"This is their mandelic acid five percent skin prep water, and this is a very gentle five percent mandelic acid that's so easy to use that you can put it on and then go out during the day if you put sunscreen over the top. And this is just refreshing in a way that's not overwhelming or irritating to skin. You can put it on like a little cotton pad and then swipe it on your face. I like to put it on my hands and just press it on so I get the most of it. This is a really gentle leave-on way to use mandelic acid night or day, as long as you have that sunscreen. I would recommend this for anyone who doesn't want to complicate their skincare routine. In addition to the mandelic acid, this has licorice, and licorice can really help with pigment and uneven skin. If you get little red marks after blemishes, if you're prone to hyperpigmenting, or if you get sun spots, absolutely fantastic."

HOW TO USE MANDELIC ACID | The Ordinary, WISHTREND, & MORE | Dr Dray
"I like this product for people who have sensitive skin and want to incorporate mandelic acid into their routine because it has other ingredients that help with the health of the moisture barrier. This product is wonderful if you're looking to improve the look of dark spots and hyperpigmentation. It has botanical extracts that can help improve that by themselves, plus in combination with mandelic acid it's going to help improve the look of sunspots and hyperpigmentation just by increasing skin cell turnover and exfoliating the dead stuff away. It's got licorice fruit extract which is anti-inflammatory and helps with hyperpigmentation as well as redness. It also has centella asiatica extract which is wonderful for healing and moisture barrier recovery. It's got beta glucan as well as sodium hyaluronate to help pull water into the skin, plumping up skin cells, and panthenol which is helpful for calming down inflammation and improving skin elasticity. You can use this product twice daily as tolerated after cleansing."
