"Next up is the Medik8 Liquid Peptides, which is 60 bucks, so this ends up being $2 per milliliter, more expensive than The Ordinary. However, this one also has a really nice ingredient list. You can notice it's clear, there's no color to it because it uses a special kind of copper peptide which does not turn things blue. It's copper palm oil hexapeptide 14, also known as the X50 anti-aging peptide duo, two peptides that just don't have the copper from the copper peptides as much, so it has a clear shade. If you're big into the specific version of copper peptides, you're going to look for blue products, but it doesn't necessarily mean it doesn't have copper peptides in it. That X50 anti-aging peptide duo is known to promote collagen and elastin in skin. It's got the carnosine peptide, which doesn't look like a peptide on the ingredient list, but it is, and it's great for anti-aging. We've got the sinol peptide, the argolene peptide, and tigep 417 peptide for anti-aging."

"The Medik8 Liquid Peptides Advanced MP+ Serum is really quite nice for the most part. It's demethylone based and it's got matrixyl synthesis. It's got the crystallide peptide which is known for brightening skin up. It's got the sinol peptide, matrixel 3000, and the argolene botox in a bottle peptide. Fragrance-free, really nice. I would say more for dry or dehydrated skin types. If you have oilier skin, it might be a bit on the hydrating side."

"I think this one will do a ton for texture in skin. It will help plump it up, but in terms of long-term texture, you need something different for that. Vitamin C, retinol, azelaic acid, things like that can be more beneficial for the texture, but it does help when you apply it, the texture looks better, but it doesn't have any long-term effectiveness after you rinse it off. But I think if you try this one out and use it for at least 30 days straight, morning and evening, you will notice benefits. If you have texture issues, this certainly won't hurt, but you want something with a stronger ingredient depending on the texture. This one's going to be friendly for most skin types, including acne prone. For acne prone skin, we only have one ingredient note, and that's polysorbate 20. So pretty friendly for most skin types, with the exception of the most extremely sensitive skin because of that polyphenol alcohol. In terms of price, this is a full size 1 oz, 30 milliliters, it's 66 bucks, so it's a little pricey. I did get a beauty box so I didn't pay that much for it, but this bottle will last you a while. I've been using it morning and evening for about a month straight and I've gone through about a third of the bottle, so I'd say with morning and evening use it'll probably last you about two to three months. So it's not a bad deal. The texture of it, you don't have to use a lot for it to go a long way. In terms of the it factor, it's quite a nice serum. I love that. Works well for most skin types. It layers well for plump skin. Works great long term for wrinkles."

"My luxe pick is the Medik8 Liquid Peptides Advanced MP+, which is 94 bucks. I will say I haven't been enjoying this. I've got a couple of subscribers who didn't love this one, so keep that in mind. I've been testing it for about a month now, since I ordered it during the Black Friday sale. It's fragrance free, and it does contain a small amount of tbutoal alcohol. For peptides, it's got the carnosine peptide, which isn't in a lot of things but you'll see it occasionally. It's a peptide that fights glycation, which is responsible for aging. It's got the Matrixyl 3000 duo, the TGP-417 peptide, which helps with collagen and fibronectin production in your skin, and the X50 anti-aging peptide. It also has the crystalide peptide, which is a newer one, and I hadn't come across this one yet."

"Also finally in this mid-tier category is the Medik8 Liquid Peptides Advanced MP+. This is the one that I reach for the most. I just love this product. It launched I believe around the time of the Ordinary growth factors, so around 18 months ago. And I know so many people that have never skipped a day using this and are getting great results. I love the fact that you're getting a great blend of peptides in this. It's got a 30% concentration of peptides, which is super high. You've also got those growth factors added on in order to give us some next level benefits. The growth factors used in this are bioengineered to mimic those that are present in the skin, meaning you're going to get quick results, enhanced results. But I think when it comes to combining growth factors and peptides, this is actually the highest concentration I've ever seen on the skincare market of both, and that just means we're really going to be benefiting from a sky-high punch of both of these when we apply them to our skin. Medik8 are a fantastic brand, and this is one of my favorite products from one of my favorite brands. Again, this isn't the cheapest skincare product out there, but it's definitely mid price. I think I paid around £62 for this. So it's not going to be everyone's price point, but I think this is the closest you get in this mid-market category to the performance of the super expensive."

"It's up there in terms of price, but lots of brands have increased their prices recently and Medik8 haven't. I haven't noticed a price increase on Medik8 here in the UK for like two years, so what used to be considered quite a pricey brand is now a lot more, you gasp a lot less when you look at the price online. For the formulation, I think this is worth every single penny. I love this because you're not just relying on that azelaic acid line like you are with the Ordinary product, you're getting that dose alongside so many other peptides, which for me is something pretty special. Other peptides which aren't encapsulated tend not to like lower pH environments like with vitamin C, so you have to be a little bit more careful. The encapsulation surrounds the peptide and provides a little bit of a shield, it breaks apart as the encapsulation hits the skin, so it's a more delayed release and the peptides aren't impacted by what's already on the skin."

"Some of the ingredients in the Medik8 Liquid Peptides Advanced MP+ Serum actually encourage the body to increase its own rate of hyaluronic acid production, which is great because obviously you're not going to be sensitive to something that the body is naturally producing in the same way that you could be with something that's applied topically to the skin. So I think this is a nice, innovative way of getting a little extra hydration, hyaluronic acid plumping in your life without just having to have it in a serum. All told, very impressed with the formulation. The texture was beautiful and lightweight, not too thick or sticky like some peptides can be. And I like the price point. Is it the cheapest product on the market? Absolutely not. But in comparison to the original Liquid Peptides, which I already loved, this is streaks ahead in terms of formulation for around 5 more. For that, ding ding ding, holy grail in terms of that price, I think. So how did it work for me? I've been using this for between 3 and 4 weeks, which is certainly enough to be able to substantiate some of the claims the brand make around those quick wins, but in the long term you're probably going to have to use a product like this for upwards of 6 months to really see those long term pro-collagen anti-aging benefits, so set your expectations. The brand claimed that this will minimize the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles just 10 minutes after application. Now this had me interested because I'm all for a quick win, and a lot of products make these sort of claims without really ever delivering the benefit. So I applied it as a skeptic, and let me tell you, this genuinely works."

"This is their Liquid Peptides, I love it. It's got copper peptides in here, it's got other peptides, it's got some hydrators, it's actually a blend, so it's got a 30% peptide complex within here, which is fairly high concentration, and you get great results. Would I repurchase it? So I do love it, but I'm also mindful that the cost of this is quite high, and with the cost of everything just generally in life being quite expensive, if we can cut the cost why wouldn't we. "The Medik8 Liquid Peptides Advanced MP Serum is very expensive, 100 euros for 30ml is a lot, and it did not magically make her deep wrinkles disappear within the two months she used it. But it has quickly become a favourite of hers. The serum is milky white and quite runny, easy to spread and very lightweight, so great for layering, with a faint nutty warm scent. There was minimal tackiness for about a minute after application before it fully absorbed, leaving skin feeling very smooth. It offers some hydration, less than a moisturiser but enough to plump up the skin, which combined with the dimethicone smoothens fine lines. The peptide complex reads like the who's who of peptides targeting signs of aging, and both the drone delivery and the dual mini proteins used are an interesting development, not groundbreaking, but great for someone who likes to step up their basics with more experimental stuff. Given that Medik8 does its own studies and tries to integrate new things into their product development, she feels the price is justified, though she acknowledges it's more than most people have in their skincare budget and that there are other nice peptide serums out there for a fraction of the price.
