"One of those classic drugstore moisturizers that continues to hold up, especially in your 30s and 40s when you're starting to focus more on firmness and early signs of aging. It's a little bit richer cream, so I like this more for normal to dry skin. What makes this one really stand out is that it's now formulated with a triple collagen peptide complex, which is going to help support your skin structure and improve the look of firmness and smoothness over time. I think this is a great option if your skin is starting to feel a little less firm or if you're noticing more visible lines. The key ingredients here are triple collagen peptides, niacinamide, and hyaluronic acid."

Drugstore Moisturizers That Actually Work, According to a Dermatologist
"My recommendation for best overall drugstore anti-aging moisturizer is going to be Olay Regenerist Micro-Sculpting Cream. This is one of the most widely used anti-aging moisturizers available at the drugstore, and it contains ingredients that help support hydration and collagen production. It improves hydration and skin elasticity. It also helps smooth the appearance of fine lines. It has a really rich texture that still absorbs pretty well. It's a really good option for normal and dry skin, and it comes in both fragrance and fragrance-free versions. The key ingredients are collagen peptide, hyaluronic acid, niacinamide, and amino peptide."

"It's really touted as just like a great everyday moisturizer. You can use it in the morning, you can use it in the evening, you could use it at both. It doesn't have any unique peptides or retinol or anything that makes it specifically anti-aging, though it does have niacinamide which can help with brightening of the skin and can help with barrier strength. And the reality is it can be anti-aging in terms of appearance if your skin just looks really well moisturized. I know for people as they get older, they don't hold on to as much oil in their skin. They really struggle with their skin looking as plump and firm and youthful. And having a great just really solid moisturizer in your routine can help. This cream has also been shown to offer 24 hours of hydration. So for those drier skinned people out there, $36, not bad."

"Olay Micro-Sculpting Cream, this stuff is like great. If you use a moisturizer over the top of your retinoid, I really like this one by Olay. Olay has been doing this a long time, and this helps to kind of lift and tighten the skin."

"My thicker night moisturizer is now elf holy hydration the fragrance-free version. This is very similar to the one that I've used for years and years, which is the Olay Micro-Sculpting Cream, the green tea version in the lavender jar. I do still love that one, but this one has just edged it out a little bit."

"The salicylic acid in this is going to help soften and exfoliate the excessive scale on the top of the skin. This has olive fruit oil in it which may have antioxidants in it. This product actually has ascorbic acid in it. You always have to question ascorbic acid because it's not stable, so manufacturers have to do stuff to stabilize it. Things like adding ferulic acid and or vitamin E can help, and the packaging helps. There's the issue with penetration, it has to be the right pH and the right concentration, but this is actually a pretty good drugstore option. It also has ceramides which are helpful for the moisture barrier. The ascorbic acid in this may actually be helpful for hyperpigmentation simply because it helps to inhibit tyrosinase, that plus niacinamide which works differently for hyperpigmentation is potentially a nice combination. The daytime version has niacinamide and then it also has the sunscreen in it to protect you from UV rays."
