What the gurus are saying

Gurus consistently praise this as a solid, affordable alternative to pricier BHA exfoliants like The Ordinary and Polish Choice. The appeal is straightforward: proper pH, clean ingredient list, fragrance-free formula, and proven efficacy against acne and comedones at under $12. Community read is limited but uniformly positive.

"The Walgreens 2% BHA liquid exfoliant. This one's also got 2% BHA, salicylic acid to fight blackheads and acne. This one's got a pretty short ingredient list and it's got the proper pH. This is a really nice option."

"Walgreens has a dupe of Polish Choice 2% BHA liquid exfoliant and we have a dupe of the ordinary's azelaic acid suspension. I love both of these brand name versions. Walgreens is charging $11.99. These are great options for acne-prone skin. Salicylic acid's great for closed comedones, open comedones, acne, whiteheads and blackheads. It's also good for hyperpigmentation and rough skin texture. Fragrance-free."
