What the gurus are saying

This whipped cream hydrates deeply with five peptides, marula oil, and other beneficial actives at just $17-21, rivaling products that cost considerably more. Reviewers value the thick, fragrance-free texture and notable anti-aging firmness support for nighttime use. It absorbs slowly though, and multiple layers may leave a white tint, but most found it to be excellent overall value.

"I love this stuff. It's a nice thicker version of the Drunk Elephant protein. It's got the same beneficial ingredients and good peptides in here, it's just a little bit more moisturizing. It's great to use at night because it is on the thick side. Good ingredients in here, peptides, marula oil, all that good stuff in here, no fragrance, and it's still pretty affordable. I think it's about 21 bucks, so for the price of one protein you can get almost over three jars of this stuff or three tubes."

"The Acure Radically Rejuvenating Whipped Night Cream is very hydrating, it's got a lot of the same ingredients, and the texture is a little different but the ingredients are more like the proteiny. It's a very close match in terms of ingredients and I've been very impressed with this product. It's lovely, it's super hydrating, it's full of good stuff, and I really am impressed with the Acure brand what they've been able to do and a lot of amazing products and still super affordable."

"My favorite is the Acure Radically Rejuvenating Whipped Night Cream. It's got five poly peptides plus tons of other peptides and good ingredients in here, so this stuff is amazing. It's great at night, it's thick, it's lovely, it's fragrance free, and still affordable, so this would be my pick if I had to pick one."

Best Revitalizing Moisturizers That Leave Skin Super Plump and Hydrated Overnight
"So it's got marula oil, peptides, ferulic acid, a scoro glucoside, sodium hyaluronate. It's pretty affordable. It's kind of a Drunk Elephant proteiny dupe. But it's got a really nice texture. I will say it takes a while to soak in though. This latest bottle of mine, it seems like it takes a long time to absorb. I'm not sure why, but I mean it's okay because I'm using it at night, but yeah, still kind of annoying. Or sometimes it leaves like a really strong white cast, probably just too many layers, which I'm good with. I like layers, more layers the better."
A Decade Worth of Holy Grail Moisturizers & Face Creams - My Favorites Over the Past 10 Years
"It's a nice product with a texture like the La La Cream, the ingredients like the Drunk Elephant protein. This stuff is pretty expensive and I found after a while it's a little too hydrating, but it's still nice and works well for a lot of people. It's just I don't need it anymore. Overall it's still a good moisturizer, it still works well for a lot of people."
Yay
"The Acure Radically Rejuvenating Whipped Night Cream is pretty spot-on as far as formula goes. It has so many of the same ingredients: Marilla oil, vitamin C. And it's $17, you can literally find it at the drugstore, I believe it's at Target. Good price, good similar formula. This is a peptide cream, right? Firms the skin, helps to fight against premature aging, deeply moisturizes."

What the evidence says.

Independent of what the gurus think, this is what the published research supports about the main active ingredients here.

Salicylic acid

Salicylic acid dissolves in oil, so it can get into a pore rather than just working on the surface. That is why it has long-standing evidence for blackheads and milder acne.

Source: DermNet

Alpha hydroxy acids

Alpha hydroxy acids loosen the bonds holding dead cells at the surface. The evidence supports smoother texture and more even tone over time, and they can leave skin more sensitive to sun.

Source: NIH, National Library of Medicine

Humectants and emollients

Ingredients like these draw water into the surface layers and slow how fast it leaves. The evidence is for comfort, softness and hydration rather than for changing the structure of the skin.
