Yay or Nay?
2 July 2026
Yay
This serum uses L-ascorbic acid, pure vitamin C, the most potent, most studied form, not a derivative. Ascorbic acid is third on the ingredient list and it's super high in concentration.
5 June 2026
Nay
I get why she chose L-ascorbic acid at 15%, it's very similar to the $180 SkinCeuticals in terms of formula, with vitamin C and ferulic acid, and it even smells like the SkinCeuticals, like meaty water. But I just don't like it, it's runny, it will oxidize in time, and it's got a real heavy sticky feeling that doesn't fully absorb.

Why we only pair takes from the same month

A formula gets reworked, a price moves, and a product people loved in one year is not the product they are handed in the next. Two takes far apart in time can look like a disagreement when they are really a description of a product that changed. So a face-off only pairs experts whose videos went up within a month of each other, and neither take here is sponsored.
