"The lack of transparency I think is disappointing because they've got that 24 on the front but I asked them and they didn't say what the actual percentage of vitamin C you're getting in this. However, the formulation is pretty good. The use of vitamin C and peptides is hotly contested in skincare, but you can absolutely use peptides alongside vitamin C and they actually work fine. Some people will say you shouldn't because the low pH of vitamin C can impact the function of those peptides, but this has been disproven many times. This serum is a great option if you're looking for vitamin C and peptides all together where the brand has put in the research to make sure it's okay to use them together in that formulation. It comes in around £40 in the UK though it always seems to be on offer, usually half price, which I think signifies that the brand really know this should be priced at £20 but they're chancing their arm."

"It's 46.49 for two bottles, which seems pretty steep, since Olay is always a little on the pricey side in my opinion. It has lactic acid, which can help soften and hydrate the skin and gently exfoliate, vitamin C in the form of ethyl ascorbic acid, which is an antioxidant, and niacinamide, which is good for hyperpigmentation. It does have fragrance, which can be irritating. I like that serum."

"The vitamin C in the Olay Vitamin C Peptide 24 Serum is 3-O ethyl ascorbic acid, a stable form of ascorbic acid, not very well studied in terms of doing anything, and there are case reports of people developing an allergy to it. That's not going to be everybody, and it's not something you should go out of your way to avoid, nor should you go out of your way to necessarily incorporate into your routine, but it's there. It may help with fading hyperpigmentation, but it's not as research backed as ascorbic acid, though it's easier to work with in formulation. It also has lactic acid, which can really help soften dry skin and help with fading discoloration and brightening skin tone, and peptides, which can help with more moisture retention."
