Revive Firming Moisturizer.

"I bought this moisturizer five weeks ago and just finished the very last drop, so at twice daily use it lasts about four to five weeks, and honestly I don't think that's bad because I only paid twelve pounds for it. What really drew me to it was the ingredients list, especially the fermented retinol, which is far less sensitizing than standard retinol while still being effective, along with amino acids and ceramides. Literally within the first application my skin felt softer and hydrated, and I'd say this is one of the nicest moisturizers I've used in a long time, so as a moisturizer it's a ten out of ten. Beauty of Joseon claims it firms skin by 20% in two weeks, but having used it for five weeks I wouldn't say I've gotten a 20% increase in firmness, and I think that's really only realistic for someone completely new to retinoids, not for someone like me who has already used retinoids for years. That said, my skin is a lot better hydrated than it's ever been, it's definitely smoother, and I am starting to notice a little bit of firming, nothing groundbreaking, but a nice addition to a routine that doesn't cost the earth. I do think they should have added a caveat to that 20% claim, but for the price, the ingredients, and the chance to try fermented retinol, this is a brilliant addition to the skincare market. I'm giving it a solid eight out of ten, genuinely impressed, and I came into this as a skeptic."

"The Beauty of Joseon Revive Firming Moisturizer has pretty good reviews online. The packaging is a squeeze tube, which I like and is easy to travel with. It doesn't contain any denatured or drying alcohols, it's fragrance-free with no noticeable scent, it's made in Korea, and it's cruelty-free. The texture is a lotiony texture, lightweight and lightly hydrating, soaks in pretty quickly, but it's difficult to apply in a thick layer and it just doesn't feel as hydrating as I would have expected given ingredients like the palm oils and macadamia oil. I personally recommend using this at night only because of the retinol, though I was surprised Beauty of Joseon doesn't note that in their directions. I was left a little confused by the product because most Beauty of Joseon products have a direct goal and I didn't really see the direct goal or purpose with this one. It's not the most hydrating moisturizer, the retinol is probably very weak, and I didn't find it [...] firming or plumping my skin at all, or delivering on the claims about strengthening the skin barrier or preventing dehydration. [...] I just wasn't impressed with it. I didn't hate it, but I certainly won't repurchase it. It's twenty one dollars for [...] the full size two ounce. With a ten being a perfect score, I'd give this one a seven, which is still okay, and a lot of other people seem to love it."
