What the gurus are saying

The experts who tested it found the formula tackles hyperpigmentation through multiple pathways at once, which matters because a single active often isn't enough. Those with stubborn dark spots or sunspots saw significant fading over months, though the serum works best on targeted areas rather than all-over dullness. The precise applicator makes it easy to apply sparingly to problem zones, and people may find one bottle lasts several months with spot treatment.

"This actually contains 14 different brightening and hyperpigmentation fighting ingredients, which I think is the most of any serum that I've ever found. So it definitely definitely delivers. And for me, what's really good about this is it works great as a spot treatment. Because of the size of the product and the texture, the application, I think it lends itself better to being a spot treatment rather than all over face serum. You could of course use it all over the face, but for me, where I think the value of this lies is where you have an area of localized hyperpigmentation. I have some sun damage here, which tends to fade completely in winter, but then reappears in summer like it always does. And I find the NIOD Re-Pigment really keeps it in check all summer long. It works best on those localized areas. So if you have any acne marks or scarring that you're looking to fade, this will be my recommendation."

NIOD SALE ANNOUNCED - Up To 50% Off 😱 (My NIOD Favourites)
"The tricky thing with hyperpigmentation is you can't just use one active ingredient to tackle it, you need a plethora of different ones and as a result you can end up with like five, six, seven different serums that you're trying to apply. So I've come to the conclusion with my own hyperpigmentation I'm best just reaching for a multiactive formulation that does it all in one, and hands down the best on the market is the NIOD Re-Pigment. It has 15 different mechanisms of reducing that hyperpigmentation and eradicating the excess pigment that's already been produced. When I first started using this I noticed about an 80 to 90% reduction in my hyperpigmentation after about 6 months, that trust me is gamechanging because normally you don't expect those results. This is why I am still absolutely devoted to this product. I now use it in a more targeted way because of the applicator which is very precise. I think this works best on individual dark marks and areas of discoloration. If you want an all over brightening and boost to radiance this probably won't be for you, but if you've got a couple of sunspots or you know blemishes that are just taking a little longer to fade than you'd like, I think this is where it comes into its own. I use it sparingly and just on targeted areas, one bottle of this will pretty much last me 12 months."

TOP 5 HYPERPIGMENTATION SERUMS 2023 - Glowing Skin Guaranteed
"I use this, I've got maybe three or four years ago and got great results with it. Definitely helped fade my hyperpigmentation, felt good on the skin, but it can trigger sensitivity. Because you only get a very small amount of the product, it's best for pinpoint work. It is a little bit more runny, so for me I actually prefer something in a more gel-like consistency, it's just easier to apply, but this is still a really well-formulated product that has 15 different ingredients in here that are going to get to grips with your hyperpigmentation. Proceed with caution if you have a sensitive skin type, and it's not going to be for people that want to be on a budget, it does cost quite a high price point, but I think that's reflected in the quality of the formulation."

"This one goes bad quicker than a lot of other products so you want to use it pretty quickly, so that's why I buy the smaller version of it. That one is well worth checking out in my humble opinion."

Best Brightening Products of 2024 - Top Products for Dark Spots, Hyperpigmentation, & Melasma
"This one's got some different ingredients than the other ones so we've got fermented shiitake extract which is known for its brightening, we've got an ascic acid derivative, potassium, oil di ginate, we've got the Genow white peptide, we've got the Tetrapeptide 30, the B white peptide and then Brightol. So it's got a lot of good ingredients in here that aren't in any of these other ones. If you tried other brightening products and maybe weren't overly impressed, this one might be worth trying because it contains a lot of other ingredients that aren't shown in a lot of other products. So it might be worth trying because maybe your skin, it's not responding to try-amino acid, maybe that does nothing for you, but maybe some of the things in here might work a little bit better. It's worth a try."

"Re:Pigment is a brightening serum that fights hyperpigmentation with several ingredients. It's a nice water-based serum that smooths into skin. It has an azelaic acid derivative, Geno white peptide, the retino peptide 189 which is a retinol-like peptide, Bright Now peptide, and beta white peptide. The star of the show for this one is the white fermented shiitake, which is a very interesting ingredient. It's actually used as an eco-friendly way for factories and things like that to break down dyes and waste streams, so it's been used a lot in the textile industry."
