What the gurus are saying

This toner earns consistent praise for plumping the skin and delivering visible bounce and smoothness through hydration alone, with reviewers particularly drawn to how quickly it absorbs and its versatility as both a first layer and essence-like product. The gurus who reviewed it found it especially kind to sensitive and reactive skin types. One note: it reads more like a rich, hydrating treatment than a traditional toner, so those expecting a lighter formula may want to test it first.

"It goes so far into the gel-like territory that it can sometimes get a little sticky and tacky for certain skin types. I think it's a little bit more plumping, just a little bit more plumpness, but there's still a refreshing feel to it, a lightness to it, a deep down burst of hydration, a drink of cool water on a hot day type of sensation. It really plumps out the skin, makes it really bouncy and very smooth and firm with just hydration alone, which is awesome."

Classic K-Beauty Skincare I STILL Recommend in 2026!
"This is such an amazing juicy hydration balm of a toner. This can double up like an essence product too. There's some great well-aging peptides in here, a lot of great humectants to really plump up and smooth out your skin. It so quickly absorbs into the skin and is so hydrating. It's great as your first layer of skincare too, so it can really kind of cover a few different steps in your routine. If you really want that plump, bouncy kind of skin, this is one of the best products from them."
EPIC SKINCARE EMPTIES | Start Fresh Moving Edition
"This was definitely one of the more hyped K-beauty products at the time, and I didn't understand why people were so obsessed with it. It's fine, not bad, just not mind-blowing, and not all toners can be mind-blowing. But I did start using it again in the late spring, and then in the summer you saw me using it in a lot of my routines. I changed my mind about it because there's just something about it that my skin's really enjoying right now. I'd still say it's a boring type of product, not mind-blowing, but I think that's just due to how my skin takes in hydration. It definitely hydrated my skin and made it feel plump and supple, which is actually in the name, and I think that's a pretty good description of it. It gives you just a little bit of bounce. It's not a gel toner, it's still very runny, but there's a little body to it that gives you a bit more extra oomph. This isn't as popular as it used to be, but I still think it's a very solid, good toner. I'm going to rate it a 9 out of 10."
Plump and Hydrating Toners for Summer 2025
"Klairs Supple Preparation Unscented Toner is another old school goodie. I used it back in 2018, and I liked it, I don't know that I loved it, but I liked it, and I hadn't used it for many years. Recently I started using it again just testing it out for fun and I actually kind of really liked it, and I've just kept using it more and more. This has actually been my toner over the last couple of weeks, I use it morning and night, I do two layers of it, and I really love it because it does exactly what I want a summer toner to do: lots and lots of hydration and that plumping factor that feels so good, that little bit of plumpness really locks in all that hydration, and it's still in a light layer, it's still in that toner format so it doesn't overwhelm your skin."

"We also have copper tripeptides in here, which I didn't know about, which I feel like everyone is kind of taking interest in now as a skin healing anti-aging ingredient. Licorice root extract, which can help even skin tone, add some brightness to it, revive the look of it, and sodium hyaluronate as well to help hydrate. It really is a really nice, simple hydrating toner that if your skin's ever feeling tight and dehydrated, it's just good to splash on your skin. I really, really enjoy this one."

"They've got a lot of good toners. Their Supple Preparation Unscented Toner is wonderful. I absolutely love it. It's one of my top four favorite products from Klairs. These are best suited and great for sensitive skin types, reactive skin types. You can't go wrong."

"This is the one, this is the one I love. This is a great product. It's like a very rich cream in my opinion. It's kind of one of the OG sort of moisturizing night sleep masks, although it wasn't ever marketed that way, but it's nice and soothing. Shea butter, jojoba seed oil, ceramides, a bunch of peptides. This is great, highly recommend this product."
