"The second one I've already tried from the brand is the Dr. Sam's Flawless Brightly Serum, which is a nice serum, but which I did not like that much. It is called a retinoid serum, which is technically true, but not true in the sense that I would call it a retinoid serum, because it uses granactive retinoid and bakuchiol, both of which claim to have retinoid-like effects but are not in the precise sense from the retinoid family, like retinoic acid, retinal, retinol. They are more like cousins, which is perfectly fine, and she pairs that with azelaic acid, which makes this probably a good option for those with rosacea or strong inflammation in their skin that want something a little more gentle. But I wouldn't call it a retinoid serum. So this is probably good for the right people, not for me, because I use prescription for my adult acne."
