What the gurus are saying

The gurus who reviewed this found it a standout hydrating serum that layers beautifully and delivers visible improvements in texture, radiance, and fine lines at an affordable price point. Most praise its lightweight, essence-like texture and versatility across body and face, though one expert notes it works best as a booster alongside a fuller routine rather than as a standalone active treatment. Those using copper peptides or strong actives may want to layer a neutral product between this and other treatments, since peptides can be sensitive to certain ingredients.

COSRX Skincare 🆕 The 6 Peptide Skin Booster Serum First Impressions Review & Demo
"It's got some vitamin E in there and soybean oil, so if you have acne prone skin, the main ingredients to be aware of is the vitamin E and the soybean oil. Most people tolerate vitamin E very well even though it's kind of comedogenic, it just sometimes depends on the formula too. Overall it stuff feels nice. I'm really impressed. I'm going to continue to use this because I really like it. The copper peptide in there is very sensitive to other ingredients. I have found copper peptides are very fussy. You're not supposed to use them with almost anything else basically. I mean not supposed to use their retinol, acids, vitamin C, or strong antioxidants. So basically almost anything you use. But I found if I use a copper peptide and then layer a neutral product in between that's not a pH dependent product, that's not an active in between the copper peptide, it seems to work for me and other brands have recommended it, because otherwise you have to choose one or the other. Copper peptides can be very fragile. It's still kind of a relatively newer ingredient in skin care, but I found that works for me and I'd rather do both as long as your skin isn't irritated than have to pick one or the other and only get the benefits from one or the other."

"Next up from COSRX is their 6 Peptide Skin Booster, which is their newer release. It's a wonderful liquid booster it retails for 21. I kind of use it in place of an essence and it's really absolutely wonderful. I can't wait to do a full review of this one after I've gotten a little bit more chance to test it out. So far so good, so so good."

"It's really nice but it's very watery so one and a half pumps is usually enough to cover everything really easily and quickly and absorbs almost instantly."

"I am loving this, you guys. This is the COSRX 6 Peptide Skin Booster Serum. It literally is like water. So when you put this on, you can spread this on your entire body for a fraction of what you would pay for like some of the other types of creams. This is not expensive. I believe this is under $20. It has six different peptides in it, hyaluronic acid, amino acids. Even skin tones, hydrating, firmness, and smooth pore and sebum care, improve skin texture. I've noticed all of that. A peptide pairs very well with a retinoid, so this is great to put on first and then add a retinoid."

"I am obsessed with this product. I gave it an eight out of 10 earlier. Um, I think I'm going to go up in that. I love this because it comes in a pump. This is a six peptide skin booster. It's by COSRX. You can get it at Costco. It's from South Korea. It's great. Use it on your whole body. Can you put this on your face? Absolutely. That's what it's designed for. But why are we not putting it on our bodies? It's basic. I don't want to say it's free, but it's really cheap, you guys. It's not expensive. This is a great product to put everywhere."

"With this one you've got six amazing different peptides in here to plump the skin, to hydrate it. It's going to minimize fine lines and wrinkles. It's got that Botox in a bottle effect. It's also got niacinamide, which is a very hot ingredient at the moment, a gentle exfoliator that will also fade hyperpigmentation. I think this is a standout, standout peptide serum. It's also really affordable, which I personally love and respect."

"This peptide product is so beautiful, so lightweight, not sticky, not tacky, just glides onto the skin. While it hasn't got that hit of copper peptide in here, it has got a plethora of other peptides for just so many different benefits. I love that one. When COSRX does it right, they do it really right, and that for me is an absolute hero product."

"The six peptide skin booster serum is my favorite in this category. I think the concept is derived from the popular injectable skin boosters that are super popular in Korea but in a topical form, and I think that means making the skin more hydrated and more radiant at the end of the day, and I think the formula really does that. It's a wonderful formula because it has peptides and I love peptides. It's a multitasking serum that has six different peptides as the name implies that really helps to promote and improve skin elasticity, texture, radiance, and tone and overall skin vitality. Really designed for those who are seeking a lightweight, almost like an essence, a non-sticky essence or serum that really helps to address all of those concerns in one. The six peptide complex targets fine lines, improves radiance, improves tone, helps to improve skin hydration along with niacinamide, which is a jack of all trades that does a little bit of everything for better skin, and then glycerin that helps to hydrate. All of these ingredients really help target fine lines, skin hydration, support skin barrier, brighten the skin and make your skin look so much better."

"The COSRX 6 Peptide Skin Booster is a peptide serum that's very hydrating. It has acetyl glucosamine, which is great for moisture balance, amino acids, and a variety of peptides which may help to a certain extent in helping your skin with its collagen production needs, but at any rate seems to be helpful for improving moisture content. I really like actually using this serum as the first step in a skincare routine after cleansing. It does have niacinamide, which is great for redness, hyperpigmentation, and the moisture barrier, but some of you are sensitive, so if you're sensitive, skip the peptide serum."

"The six peptide skin booster from COSRX has tons of complimentary benefits: boosting, plumping, fine line, firmness, oil control, pores, reduce skin sensitivity, retexturize blemishes and brightening, and all of that is true. I think this is the best multi-purpose product because COSRX is very cost-effective. The aesthetics of this product feel so good. Peptides as a group are easily the number one supporting ingredient, providing the best broad benefits. When it comes to Korean skincare brands and COSRX in general, you really just cannot beat the texture, the way that it will layer under any other product or layer under your makeup or layer underneath your sunscreen. They always bring hydration, they always bring calming and soothing, and peptides truly play well with pretty much any other ingredient. This does really so much, especially with the copper peptides and especially with the organ that's in this formula."

"Cerx is calling itself a serum booster, the key word there is booster. This is something that helps lift up the rest of your routine, but on its own, if it was your only active product, you know, active meaning the peptides in this, I think you might be disappointed with it. I personally was when I tested this out. I didn't feel that I got a ton of benefits from it on its own. I think that it works well as a booster, but it's important to know this isn't a highly concentrated serum. This is an essence. Cerx is using some more interesting peptides and the mix delivers a more unique set of benefits. There are some collagen stimulating peptides in here, but it's not a heavy focus of the six peptide mix that they're using. They're also looking to address signs of sensitivity and irritation on the skin, redness and inflammation, which can be particularly helpful if you do have a sensitive skin type or if you're struggling with your moisture barrier. It can also be helpful if you do struggle with inflammatory acne. There's also a brightening peptide in here that can help with the overall complexion and clarity of the skin and the evenness of it."

Cosrx The 6 Peptide Skin Booster Serum, Reviewed!
"It's not the best overall superstar anti-aging product that you can add into your routine, but it is a great co-star, an additional product, a booster that you can add alongside a nice fully developed skincare routine to boost your results, especially if you haven't quite hit all of your skincare goals yet. If you're just starting your skincare routine and your skin's not optimized, you haven't quite figured it all out yet, this would be a great way to get to that first level. Once you understand how to use this in your routine, it could actually be very helpful as a co-star to the rest of your skincare products. I'm rating this a seven out of 10."
