But looking at the ingredient list, the second ingredient is sunflower seed oil, a great nourishing oil for the face that I love. It also has squalane, one of my favorite moisturizing oils out there. It has avocado oil, it has shea butter, evening primrose oil, panthenol, even a little bit of lactic acid, and it's free of undisclosed fragrance, and I don't see any irritating essential oils. "I absolutely love these products. I love them so much, they are so nice. My skin looked so good after using them for about a month around Christmas. The Rich Cream not only made my face look so well taken care of and nourished and plump, but also helped my skin through a very dry winter. My skin looked so good. But I can't be reviewing skincare like that. That's ridiculous. The brand says their products are expensive because of the high potency levels of ingredients and extensive research and development and testing. I kind of believe this. But their cheapest product is a 32 pound lip balm, and the most expensive is a serum at 290 pounds. I can't. I don't think I ever will buy them. I understand there's a market for luxury, and if the science is everything it's cracked up to be, then sometimes the cost might be what you have to pay for new research. But for me personally, 290 pounds on a serum, I can't justify that."

It was created by a doctor, Augustine Bader, who did research and created this patent for medical use, and they basically translated it to an inclusive that can help ingredients penetrate your skin."

"It's the Augustinus Bader Rich Cream. Right now at Nordstrom you can get a one-ounce pump and a half-ounce pump for the low, low price of two hundred dollars, yikes, versus two hundred and seventy-two dollars. I've never used this before. Objectively speaking, there's nothing wrong with the ingredients. I do imagine that people who use this and love it appreciate an improvement in moisture content, skin luminosity, and radiance. Do I think you need this cream versus any other moisturizer to get those types of results? No. This is not something I would ever buy myself. It also has a peptide in it, palmitoyl tripeptide-8. Peptides probably just mostly act as humectants. We rely on manufacturer studies, which are obviously going to be biased; it's not like they're testing these peptides in rigorous double-blind placebo-controlled trials. This particular peptide, at least in cells-in-a-dish type models, shows a reduction in inflammatory markers after UV radiation. In skin explants, so a model, not on an actual human, this peptide has been shown to be associated with a decrease in dilated capillaries. And when used on actual humans who have the skin condition rosacea, this particular peptide is associated with a decrease in persistent facial redness. However, that particular study on rosacea patients was using a product that not only had this peptide but also had caffeine, and caffeine can likewise help in minimizing redness, so whether it was the peptide or something else in this cream like the caffeine is hard to determine."

"I'm gonna say I actually did enjoy using it. It's a nice feeling moisturizer. I looked up the ingredients, it's got a nice ingredient list. There are a couple of peptides but they're way at the bottom end of the list. It has basically a lot of oils in it. It's got shea butter, it's got avocado oil, it's got primrose oil, so it is gonna be hydrating. My skin wasn't any different using this, but it also wasn't any worse. I'm not really tempted to buy the full size of it. I much prefer my Olay Regenerist night creams or even CeraVe better than this, it's so much more in it that's good for your skin."

For literally one point seven fluid ounces, two hundred sixty-five dollars? Let me pull up the ingredients because maybe I'm missing something. The base of this is a whole bunch of oils, and we do have some peptides and some zinc PCA which is really good for acne and inflammation. But I don't understand why it needs to cost close to three hundred. The whole reason that they claim this is worth three hundred is because of their patented technology comprised of amino acids and high-grade vitamins, but I don't understand why that is so expensive. I do understand patents need to protect intellectual property, but I mean it is vegan and cruelty-free. If I'm ever going to spend three hundred on something it might be this, but mark my words, I am not recommending this. There are very comparable options out there."
