    What the gurus are saying

This fine mist delivers such a lightweight hydrating finish that it lands imperceptibly, with no droplets, just a beautiful glow. The vegan PDRN formula combines five different ceramide types and squalane to keep skin plump and comfortable. It works well as a post-shower refresh when skin is hot and exposed to dry air, or anytime during the day when skin feels tight.

"This is actually a mist. It's such a lightweight and milky formula. And the mister itself, the application [...] is so fine that you can't even feel it land on your skin. So when I use this the most is right after a shower when my skin is hot from the steam and I'm walking into a very dry environment. This is perfect for that. This is great for keeping by the bedside. When you wake up in the morning, if your skin feels tight and dry, mist. But also whenever at any point when my skin just feels dry during the day, I mist. You won't have droplets on your skin. You'll just have really a beautiful glow. [...] The formula is very consistent to the others in the line. This has the vegan derived PDRN which is from Jins Sang. It's got five different types of ceramides. Squalane. It's just really beautiful and you really get the sense that it keeps your skin hydrated."

"It leaves your skin looking instantly hydrated and plumped and glowy and you can feel that as well or you can see in the video clip that I'm going to show you that I'm actually running my finger along my skin to show you that it's not just products sat on top of the skin"

    What the evidence says.

Independent of what the gurus think, this is what the published research supports about the main active ingredients here.

    Niacinamide

Niacinamide has evidence behind it for redness, uneven tone and supporting the skin barrier, and it is usually well tolerated even by skin that reacts to most things.

    Source: DermNet

    Ceramides

Ceramides are part of the skin's own barrier, and moisturisers built around them have evidence for holding water in and settling the tightness and flaking that come with a damaged barrier.

    Source: DermNet

    Humectants and emollients

Ingredients like these draw water into the surface layers and slow how fast it leaves. The evidence is for comfort, softness and hydration rather than for changing the structure of the skin.
