What the gurus are saying

The formula blends itself out seamlessly and sets to a satin finish that doesn't look heavy, making it unusually easy to apply without over-blending. What stands out is the shade range, particularly newer options like Olay, which work for fairer skin tones without turning orange, a rarity many people struggle to find in contour products. The main caveat is the price, which reviewers acknowledge as steep, though they emphasize the quality of the formula justifies it for those who find a shade that matches their undertone.

"If I'm super short on time, I love using my Westman Atelier contour stick in the shade Olay because this one is a shade that just you can't mess up. It's a creamy moussey formula, very cool, and it blends itself out."
Top Pick: bronzer

Oh my… these favorites are REALLY good 😍
"The Westman Atelier color is to die for. It is so good. I love this for like nose contour around the lips. I also etch out the cheeks with this. It's quite lighter and still my Westman Atelier still wins for like most natural, but it does blend out really nicely."
Did the NEW NARS Foundation Just Take First Place?! (Wear Test)
"This is the Westman Atelier Face Trace Contour Stick. I actually recently got this and I keep forgetting to tell you guys. It's their new shade in Biscuit. It's their lightest shade now. I love this formula, so it was like a no-brainer for me to pick up the lighter shade now because I just feel like it's going to suit me so much better. Even though the other shade I feel like suits me totally fine and I get so much use out of it."
My Favorite Makeup Look of the Year... So Far
"I'm going to go into my Westman Atelier contour stick. This is that new shade that I can't seem to shut up about. It's called Biscuit, and it is perfect shade for me. I can literally just draw on my skin and it always looks nice."
NEW Rare Beauty Eye Collection... Better This Time?!
"I have never really been able to color on my face with a contour stick because it's always way too much for me until now. I feel like I can literally just draw on my face and it looks good, which is crazy for me. It just normally requires so much more control when it comes to a contour stick. So, I appreciate that about this shade mostly. I already knew the formula was great, but the shade is so much better for my skin tone than Biscuit. Biscuit still works and it's a little more cool toned actually. So if you want more like structure, it's still great. But if you want to like draw on the face and you have a skin tone similar to mine and it's hard for you to find contour sticks that don't look too dark, you should definitely try this. It's a pricey product. I hate how expensive it is, but like it is such a foolproof formula."
My Unexpected FAVORITES from Last Month!!
"This is the Westman Atelier Face Trace Contour Stick. You guys know it's one of my favorites. I have raved about this for years on my channel. And they've launched a new shade. This is the new color called Olay. With the shade that used to be the lightest, I think it's called Biscuit. I could never just draw on the face. It was too much, too deep. So I'd always have to put it on the hand. And I still prefer to do that technically with this. Today though, I tried drawing it directly on the skin. And because the shade is not too deep, it works. So for me, if I'm in a pinch, it's even better knowing that I can literally draw it on the face and it's not going to look overdone because of the shade. So really love this. You can see how it still gives nice shape and warmth to the skin, but it's not like an obvious bronzer or contour on my skin tone, which is really nice."
I NEEDED This Makeup Day 🤩
"The Westman Atelier contour stick in Biscuit is just the perfect kind of contour color. I literally have not put this down. I love this because I can literally just draw on my face and the color is not too dark, so I can't really mess it up, which is so nice. If you're heavy-handed like me when it comes to bronzers or contours, I think you would really appreciate this formula, but especially this color. If you're a similar skin tone to me, it's hard to find colors that don't pull orange or that aren't too deep, even just a little bit for fair skin. So I'm really loving this."
The PERFECT Spring Makeup 🌸
"My favorite thing right now has to be this Westman Atelier Face Trace Contour Stick. I mean, I've always loved this formula, but the shade I can literally just draw on my skin. This is their newest shade called Biscuit, and it's perfect for me, especially for springtime, because I'm still very fair, and honestly, in the summertime, I don't really get too tan anyway. So I feel like I'll still be able to use this year round. It's a really beautiful color that adds just the right amount of warmth. It's not too gray toned either. It's perfectly neutral, which I love because it still gives me shape. But it doesn't turn me orange and it doesn't turn me gray."
What I'd Genuinely Buy YOU at Sephora Right Now
"I've loved this formula for years, but they recently released a brand new shade called Biscuit and I haven't shut up about it. If you have fair skin and you struggle to find a contour product that doesn't turn you orange, look no further. It's fabulous. It's pricey, but definitely worth picking it up during the sale."
I Tried YOUR Holiday Wishlist! 🎁
"I'm going to be using the Westman Atelier Contour Stick because Magda submitted this and said it is on my wish list for quite some time now. I was holding off buying it because of the price, but I think I can justify buying it as a present for Christmas from me to me. The color Biscuit seems just perfect for my skin tone. This is like a stupidly high-priced contour stick, but it really is so beautiful. I can't even deny it. You guys know it's one of my personal favorites. This shade Biscuit is so perfect for me. It does come in additional shades, but this one is like not too cool, not too warm. It's just incredible."
If I Took You to Sephora, Here's What I'd Buy You! 😍
"It's the full size and there's quite a bit of product in here. There's just something about the formula that I love. If you've never tried this I would throw this in the basket. It's pricey, it's like stupidly pricey actually, but the formula I cannot deny it is so good. It's so beautiful. This blends itself out, the color is phenomenal as well. The shade I use is biscuit. It has a little bit more warmth. If I just went off of formula not price I would say go with the Westman Atelier. This one's amazing."
This Makeup INSTANTLY Boosted My Confidence ❤️
"The Westman Atelier Contour Stick in Biscuit, this contour stick it really does the most when it comes to a confidence boosting routine. I wanted to use products that are fuss free, and this is that for me. This literally blends itself out. The formula is so beautiful and the color just always looks good on me, so you really can't lose with this one. I'm just going to go all over the face along the forehead, underneath the cheekbones to kind of sculpt things out a little bit. I feel like this is where it's really fun to spend a little bit of time just sculpting the face because to me that boosts my personal confidence to have a little bit more definition and structure on the face. A little goes a long way, but I want to make sure it's still enough to where it's like aha she looks healthy. That's what I'm going for. I'm going for just health all over the face."
Full Face of NOTHING New (inspired by Nikki)
"This is the Westman Atelier Contour Stick in the shade Biscuit. This is one of my favorite products for contour in general."
EVERYONE gets 20% OFF at Sephora right now?!
"The Westman Atelier Face Trace Contour Stick, I used the shade Biscuit. It just does the work for you and the color is perfection for me. It comes in several shades but Biscuit works beautifully for that sculpted, slightly warmed-up complexion. I hate how much this is priced, I don't think it should be that high, but if I ran out I would buy it over and over again because it's just that good."
Doing My Friend's Makeup and I'm Terrified 😨
"I'm taking the Westman Atelier Face Trace Contour Stick, this is spectacular. This stuff is stupidly expensive for a contour stick, but literally it blends itself out. This is the shade Biscuit, which if you have fair skin it's phenomenal, because I feel like that's one of the hardest things about contour when you have fair skin is like it not shading blue gray or too orange."
The Makeup I'm Thankful For This Year
"I'm thankful for the Westman Atelier Face Trace Contour Stick. This is pricey, I actually hate how pricey it is, but it really works. You guys know how much I love this. I've been using it non-stop basically since I tried it. It literally just blends itself out, and this color on me, color Biscuit, is like perfect."
My Stress-Free Sephora Savings Guide! 🤗🛍️
"This is a product that I feel like is very bougie and pricey but you get what you pay for. It's a very high-end formula obviously the packaging is very nice as well but the formula itself really is so user-friendly and the color Biscuit is the one that I use. It's so perfect. I love this. I feel like I will forever have this product in my collection because it's just that good."
What I'd Buy for YOU at Sephora RIGHT NOW 😍
"The Westman Atelier Contour Stick in the shade Biscuit is worth trying. Westman Atelier is very pricey, but this is honestly worth every penny. I'm wearing it all over the face to sculpt and I can't get enough. Their formula is so beautiful, it basically blends itself out, and it has the perfect tone and undertone. Biscuit is the shade that works best for me."
I LOVE My Current 5-Minute Mommy Makeup!!
"If I'm super short on time, I love using my Westman Atelier contour stick in the shade Olay because this one is a shade that just you can't mess up. It's a creamy moussey formula, very cool, and it blends itself out."
Yay
"I especially love this contour stick. It's not super dewy when you put it on, which I like because it is easy to blend and then it just sets perfectly. What I found is if you blend it too much with a brush it seems like it almost disappears, but if you just kind of tap it and especially tap the edges of it then it just looks really perfect and seamless on your skin and it gives you this kind of satin finish. So it's a really nice product to use for contouring and it's the right kind of brown tone. Also it's got that cool tone to it instead of that orangey brown bronzer tone. There's a really big difference in my opinion between wearing like a contour stick that has that cool tone versus that bronzer color that feels a little bit warm."

What the evidence says.

Independent of what the gurus think, this is what the published research supports about the main active ingredients here.

Vitamin C

Topical vitamin C is an antioxidant with reasonable evidence for dullness and uneven tone. It breaks down in light and air, so how a product is formulated and packaged matters as much as the percentage on the front.

Sunscreen filters

Sun protection is the best evidenced way to slow visible ageing, and the filters are what does the work. Mineral and chemical filters both protect when a product is applied thickly enough and often enough, which is where most people fall short rather than on the choice of filter.

Vitamin E

Vitamin E is an antioxidant, and it is often in a formula to keep the other ingredients stable rather than as the active itself. It pairs well with vitamin C, though on its own the evidence for visible change is limited.
