What the gurus are saying

Gurus praise this cleanser as an effective sulfur product, particularly for rosacea and clogged pores. It lathers well and cleanses without leaving skin tight or stripped. The recurring caution is that sulfur cannot eliminate pores despite some marketing claims, though dermatologists confirm it remains an excellent choice for rosacea-prone skin.

"You have the Kate Somerville Sulfur Cleanser, which is kind of classic. This ingredient can be wonderful for especially rosacea, the acne form of rosacea in particular. Sulfur, if you're developing rosacea, is a really, really excellent ingredient. In some cases it's over-promising, under-delivering, people are swearing that it can eliminate pores, but there's no evidence that sulfur eliminates pores by any means. Great for rosacea, incredible ingredient for rosacea."

"It doesn't over strip your skin, it is free of oil and it lathers so it's good for clogged pores. For a sulfur cleanser, there is Kate Somerville."
