The Night Repair one is fragrance free and the non-night one has fragrance, which is kind of like the main difference between the two. "I put this through the test and got zero irritation with it, didn't get any excessive peeling, flaking, redness. Found it to be quite nice and pleasant to use. And I did get a softening of dry, rough skin texture, skin smoothing. It's probably pretty much of a lightweight. It's not going to be an intense peel for you most likely. Olay is really in the niacinamide streets because they're one of the first brands to really lean into niacinamide. Niacinamide is really good for moisturizing the skin. It's a B vitamin. It's an antioxidant. So it does have anti-aging benefits in that regard to help combat the destruction of proteins, lipids, DNA upon exposure to environmental aggressors like ultraviolet radiation and pollution. But niacinamide also disrupts the transfer of melanin pigment from melanocytes to the surrounding keratinocytes. In other words, it's a great ingredient for dark spots. It's soothing. Its anti-inflammatory properties make it beneficial for redness."

"Basically it's a serum that's aimed at improving the appearance of skin texture, dark spots, fine lines. It has peptides in it, which are hydrating, niacinamide, which we've mentioned numerous times in this video already. It also has lactic acid that can hydrate and soften and smooth the skin. And they snuck in 3-O ethyl ascorbic acid, that's a stable form of vitamin C that may help cut down oxidative stress, but is not evidence based for like getting in the skin and boosting up collagen, so if you were thinking it did that, stay tuned, we don't have research in that regard. "This is new from Olay, this Super Serum, and it has one of my favorite antioxidants, niacinamide. Not only is it an antioxidant but it's anti-inflammatory, and it does a lot of other things in the skin that can yield benefit. It can help reduce redness, it can help lighten dark spots because it helps to reduce the transfer of pigment packets from the pigment-producing cells, melanocytes, to neighboring keratinocytes. It also helps with the lipids in the top layer of the skin, helping with the moisture barrier. It reduces oxidation of lipids that would otherwise lead to an inflammatory cascade, and for those of you who have acne, it can help slow down the oxidation of sebum and maybe help with acne breakouts. This has a few other antioxidants in it though. It has 3-O ethyl ascorbic acid, vitamin C or a stabilized derivative of vitamin C. Ascorbic acid has been shown to help with lightening hyperpigmentation and it also has been shown to help improve collagen production and reduce oxidative stress upon exposure to UV rays. [...] In this case we're getting 3-O ethyl ascorbic acid, that's a stable derivative, which is important because ascorbic acid by itself is not very stable."

"The Olay Super Serum has a night version that's fragrance-free. This one has fragrance in it, but it's a hydrating formula that also has some ingredients that are good for overall complexion, dark spots, and redness, namely niacinamide and the alpha hydroxy acid, which can help improve skin smoothness. Vitamin C and vitamin E are antioxidants. It also has tea leaf extract along with niacinamide, so the tea leaf extract is also going to be helpful for warding off free radicals potentially."
