"This is versatile and these products are not cheap. I can literally use this and use whatever else is in my routine on top, zero conflict product, which is why I still think this is number one. I truly believe 100 is good, you don't need to go to 300, 400, 700. The collagen one is great because of moisturization, and I do like the proa one again for skin nourishing, skin calming benefits. The retinol is good if you're in the mood of a retinol serum. Nothing is better than the OG plain one. This is a full review of micro needling in a bottle."

"My skin was already smooth, but I feel it is looking smoother. I feel my skin is looking brighter. The product promises that pore size shrinks in two weeks, but I haven't seen that yet. But honestly, my pores aren't that large, so I don't think I'll see that difference. But all in all, I absolutely love this product. I will completely finish this and then buy the 300 and even the 700. It's quite expensive, so I'll space out my purchases. I really want to see the full results of this product because it doesn't conflict with anything. It's amazing. You can use it with anything, there's no problem. But if you have active acne on your face, meaning pus-filled active acne, then I won't recommend this product to you. Because acne is already painful, and if you put this on and rub it, even gently, it will hurt a lot. I promise you it's painful. So if you get a lot of active acne, I'm not going to recommend this product for you."

"I used it with retinol the next morning and my face wasn't dull, it was reflecting shine. Day three I used it with a minimalist serum that has AHA and BHA, again fabulous results. Day four I used it with tretinoin. Day five I used it with salicylic acid, and every time I wake up from the second day onward I have been just loving the results. There are some studies out there into the use of spicules that are pretty much in their infancy, but the ones that I was able to read did show some promising results versus a placebo group."

"The 100 wins every time. You can use it daily so you can be consistent with it if you want to be, you don't get too much sensitivity and you still get great results. If your skin can tolerate the 100, you'll be able to use the rest of them no problem at all. I think they're all beginner friendly unless you've got crazy sensitive skin, you'll be able to use these and it shouldn't be a problem."

"It's not too sensitizing, not too irritating. The hundreds are absolutely perfect, and that to me is perfection. Pressing rather than rubbing it in, I think is going to give you the very best results. Honestly, I really, really am still impressed with this product. The results from first use, you notice that your skin is more hydrated, it's plumper, it's just glowier, and I don't think there's any other product that I've used in skincare that's given that immediate glow up. The 100 strength gives a really nice glow without too much prickling and sensitivity, which for me was Holy Grail territory. If you're consistent with it, after about a month of use it will actually help to shrink the overall size and appearance of the pores. This isn't something I've really been able to achieve with a lot of other over-the-counter skincare products, so it really does pack a punch when it comes to resurfacing the skin, smoothing everything out, and minimizing."

"This product uses their bespoke spicule technology and these spicules are little needles which actually help push the product actives deeper into the skin for what it's termed quicker and more effective results. The 100, which is actually one of their lowest strengths, just works the best. If you go higher than that you get a real tickling, prickling, just an unpleasant sensation in my opinion, so I've tended to stick with the 100s where there's enough spicules within it to really get those enhanced benefits, but there's not so many of them that it almost becomes unpleasant to apply. The application is key: don't rub it in like you would a traditional serum because those spicules are actually going to really irritate the skin. I find just dotting it all over the skin and then pressing it in gives the great level of results that we expect, but it's not too sensitizing, not too irritating. Keep it low in terms of the strength, the hundreds are absolutely perfect. Pressing rather than rubbing it in is going to give you the very best results. After 12 months on, am I still impressed with this product? Honestly, I really really am."

"I love the VT Reedle Shot line. The original contains spicules which kind of push the ingredients deeper into the skin for some extra benefit. I love that and they work really well for my skin. However, with so many different versions, I would go for one of the added extra ones. I would say don't follow the herd and just buy the basic 100. I would say get the one with some added skincare ingredients by choosing one of the other versions. Absolutely nothing wrong with the plain with the original, but I think there are so much more value in the other versions."

"Once I saw this had spicules in it, it was an immediate no for me. I was not interested in using it. My major reservation is foreign body granulomas, which are really challenging to get rid of. I'm really nervous about spicules. Call me paranoid, but I would just like to see more long-term safety data with these. It does have a lot of really good ingredients, which is why I was so excited when I first opened it up. It has niacinamide, which is great for redness and hyperpigmentation."

"I have serious reservations without long-term safety data. There's limited to no research on these and long-term safety data, but that could change in the future. I would really hope that maybe we have better safety studies one day and maybe we will see more spicules being incorporated into topicals for delivery of medicinals. I'm not against them, but I do have serious reservations."

"When you have these spikes and you rub them into your skin they either exfoliate your skin and they get rid of some of the dead skin layers or they might stick into your skin and create micro channels. These both mean that ingredients can potentially get deeper more easily. It looks like they are effective for smoothing out skin texture and making pores look smaller, those are the main things that people have been raving about. But it's a bit harder to say how well they work for delivering the ingredients deeper since they are physical spikes, that's going to depend on how you use it, so how hard you rub and for how long, also the specifics of the formula, so like the shapes of the spicules, how many there are and what the other active ingredients are. There aren't a lot of human studies and they are all very small sample sizes, but overall I think it's really promising. The other big question is safety. Dr Dray in early 2024 said that she was worried about foreign body granulomas. Basically the concern is spicules are made of silica which is the same as glass or sand. In theory, if a spicule gets too deep you could end up with a chunk in your skin that your body can't break down. Your immune system might then react and you essentially end up with a really angry bump that can be difficult to treat, and this sort of thing can take years to show up."

"Really good results from this product, people with acne, clogged and congested skin, dark spots, textured skin all improving in the space of weeks. For me personally, I've definitely seen a difference with skin texture. I mentioned a while back when I first started talking about these when it comes to the texture of my forehead, congestion on my nose, but yes, it's still early days because I'm on the 100 but I've graduated now on the 300. I've been using this one for a while too, but the difference that I've seen already, it's so good, it's so so good for me. I'm not massively targeting things like acne breakouts or hyperpigmentation, so the results on me aren't as amazing as you see on other before and afters, but the subtle things like improving texture will go a long way to make my skin overall look so much better."

"I wouldn't discredit the research that has gone into this and the years that this kind of product has been around prior to VT coming out with this product. I use this as much as I would exfoliate, so maybe three times a week. I've been really really really enjoying this. I love it. I would personally recommend it if you're struggling with dark spots, if you're struggling with enlarged pores, fine lines, whatever, and you want to boost your actives that you feel like aren't really doing anything anymore. Give this a go."
