"If there are two things that I think are the biggest scams of the entire industry it is La Mer and eye creams. La Mer was created by an astrophysicist that didn't understand skincare. He burned his own hand in a lab and then six years later he's like this seaweed magically saved it. When he died Estée Lauder purchased it and they used like a psychic medical medium to summon him from the dead to share their magical formula. That video explains why they charge 400 for a little tiny sample cup of eye cream and why I think it is absolute trash. If there is ever a time to use La Mer eye cream it would be because it makes someone feel bougie, but otherwise for the rest of us who have skincare issues and want products that are actually going to work for us, La Mer in my personal subjective opinion and actually objective when you look at the ingredients list, it's Nivea plus seaweed. Stop. Especially for acne prone skin types I do not recommend it."
