What the gurus are saying

This rich moisturizer feels surprisingly light on skin despite its nourishing texture, sinking in quickly without heaviness. It gently brightens while staying fragrance-free and non-irritating, and it works beautifully under makeup. Though admittedly pricey, the formula won over those who tested it.

"I still absolutely adore this moisturizer. It's a wonderful, gently brightening, rich moisturizer that still sinks into your skin quite quickly. It's rich and nourishing enough for my dry skin, but it doesn't feel heavy. It's fragrance free, non irritating, works really well under makeup, and I love the gorgeous glass packaging. The only reason it's moved down for me in terms of favorites is that it's expensive. The truth is when I ask myself questions like, would I pay full price for this again? The answer is no. Could Eadem tempt me with a good sale? Yeah, probably. But full price, no."

"Another product that I love that has tetrapeptide 30 is EADEM Cloud Cushion Airy Brightening Moisturizer."

What the evidence says.

Independent of what the gurus think, this is what the published research supports about the main active ingredients here.

Niacinamide

Niacinamide has evidence behind it for redness, uneven tone and supporting the skin barrier, and it is usually well tolerated even by skin that reacts to most things.

Ceramides

Ceramides are part of the skin's own barrier, and moisturisers built around them have evidence for holding water in and settling the tightness and flaking that come with a damaged barrier.

Humectants and emollients

Ingredients like these draw water into the surface layers and slow how fast it leaves. The evidence is for comfort, softness and hydration rather than for changing the structure of the skin.
