"This is very milky, not too greasy, and after I absorb it, it makes my skin the most glowy. I'd recommend it more for dry, mature skin, especially in winter. Even for my skin it can be too heavy, so I don't think I'll reach for it that often in summer. It's plant based, so if you don't want to try the salmon extract you can try this instead. It claims to have 100,000 PPM of PDRN, but it's listed last on the ingredient list, which means it's going to be a really small amount. I called them and asked and they couldn't tell me the exact number, so I don't think it's going to be that much PDRN. As a wintertime night serum it's okay for me, no problem, but some of the reviews say the packaging is leaking, so keep that in mind too."

"I did a review on PDRN, and I talked about the VT PDRN serum and how as a moisturizer, I thought it was great, but I was skeptical about the PDRN. The marketing draw on that was that it was a vegan PDRN, coming from Panax Ginseng. There is actually pre-clinical study showing that PDRN isolated from Panax Ginseng can do some of the same things in vitro that the salmon stuff does. But the other day, I was thinking about that video and the product because I'm making my way through it, and like I said, it's a decent moisturizer. I thought to myself about the Panax Ginseng extract, and it dawned on me that Panax Ginseng extract has come up multiple times in multiple products I have reviewed over the years."

"I don't believe the PDRN in this is doing jack squat. I don't think it's anti-aging to me, I don't think it is necessarily delivering anything above and beyond, maybe it's helping a little bit with moisture retention, but it's a really nice moisturizer. This is a really nice moisturizer in my opinion after personal use. I've rather enjoyed it and would consider repurchasing it even though it was a whopping $32 for 1 oz of this stuff. I think the reason I like it so much is that it has a polyglucuronic acid, which is a polysaccharide that's super hydrating and can have film-forming properties to reduce transepidermal water loss, so it really gives the skin this nice hydrated snappy recoil of what appears to be improved elasticity. It's got niacinamide, an evidence-based ingredient for dark spots, redness, the moisture barrier, anti-aging, and it has ceramides."

"I used the VT PDRN Essence 100 Elasticity and Wrinkle Care. Still say PDRN is a complete bozo marketing claim. But this particular PDRN essence, the formula has a nice slippery texture. I'm very texturally oriented. At the end of the day, a lot of these things end up doing more or less the same thing, moisturizing the skin. This is a moisturizer with a nice emollient finish. So I liked it in that regard. But the thing about this is not only was this one the PDRN marketing bozo, but they took the clown show full and claimed that this was a plant derived PDRN from panax ginseng extract. We're going to pull something off the shelf that everybody in their mother in the Korean skincare industry and outside of that has been putting in their products diligently for years and now we're just going to pretend that it is a source of reliable deliverable small DNA."

"This one uses 100,000 part per million of low molecular ginseng derived PDRN, vegan. It's also enriched with five types of ceramides, polyglutamic acid, panthenol, squalane, and allantoin. It's a little bit more on the expensive side, but it's got a really nice serum kind of gel texture to it, which is nice. A little bit of it goes a long way. They call it an essence, but it's more of a serum moisturizer I would call it. Very nice product and worth checking out."

"When you see PDRN it typically refers to the name for the salmon but they use something different. So just a nice lightweight kind of gel textured serum. I appreciate ginseng root, I really like ginseng in my skin care, it's a great antioxidant. It feels pretty nice on my forehead. I've used it a couple times now and so far so good. "There's one I talked about the VT PDRN Essence 100 Elasticity and Wrinkle Care, that one used a plant type of protein instead of the salmon thing. I don't necessarily know how much I necessarily think some of these plants are going to end up stacking up next to some of the human or the other ones or the salmon ones that are more biologically close to our skin than a plant. But if it doesn't smell like salmon then I'm okay with it. I don't want to smell like salmon."

"You can see just how much smoother the one hand looks that I applied it to. It really does a nice job hydrating, smoothing skin, and soothing. It helps with wound healing. Not exactly from the PDRN that they're naming the product off of, but more from the ceramides and the ginseng that they used. It's got four ingredients of note. "VT Cosmetics was able to naturally extract PDRN from wild ginseng actually grown on Jirisan Mountain, a beautiful mountain in Korea, and used it in their PDRN Essence, a product I've been using and particularly loved. The ginseng is already an incredible ingredient that is really underutilized here in the US, and because it's naturally extracted it means it's certified vegan. "It's very moisturizing but it also makes the skin as you consistently use it it brings out a firmness to the skin that is a really really nice firmness and a smoothness as well. I think with a very long consistent use of this product you will see some good improvements in skin elasticity as well. I'm noticing that my skin looks so so much healthier, so much glowier, maybe even a little bit more glass skin if you will, a little bit more luminous. It's bringing out this healthiness to my skin and that is something that I've noticed from ginseng products in general over the many years that I've been into K Beauty, and that's why I love the ingredient. "This actually uses a vegan PDRN that is sourced from ginseng, and here in the essence they're actually using 10% of ginseng PDRN. Even if you aren't totally into the PDRN part of it, this is actually just a good quality ginseng essence in my personal opinion, or a serum quite honestly, that's how I use it like a serum because it is quite concentrated. It brings out that vital glow to my skin but it also plumps and firms the skin, it actually firms the skin. It's great for well-aging, it helps with skin elasticity and PDRN helps with skin rejuvenation and skin healing as well, and helps with some collagen stimulation. This is something that would be great right alongside a tretinoin or retinoid routine. It can be used in the same routine. I like to use this on the nights that I'm not using my retinol just to keep things simple, not because you can't combine them but just to keep things simple for myself, just to kind of keep up those well-aging benefits. It's a great sidekick to some of your more potent actives. I think it has a place in a well-aging routine and this is quite moisturizing. I was actually really surprised by how moisturizing and rich this product is, but I do think it's worth it if you're looking maybe for firmer skin or if you're into ginseng."

"I've been really excited about the VT PDRN Essence 100 Elasticity and Wrinkle Care. I've been talking about this a lot in a lot of my skincare routines because this is truly like a daily driver for me when it comes to getting PDRN into my routines on a daily basis. This contains 10% of wild ginseng PDRN so it's a really good concentrated amount and there's no riles in this bottle. I'm going in with the essence on a daily basis because it is still moisturizing. I do like to have a little base layer of hydration on my skin before I apply it so you can go in with any type of mist or toner that you like."

"It's derived from wild ginseng, so because it's derived from ginseng we do also have some additional benefits for antioxidant protection. It's also an anti-inflammatory ingredient that is a really good ingredient for supporting skin elasticity. It gets deeper into the skin and that's what we want for the benefits. It actually just creates this really beautiful moisturizing nourishing creamy serum that sinks into the skin and damp skin really beautifully. Your skin is going to glow, it's going to feel really firm and plump."
