What the gurus are saying

Gurus praise this cream for delivering intense hydration and noticeably strengthening the skin barrier, with benefits like reduced irritation, calmer rosacea, and fewer breakouts. The consensus is that it works best for mature, dry, or compromised skin; younger people with healthy skin may not see the added benefit. It feels lightweight on application despite a thick texture, and performs well even on oily zones.

"Kate Somerville Peptide K8 Power Cream is a high performance moisture which delivers intense hydration whether used alone or as part of a skincare routine. It includes an expertly formulated blend of ceramides and oligopeptides which helps improve the skin's texture while reducing the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles. This has been amazing mainly as a daytime moisturizer saving my skin from that real dryness now we're going into much colder weather. I believe it's because of peptides in general, my skin is loving peptides for so many different reasons, but teamed up with ceramides, my skin barrier feels stronger in the sense that I'm breaking out less, my skin is less prone to irritation, my rosacea has calmed down, my flushing doesn't tend to happen as much. It's not recommended for oily skin but its key target is for people with dry, combination, and normal skin. I'm having no issues with this whatsoever with my oily T-zone. It feels watery when you put it on the skin, it looks very thick when you pump it out but it feels watery when it goes on."

"The Peptide K8 Power Cream is amazing. I love it. It's a moisturizer but it's more than a moisturizer. You do not need this if you're in your 20s and you lead a healthy lifestyle and you go to the gym and you don't smoke and you don't drink. However, if you're not in perfect health, you might need some kind of extra benefit to your skin. If you are older, you will definitely see the benefit of using this. I love it. If you ever see it on offer, just buy it."
