen. So if we clear those cells out, we can have collagen production at a more efficient rate. I like this one a lot for my mature users. It does come out as a thicker texture. It's nice to seal in your vitamin C serum or your retinoid and it will help boost your collagen. So it is a higher price point, but very nice, very nourishing. I like the texture."
Top Skincare Products Worth The Splurge For A $500 Skincare Routine!
"One Skin brand, I discovered this year, great sunscreens they have a body moisturizer with their OS-01 peptide, but their face topical supplement sports their OS-01 peptide which is backed by science. I saw the paper, is evidence this company is founded by PhDs. This peptide they found has helped clear out old senescent cells that are no longer regenerating and thus make way for youthful cells to help regenerate and increase collagen production and tell your dermis to wake up and thicken itself up with more collagen. So the OneSkin face is a nice ingredient to apply after your actives like retinoids or if you wanted to apply that after your vitamin C serum or after your ptox, go right ahead. And this is a great way to end your nighttime routine. This though is $120 for a 1.7 fluid ounce product so just keep that in mind that it is pricey."
Dermatologist Explains: How to Treat Neck Wrinkles and Tech Lines
"OneSkin has a proprietary OS-01 peptide that helps clear out the old cells that don't regenerate and it helps reverse biological age. OneSkin has been founded by PhDs and they do have papers that support their peptide that pretty much tell your skin cells to make more collagen, which is great. It's a little bit pricey but I like that there's evidence behind this."
Skincare Secrets to Manage Crepey Skin from a Dermatologist
"One skin being a nice one with the OS-01 peptide that has been shown to clear out the old non-regenerating cells out and helps stimulate collagen production. [...] Those peptides will be a cell signal to tell your skin to make more collagen which is excellent. [...] I would recommend those products. The One Skin you want to look for body, I have eye and face right here but I also have body somewhere, but [...] you can use that over say your hyaluronic acid and that will help, and your peptide moisturizers will hopefully give you long-term benefits."
Fine Lines, Clogged Pores & Dandruff: What Dermatologists Really Recommend
"One Skin, which is a higher price point, but a lot of studies backing up their OS one peptide."
Dermatologist Explains: Anti-Aging Skincare Routine By Age
"The one that has great science, I was able to look through the papers is OneSkin. So their face supplement, they have a sunscreen, but they also have just a face moisturizer and a body moisturizer. So that's something you can consider to actually reverse the biological age of your skin, but you're paying for it. But I love that the PhDs that founded the company have sent me studies. I was able to look through the studies and I like the products and so I use their sunscreen and their moisturizers quite a bit."
Retinoid Irritation Explained by a Dermatologist | Skin Barrier Adaptation Science
"Here's the OS-01 peptide by OneSkin. This is a face supplement just to seal it all in and get a little bit of a collagen boost. Remove those old senescent cells. We talked about zombie cells where you have cells that are just party poopers that came to the party and aren't really having fun. They're just taking up space. They're not dividing. They're not increasing collagen or fibroblast activity. They might even be spewing negativity at the party being party poopers and a bunch of Eeyores by releasing inflammatory cytokines and damaging our collagen. So what the OS-01 peptide does, it helps clear those out."
How to Upgrade your Nighttime Skincare Routine!
"OneSkin with their proprietary OS1 peptide, their face supplement moisturizer has been really nice and I like that brand a lot. They're great products, great sunscreen and great moisturizers that will help boost collagen production and clear out the cells that are just not regenerating anymore. Peptides are a really nice addition to your nighttime skincare routine after your retinol because you're just going to both work on increasing collagen and helping with those fine lines and wrinkles, improve elasticity in your face, especially if you're noticing sagging or crepiness in other areas."
Discover How You're Aging Your Skin & Ways To Turn Back The Clock
"The brand that I discovered in 2024 that has impressed me is OneSkin. So their face supplement, very nice, and it has their proprietary OS-01 peptide. It has studies backing it that will help with your biological age and clear out senescent non-regenerating cells. I've been impressed by this brand."

Skincare Mistakes and Trends of the Year
"I'm really liking peptides in my skin care so we can simplify our routine. OneSkin has a science-backed OS-01 peptide in their eye cream, their body and facial moisturizers, their sunscreens. [...] I love that they have transparent studies behind that peptide and cell signaling clearing out old non-regenerating cells and making way for regenerating cells so you can actually improve your biological age of the skin. That's really cool but you're paying for it."
Peptide Moisturizers Explained- How They Fight Wrinkles and ‘Zombie’ Skin Cells
"If you look at senescent therapies, these senescent cells, and you want to clear them out, the one I've talked about the most would be the OneSkin OS-01 peptide. This brand has been founded by PhDs. I got to see the data and it's very impressive."

"I think OneSkin Face Lotion is a hundred dollar niacinamide containing lotion for the face. What is there about that that is any different from any of the thousands of niacinamide containing moisturizers on the market that you can get for twenty bucks, fifteen bucks, five bucks, at any drugstore or Target? I just think it's all marketing essentially. I would not go for that."

"This is where I don't go anywhere without this, hands down in my opinion the best moisturizer on the planet. Why? Because it has an active ingredient in it as well. It has that peptide, the OS1 peptide that helps to decrease those senescent cells, those zombie cells, those cells that are like dying. They're in the process of dying and we want to speed them up so we get the good stuff, the rest of the skin care where it wants to go. This is the body version of this. And I always, this is my main moisturizer that I use on my body after all of my other actives."

Microneedling Q&A Seriously, ask me anything
"I'm a big fan of that OneSkin. Huge fan. That's the skin care that uses that OS-01 peptide that helps to rid the body of senescent cells. It clears the way for those skin cells that you want to receive all of those good peptides and all of that good skin care, like, okay, let's prioritize who we're getting it to, we'll clear out all the ones that are dying. I do micro needle the back of the thighs too, and [...] I will absolutely micro needle the butt, the back of the thighs."

"I'm putting on One Skin. This is an OS-01 peptide. I am obsessed with this. And the reason is because, well, number one, it changed my skin. It really did. I put little dots everywhere, rub this around a little bit, and then press it into the skin."

"This is OneSkin, which is an OS-01 peptide. I did a whole show on peptides and how they're kind of like the text messengers of our body. They tell us what to do. This OS-01 peptide really kind of helps to eliminate senescent cells, which are those zombie cells that create oxidative stress. So it helps to, it's not like it exfoliates, but it helps to rid your skin of those damaged cells, which then continues to damage the skin cells around it. So it's great in protecting that skin barrier, and it's great on top of an already active ingredient. Would I argue that this is an active ingredient? I would, but it's not enough. You can do both. It's a great way to spread out that product of a retinoid."

"I'm obsessed with this brand, OneSkin, because the way that it's working, I swear it's repaired my skin barrier on my neck. It's a moisturizer and yes it's a peptide and so it does some sort of heavy lifting in terms of senescent cells and zombie cells without the irritation of exfoliation from retinoids. But it's not an active ingredient that is, you're done, that's all you need right."

"I'm now also loving OneSkin which I'm using on my neck and I feel like it's building back my skin barrier because my neck is overly sensitive from a lot of retinoids and stuff that I've done over the years. This is a peptide, it's OS-01 that works with senescent cells, those zombie cells that have oxidative stress and are just sitting there causing damage. This helps alleviate that. When you use a retinoid you're exfoliating, so it's helping with all those dead skin cells and zombie cells. If you're somebody that is hypersensitive or like me, you've got areas on your body that are really sensitive to retinoids, I'm loving this. I just finished the whole body one. They make a body one and it's using a peptide."

"I'm loving this as a moisturizer. And I don't use this as a moisturizer without an active ingredient on first. This is the OneSkin OS-01 peptide. How this works, think about it like fasting for your skin. It helps with those senescent cells, those zombie cells. So when your skin is dying, you've got these dying cells and sometimes just like zombie cells within your body, they get pissed off and cause oxidative stress and bump into everything else and then everything just goes downhill. This cream actually is a peptide that helps. It's like exfoliating all the dead stuff off without actually chemically exfoliating. It's a text message to your cells saying, 'Okay, you're dead. Let's go.' As opposed to chemically stripping them off or with abrasive stuff like a laser or CO2 laser, mechanically stripping them off. So it does neither. It's neither chemically stripping them off or mechanically stripping the dead skin cells off. It is a peptide. So it is relaying the information to your skin cells saying, you know what, if you're a zombie cell, if you're senescent, let's get rid of that. That's what it's doing."
Is your skincare stash overflowing with expired serums and half used bottles? 🧴 🚨 You wouldn’t
"My favorite now moisturizer is the OneSkin OS-01 peptide. It's literally helped to rebuild the skin barrier on my neck. Because our neck skin is very different than our body skin or our face skin, right? It doesn't secrete oil. It secretes water. Our face secretes oil. So I have over the years, when I was perimenopausal, kept doing my same skincare routine, and without the moisture that happens with the estrogen drop, all of a sudden you eat up your skin barrier. This type of moisturizer has really helped."

"One Skin is an OS1 peptide, the longevity peptide, that diminishes and gets rid of senescent, or zombie, cells. Those cells with oxidative stress cause irritation and inflammation to everything around them, so it's important to clear them out before adding other products, otherwise you're feeding a dying cell instead of getting product to the cells that need it. It's a combination of a cream and a serum, and it doesn't follow normal layering rules, you want it on first, right after washing your face, both morning and night. I tap and press it in and let it soak for about two minutes before adding other peptides on top. It's a waste to use it as a moisturizer on top of everything else, the closer it is to the skin the better."
Your neck is snitching on you
"This is by OneSkin, a peptide called OS-01. I put this on first on the neck to get rid of the senescent cells, the zombie cells that are about to die. I do this at night, then follow with a retinoid, then a barrier cream, sandwiching the retinoid in between so it does not dry out or irritate the neck."

"One skin, their line has an amazing peptide that also addresses senescent cells. Lines like these are focusing on improving how skin cells behave, not just how skin looks. This is very aligned with longevity science."

"I really haven't used anything like this before in terms of the technology that this contains. This really is next level in skincare technology. This is scientifically proven to get to the root cause of skin aging. This has a senescence blocking peptide that helps to get to that root cause of aging. So it's going to help stimulate collagen. It's going to help with elasticity, softening, and preventing fine lines and wrinkles and just giving more of that rejuvenated look and feel to the skin. When you're consistent with this, like within a week to two weeks, you really notice that your skin does look more rejuvenated. It looks brighter. It just looks really healthy. This [...] is very nourishing. It just feels so comforting on the skin and it does help to repair your skin. Whether your skin barrier is compromised or not, this is great to use on an everyday basis to keep your skin nice and healthy and repaired. It has hyaluronic acid, niacinamide, and allantoin. The anti-aging technology that this contains is something that I've never tried before. It's going to be great for fine lines and all of that good stuff. A great preventative product to use."

SEPTEMBER BEAUTY FAVORITES 2025 | SKINCARE & HAIRCARE I’M LOVING!
"This is the topical supplement for the face. Now, this is very different, very unique, next level in skin care technology. Honestly, this is very advanced and it's actually scientifically proven to get to the root cause of skin aging where this is going to help give more of that youthful healthy complexion. This has a senescence blocking peptide technology that will help to get to the root cause of skin aging, is going to keep the skin nice and healthy and juicy and helping to prevent signs of aging. This is also going to help stimulate collagen, improving epidermal thickness. It's also going to be super hydrating on the skin and it is like this is really really moisturizing on the skin. So, if you have dry skin, sensitive skin, you're in for a treat. But this is honestly great for all skin types. It's also fragrance free. This also has hyaluronic acid, allantoin, there is niacinamide in here. This also has anti-inflammatory properties to it to help calm and soothe the skin."

"The OS1 topical supplement with their proprietary peptide blend seems to do something that no other topical skincare product does. I will keep it in my skincare wardrobe. It will be on repeat purchase, but it is a bougie product, so I'm going to introduce it on occasion just when I feel like my skin needs a boost. This is a beautiful topical serum and supplement if you want to get your skin to behave and look younger and firmer."

4 NEW and Exciting Updates to My Mature Anti- Aging Skincare Routine at 58 years old!
"Moving on to the next steps in my skincare routine, the OS-01 peptide. I'm at the very end so I've opened it up and I'm going to use a little bit of this now. Early on when I was starting this routine I would use the anti-pigmentation formula first, but they really want you to use the OS-01 peptide directly on clean skin, so I've kind of switched that up. They say if you're using like a watery serum you can put the OS-01 peptide after and then move on with the rest of your skincare routine. But I currently don't have any other serums that are kind of on the watery side except my Lancôme toner, which I'll occasionally pop into my evening skincare routine as well. If I were to use anything before the OS-01, it would be something light, something water-based, and a very thin serum."
Red Light Therapy: Updates YOU NEED TO KNOW! for Your Mature Over 50 Skin
"OneSkin has their OS-01 peptide, which is supposed to help with senescent cells and the cells that are dying, and the ones that are adjacent to it, it's supposed to protect them. There's some really amazing science around it. It takes me about three pumps and I've been trying it for I think this is my fifth week, maybe heading into my sixth week. The thing that you have to know about this: number one, it's frightfully expensive. I was applying this wrong when I first started using it. I was using it as a moisturizer, but you need to think of this more as a serum step or a treatment step. It's just a little bit thicker, so use all your watery serums first, then use this serum right after your watery serums."
Get RID OF SUN SPOTS (New Fall Anti-Aging OVER 50 Skincare Routine)
"I'm using the OneSkin moisturizer if I'm doing an evening where I'm doing my exfoliation treatment by dermal I also put this moisturizer on over it but I let it dry down a bit. This is the same formula that I'm using in the morning and the way they recommend using it is twice a day so I can see if there's an actual difference in a couple months using the formula as recommended."

Did My Fall Skincare Routine Work? Best Skin of Your Life Check-In
"After my vitamin C, I've been using a skincare supplement. It's a topical supplement by OneSkin. This is the only product I know that calls itself a supplement and it's not a serum, it's not a moisturizer, it's kind of an in between. The idea is this peptide goes deep into the skin, actually helps reduce senescent cells, those skin cells that are dying off. It reduces sort of the cascade of inflammation that happens when cells die, sort of tamps that down so that you have more youthful skin, skin that can repair itself from the inside out. I was so skeptical about this product when it came out about three years ago. The price, I was like no way. How can a peptide, which at the time I thought oh peptides, you know, they help moisturize the skin, they're a string of amino acids. I got that. All the peptides that I tried, the copper peptides that I've tried, the individual peptides that I tried, they were nice, they were moisturizing or they did nothing. So I was like, you know, this is pretty expensive and pretty a big gamble for something that I'm just not that sure about. But recently I've been looking at some before and afters. You guys have been bringing this to my attention that it's made a huge difference in your skin. Again, I was super skeptical."

It's got that just that consistency that I like the thickness. It's just it's it's everything that I wanted in in a cream."

"I've been testing these OneSkin products for three or four months and I'm calling it quits, not because I don't like them but because I don't think they're ideal for my skin type, which is acne prone and sensitive. Looking at their funded studies, the research was well designed, but I ended up feeling like it might just show that good moisturizing ingredients work well rather than that their OS01 peptide specifically is amazing. My bottom line is I don't think these are bad products, I actually think they're well made, I appreciate that they're fragrance free, and I like peptides, but I don't think I'm the target audience, so these are out for me."
~Yay
"I grabbed the OneSkin OS-01 Face Topical Supplement. This is a moisturizer I've been enjoying a lot lately. And if you're not familiar with OneSkin, they're kind of like a biotech skin care company hybrid that's based here in the Bay Area. They have a proprietary peptide that helps with cellular aging and basically helps stop the aging signaling that happens between your cells. So, a very unique peptide that is not offered in other skincare, which is why I wanted to give you an option to incorporate it into your anti-aging routine. But you can see it's lightweight. You could use this morning or night. They probably recommend that you use it morning and night, but a very lovely option."
~Yay
"What first caught my attention on this brand is the publication on this peptide in reputable scientific journals and I found it really fascinating and I started using it and then I just fell in love with the texture. I've been using it for 6 months now and definitely have noticed a better quality to my skin barrier. What is in this product is the OS-01 peptide which is a very unique peptide that basically cleans out the old senescent cells. As we age in all of our organs we have cells that basically don't work as well, they get older and also cells that get damaged and kind of build up and that buildup of older damaged cells contributes to aging. [...] In the skin it's the same concept where you have damaged collagen and elastin that build up and that contributes to the loss of elasticity, the creepy skin, fine lines and wrinkles. So this peptide essentially goes in and kind of cleans out the old senescent cells, improves skin turnover and then indirectly promotes collagen and elastin production at the same time improving the integrity of our skin barrier and skin barrier health so our overall skin quality is better and the appearance of our skin looks better as well. In addition it also contains plant-derived oils that have antioxidant nourishing benefits along with niacinamide as well as azelaic acid and hyaluronic acid. I really love the creamy texture of the serum."
~Mixed
"OneSkin's OS-01 claims to reverse the signs of aging by disabling damaged skin cells, which is borderline a drug claim because it structurally changes the skin, which cosmetics isn't supposed to do. I am skeptical when it comes to high price skincare, and I think your best bet to age healthier or preserve the health of your skin while aging is to wear sunscreen, moisturize regularly, and make healthy lifestyle choices. But I am willing to give it a go, because I've lost quite a bit of weight over the last year and a half, so if anything could make the skin on my body reverse age, that would be much appreciated."
~Mixed
"I've used OneSkin's face supplement for years. I once stopped using it for about seven months just to test other things, and that didn't go very well, so I ended up going back on it. Now with the new import charges pushing the price way up, I'm going to try to go without it for a while, but I wouldn't bet against myself caving within the next year."

I Didn’t Repurchase Most of These
"While we're still on OneSkin, I better talk about the face supplement. This has been a more interesting journey for me because unlike the body, the results here were a little bit more subtle. At one point I deliberately stopped using it, in fact I think it was for my last empties video, to see if I noticed the absence of this in my routine. Well, I did. My skin looked slightly duller, less resilient somehow. Nothing dramatic, but enough that I noticed. So this quietly worked its way back into my constant rotation. Now, I don't use this as a moisturizer, which is what I think it was intended for. For me it works much better layered as a peptide serum underneath richer products. For example, my Dew, I would put that underneath this. So for me that's actually been the sweet spot. This one has now survived the testing phase, and that actually says a lot."
Over 50: I Don’t Rebuy Everything I Love
"The OneSkin OS-01 Face Topical Supplement is built as a moisturizer, but for me, it's not moisturizing enough that I can use it that way. I've always used that more as a peptide serum and then layered something richer on top. [...] I've used this consistently for 8 months. I [...] finished it and I'm not repurchasing it immediately. I want to see if I miss it. If my skin starts to look duller or less resilient, I think I'll know. So, this is not rejection. This is just another form of testing."
❤️ My Beauty Empties | Here's What Made the Cut!
"OS1 is their proprietary peptide that has been proven to reduce skin's biological age and it does so by targeting aging cells. This is my second bottle and to be honest, I'm a little afraid to stop using it. I have repurchased it and I have a backup."
☀️ Summer Skincare That Actually Works UPDATED!
"This is the OneSkin OS1 face supplement, and it's probably the most questioned or misunderstood of my steps. It's powered by their proprietary OS1 peptide, which is proven in studies to reduce skin's biological age by targeting aging cells called senescent cells, and they actually accelerate the aging process. But this takes care of that and say bye-bye zombie cells. So this is actually science-backed longevity care. I have talked about this peptide for almost two years, and this has been in my morning routine for almost a year now, and it is staying there. I'm actually a little afraid to stop using it. But on its own, I don't feel that it's hydrating enough for my skin. So I treat this as my last active serum as opposed to my moisturizer. This is the last thing I do before I seal everything in."

❄️ Morning Winter Skincare Routine for Mature, Hydrated, Glowing Skin
"It has a peptide that slows down the aging process by neutralizing senescent cells, which are also known as zombie cells. They're like these little destructors that degrade the healthy cells around them. We get more of these as we age. Now it also includes peptides which helps the younger cells multiply, which then builds collagen, it strengthens the barrier and it restores skin health. I've only been using this product for a short while now so we're just still waiting to see how it goes. Their instructions are to use this directly on dry skin, so usually I would do hydrating layers first and then I would put this on in my sort of serum phase, but I'm following the instructions and I'm putting this on first and then I let it sink in for a minute or two before I go on with the rest of my routine. Don't forget the neck, I think a lot of people forget about the neck and decolletage. We should treat this all as one unit. I always apply all of my products to face, neck and chest."

⭐️ Skincare Must-Haves | Can't Live Without | with Aging Naturally with Jodylynn
"I can't live without my one skin. This is their face serum and I use this as a serum. I don't use this as a lotion, however it does come out looking like a lotion. It's very lightweight but I use this and then I put on a lotion on top and I don't get pilling and stuff. But it, I love my one skin and when I stop my one skin I totally know a difference."
🛍️ From PR to Impulse Buys — ALL the Goodies!
"The next are three products that I just adore. All of them are by OneSkin. There's the face supplement, the eye supplement, and the body supplement. I use each of these products every single day. I mean, this makes me so happy to get this in PR."

✨ OneSkin Review | OS-01 Peptide That Changed My Routine ✨
"This is all about improving barrier function, the tone of our skin, the radiance and also the firmness. Now for me personally, this isn't hydrating enough to use as my only moisturizer, which is its intention. I tend to just add a separate moisturizer on top. However, this could be the perfect moisturizer for most people. I just personally prefer something thicker. Beyond the OS1 peptide, these formulas are also packed with skin care heroes like niacinamide for brightening and barrier support, hyaluronic acid and squalane for hydration and plumping, as well as ceramides to kind of lock everything else in. They're fragrance free, cruelty-free, and purely focus on improving skin health. [...] Their studies were based on using these products twice a day. I only use them once because they're expensive. But even only using these once a day, I have seen incredible results."
I Can't Buy American Products Anymore
"I've used OneSkin's face supplement for years. I once stopped using it for about seven months just to test other things, and that didn't go very well, so I ended up going back on it. Now with the new import charges pushing the price way up, I'm going to try to go without it for a while, but I wouldn't bet against myself caving within the next year."

"I fell in love with the brand One Skin. There's a peptide in here that's patented. My skin was so happy when I was using this consistently. My skin just looked more bouncy and just overall healthy and it improved in many many ways when this was in my routine consistently. I really love this moisturizer and I'm looking to replenish it because I really loved the results that I saw."

My May 2024 Favorites 😍
"It has peptides, it has ceramides, it's supposed to give you visibly firmer, lifted, and smoother skin, and I swear my skin's loving whatever is happening here. This is like the first step and this is like the last step unless I'm using a face oil at night. Obsessed, love these so much."
The BEST Makeup & Skincare from June 2024!! 😍
"I read that they target aging at a cellular level and I was like, okay, I need to try this. Their special peptide in here was intriguing. I immediately started using it after receiving it, and this has become like my daily moisturizer. I love the texture. My skin just looks healthy, more plump, more hydrated, more youthful. I'm only 30, so I don't know if I would have noticed a huge difference in wrinkles yet, but overall my skin just looks really healthy. I've been using this morning and night very consistently, and I'm loving it. It's really really nice."

What the evidence says.

Independent of what the gurus think, this is what the published research supports about the main active ingredients here.

Niacinamide

Niacinamide has evidence behind it for redness, uneven tone and supporting the skin barrier, and it is usually well tolerated even by skin that reacts to most things.

Humectants and emollients

Ingredients like these draw water into the surface layers and slow how fast it leaves. The evidence is for comfort, softness and hydration rather than for changing the structure of the skin.

Vitamin E

Vitamin E is an antioxidant, and it is often in a formula to keep the other ingredients stable rather than as the active itself. It pairs well with vitamin C, though on its own the evidence for visible change is limited.
