Cellular Hydration Barrier Repair Serum.

"The Murad Cellular Hydration Barrier Repair Serum claims to heal the skin barrier in just 30 minutes. It didn't do that, it didn't even heal my barrier in a month. It contains peptides and Salix alba extract which I'd usually enjoy, but it also contains limonene and linalool, two fragrant ingredients known to be irritants, and I don't think fragrance [...] belongs in skin healing and repairing products. What's even weirder is it doesn't even have a nice smell, it just smells like off tea. This is the worst barrier healing product in my opinion."

"This serum has a very simple ingredients list: glycerin, bilberry and avocado oil, a lactobacillus ferment postbiotic, willow extract, antioxidant ingredients, yeast amino acids, and urea, which is a well studied humectant that is wonderful for dry, especially flaky skin, a great ingredient I wish we saw in more skincare products. What I find really interesting is that they are highlighting the hexapeptide-9 ingredient, which is typically seen as more of an anti-aging ingredient. According to the manufacturer it helps with upregulating collagen 1 and collagen 3 production as well as helping to regenerate the skin as a whole, so this is a good example of why barrier care and anti-aging are two sides of the same coin."
