What the gurus are saying

This leave-on mask earns consistent praise for delivering visible plumpness and a soft, glowing complexion by morning, particularly for anyone using actives like retinol or tretinoin where the barrier needs extra support. The texture is thick and cushiony but spreads smoothly across skin, and it can work as a standalone nighttime moisturizer or layered with another one if skin is seriously compromised. One thing to keep in mind: it does leave a slight shine, so those thinking of wearing it under morning sunscreen may want to test it first.

"The Barrier Repair Mask. This is a fairly recent launch. Really deep, hydrating, nourishing treatment, especially in the winter months. That's coming just around the corner for me. And I know I'm going to be using this that'll be on my nightstand."
Best Skincare For Mature, Over 50 Skin! (New DRMTLGY Launches & Favorites)
"Another product that I love for my evening routine is the Barrier Repair Mask. This is similar but more hydrating and occlusive than the peptide night cream, so if you are super, super dry, this is a great product to use as your nighttime moisturizer. I love this product, I'm about two-thirds finished with it. I haven't been using it over the summer, I've just been relying on the peptide night because I haven't needed this heavy of a moisturizer, but I know coming up in the fall this is going to be by my bedside and I'm going to reach for it. It's probably going to replace my peptide night for my evening skincare."

"I absolutely love the Barrier Repair Mask. It's just a gorgeous thick creamy mask that hydrates the skin overnight and makes your skin look absolutely glowing and soft by morning. I definitely recommend the barrier mask, especially for the skin of the face."
Best Anti-Aging Skincare for Over 50 | Ranking DRMTLGY's Top 10 Best Sellers
"Their Barrier repair mask is a new fabulous launch. You can use this to get the most out of it by pairing it with the tingle pads in the evening once or twice a week. Use the tingle pads to do a gentle exfoliation, top it with the Barrier repair mask, and you have a beautiful exfoliating treatment. You will wake up with baby soft skin. If you're trying to decide between the Barrier repair mask and the peptide night cream, they're kind of six to one half dozen the other. The peptide night cream is a little bit lighter and has more peptides in it and fewer oils. They both have tons of ceramics, but this one has more oils than ceramides. If you have dry skin, you probably will prefer the Barrier repair mask."
All The Beauty & Skincare Products I Got In February (Beauty Over 50)
"DRMTLGY recently sent me a couple of their new launches, their Barrier Repair Mask as well as their body retinol cream. I've tried the Barrier Repair Mask, absolutely love it. It's a little bit more emollient than the peptide night cream, which I also love, so if you're looking for something a little bit slightly more occlusive, this has more oils, a few more ceramides, but not as many peptides. They're both wonderful, but love this new launch from DRMTLGY, highly recommend this. I've already used quite a bit of it and I'm looking forward to finishing this up, great for my dry winter skin."

"You could put a moisturizer on beforehand and then this on top if you wanted to, but this is moisturizing and repairing enough to replace your moisturizer in your nighttime routine. It was very rare that I paired this up with another moisturizer. It's really nice, and when you wake up in the morning, your skin just has this glow and it just looks so healthy. So yes, I would consider purchasing this again."

DRMTLGY BLACK FRIDAY SALE 2024 | MUST HAVE ANTI-AGING PRODUCTS THAT ACTUALLY DELIVER RESULTS!
"This is great if you use a lot of active ingredients like retinol, chemical exfoliants, and your skin barrier is always compromised, it's dry and it's tight. This is a must and this honestly repairs your skin so nicely. This is a leave-on mask you don't want to wash this off. This can actually replace your nighttime moisturizer or you can actually use this with another type of moisturizer if your skin is seriously in some discomfort. Using two can work really well. On its own though, it is very satisfying to use. It is pretty thick but it does spread across the skin really nicely. It's not that heavy on the skin but you do have this glow. It is a little shiny on the skin so this may or may not sit nicely underneath sunscreen if you do decide to use this in your morning routine. It does have ceramides in it, there are some peptides, shea butter, vitamin E, there's aloe, there's chamomile extract, there is oat extract. There's a lot of great ingredients in here to nourish, to soothe the skin, and to repair the skin barrier. This performs really well."
THE TRUTH ABOUT THE NEW DRMTLGY BARRIER REPAIR MASK & RETINOL BODY LOTION | REVIEW/FINAL THOUGHTS!
"The Skin Barrier Repair Mask gives that comfort and relief when your skin needs it and also this is a great product to use every day or a few times per week just as prevention just to help nourish your skin barrier. I've been using this quite a bit and my skin just absolutely loves it. It is on point and I do love this one a lot."
THE BEST SKINCARE TIPS 2024 | DO'S & DON'TS FOR BETTER SKIN! SINCERELY MISS ASH
"This is the DRMTLGY Barrier Repair Mask, this is exceptional. It has that nice thickness to it and it locks in all of your serums, your essence, and your face mist, and your skin just remains plump and glowy. Love this, especially if you have irritation. This is great for repairing the skin barrier, so if you're over-exfoliating you might want something like this to repair that skin barrier and just add more moisture to your skin."
RESULTS GUARANTEED! 10 PRO TRETINOIN/RETINAL PAIRINGS TO LIMIT SKIN IRRITATION AND SIGNS OF AGING
"This is moisturizing enough. It has shea butter, it has oats, there's ceramides in here, very repairing and satisfying, so you could use this every night if you wanted to. There's no actives in here so this can be your moisturizer if you really want it to be, and when you use this with your retinol or with your tretinoin it truly makes the biggest difference. You wake up in the morning your skin is super soft, and again it can help to prevent drying but it really helps to keep that skin barrier nice and strong, so I do recommend this."

HOW TO REPAIR YOUR SKIN BARRIER - BEST SKIN BARRIER REPAIR PRODUCTS FOR HEALTHY, GLOWING SKIN!
"Next is the DRMTLGY Barrier Repair Mask. This product is a lovely leave-on overnight mask. Don't wash this off, use this in replacement of your moisturizer, or if your skin needs that additional moisture then put a moisturizer on top of this, and sometimes I will do that if my skin needs some TLC, but this on its own is sufficient enough. So this could replace your nighttime moisturizer if you really wanted to. Now this has a lot of great skin repairing ingredients but also humectants. We have hyaluronic acid, vitamin E, aloe, there's jojoba seed oil, there's shea butter, there's ceramides, there's also peptides in here, chamomile and allantoin. So those are just some of the key ingredients that really help to nourish the skin. But this is a very thick cream that actually doesn't feel super heavy on the skin, so if you wanted to use this in your morning routine you most likely could, depending on of course what types of sunscreens you're using, like textures, and of course what type of makeup you're using, because this may or may not work with your morning beauty."
