"This is 0.2% retinol plus 1% peptide serum. I like that they've gone in with the correct percentage of retinol, it's safe for a beginner to use. They also add in Rosa damascena flower water as a second ingredient at a significant concentration, which contains phenyl ethyl alcohol and other volatile fragrance compounds, so there's a sensitization risk and retinol disrupts the barrier. On the positive side, this naturally forms a phospholipid bilayer that encapsulates the retinol and protects it. They also used copper gluconate, which supports collagen cross-linking, a fantastic ingredient if anti-aging is one of your concerns. What I love about the formula is the encapsulated retinol at the correct percentage, what I don't love is that it's not in an airless pump and it's got a quite sensitizing, irritating second ingredient. They really should have gone in with more of an anti-inflammatory base, and if they'd done that it would have scored a solid eight out of 10. But unfortunately, the way it's standing right now, I'd maybe give it a 5.5 out of 10, maybe six if I'm feeling generous."

"Deconstruct, it is the 0.2% retinol plus peptides. It is retinol plus peptides, but understand they are not as good to replenish or replace your multipeptide serum. So usually recommend anti-aging routines with peptides, but they are very few and they're in very less concentration. So consider this a gentle beginner friendly retinol serum and consider it also for anti-aging benefits with the peptides."
