What the gurus are saying

Gurus praise its oil-absorbing power and efficient performance, noting you need minimal product and results look genuinely clean. The main complaint is that spray application can leave white fallout visible on dark clothing or surfaces. One reviewer found the pump mechanism awkward to use at certain angles, though another experienced no residue on hair itself. Overall enthusiasm is high despite the application trade-off.

"The hair really does look washed. There is some grit to this product, and if you touch it, you're going to be able to tell that this is not freshly washed hair, but it looks like it. Definitely of all the dry shampoos I have ever tried, this one makes oiliness disappear the most effectively. And you don't need a ton of product. You just do like one little spritz into each section of your hair, wait like 30 seconds, massage it in. It's pretty magical. If I had to rate this on a scale of 1 to 10, I would give it like a 9.5. The only thing I dock points for is that when you spray it, it can leave a little bit of white residue. So, if you're wearing dark clothing or you have dark countertops, you will see a little bit of that fallout. But in terms of what it actually does for your hair, 10 out of 10."

"For so long, my go-to dry shampoo was from Crown Affair, and I actually still love their dry shampoo so much, but the K18 dry shampoo, I thought it was all hype. This is fantastic. So I've been reaching for it more. You don't need a lot of this. Spritz, spritz, spritz. I will rub it through my hair and basically get my hair looking clean and not oily."

"I was sent a K18 dry shampoo and it actually worked really well for styling purposes. It's almost like a texturizer and for imparting a bit of lift at the roots. It was not something that caked up on my hair at all. But my goodness is that product ever hard to spray. The nozzle is really hard to work."

"The other thing I personally don't enjoy about dry shampoo is that a lot of them end up leaving behind this white funky residue that's kind of annoying. This one I tried from K18, it did not leave any kind of white residue on the hair, but it was actually kind of hard to use because pressing down on the pump at certain angles around your hair is more awkward than I expected. I found it a little awkward to use."
