"What I really like about this one is just how refreshing it feels. I do have combination skin that leans oily in the summertime, and I do like to use this one in the summer. I started using this last summer and I was like, I love capsule creams. It feels so refreshing, so good in the heat and the humidity. My skin can breathe. I love the plumpness factor of these types of moisturizers, but I love that I can still get a kiss of moisture because my skin, even being combo, even being on the oily side, still responds to a good amount of moisture. The capsules are really just plops of lotion. They're very easy to scoop out with your little spatula and mix into your moisturizer. There is some skin entertainment value involved here and a little bit of beauty to these that I really appreciate, but I do think that they're incredibly functional as well and really great options for the summertime. VT being a little bit lighter, it's definitely a choice for oily skin, definitely a choice for balanced skin, and if your combo skin gets real oily, you might like the lighter feel of this one."

"I did not think I was going to like this. I thought I was going to like the novelty of this, but I didn't think I'd actually like this moisturizer. And I do, especially for the hot weather. I'm trying to find that balance between the oils and creams to nourish my skin, but also kind of keeping things light. And so this is kind of adding in that balance for me with my combo skin. You just need one capsule and a little bit of the gel, and then you can mix it together on the back of your hand. The cream is amazing. "The texture itself is so hydrating. This gel, it's not sticky. It's actually incredibly refreshing, cooling, plumping, deeply hydrating. And then that cream capsule, as you break that into that gel texture, you get this really silky, very lightweight, a kiss of richness, but not a heavy denseness. It's not like a medium or thick, really hard to spread type of cream. These truly are like little plops of lotion inside of the gel cream. They just completely dissolve as soon as you start to spread it onto your skin. It mixes in really beautifully. That kiss of cream in the gel really balances out any dryness or dehydration that you might have within your skin, soothe any rough spots without heaviness, without greasiness, without so much richness that feels like it sits on top of your skin. "It's not greasy. It feels pretty natural over skin, which is nice. It feels silky when you apply it. The major ingredients include slip ingredients up front plus niacinamide plus squalane, which are overall generally good ingredients. For acne prone skin, we've got fatty alcohols which can be not the best for acne prone skin, and squalane is very very low but it is slightly comedogenic. The main stars of the show are niacinamide, turmeric, ginseng, copper peptide. There's a lot of different peptides in here which are nice to see. Matrixyl 3000 is there. They are at the very end of the ingredient list quite literally with the exception of one ingredient. A lot of peptides work very well in very small amounts."

"This is one of my favorite favorite products. When I do use it, my skin definitely definitely loves it. I first used it maybe two weeks ago, fell in love, and it's one of my favorite products now that I use every morning because it just calms, it soothes, and it really gives like a burst of hydration and peptide action to the skin. PDRN is one of the biggest trends in skincare right now. PDRN is a great ingredient to boost collagen, elastin production, and firm the skin. You've got to be really careful with the products that you buy to make sure you're getting that PDRN in a meaningful concentration. It's very trendy so brands will put it on the label but not actually put a meaningful amount in the product. This has a sky high amount of PDRN. It also has seven different peptides in it, it's got ceramides. This is going to firm, lift, tighten, and just help really nourish the skin. It's a great great product and one that whilst it's new to my skincare routine, I definitely think is going to be a feature throughout 2025."
