What the gurus are saying

This serum rivals traditional snail mucin in hydration and skin repair, thanks to wild yam extract, while eliminating animal involvement entirely. Gurus found results equivalent to leading snail essences and praise it as an effective alternative to both hyaluronic acid and traditional snail products. The texture is a touch less goopy than some alternatives, and the bottles contain less product than similar serums.

"I used the V'Green snail mucin alternative serum on half of my face compared to the Jumiso snail essence on the other half, and I could not tell a difference in my skin. I will say the V'Green feels a little less goopy and you get a little less product, but in terms of results I noticed no differences."

"I really like this one not only as an alternative to hyaluronic acid but as I mentioned an alternative to snail mucin as well"

"This uses wild yam which exhibits a lot of the same properties as snail secretion but without the snail involved"

"This is vegan snail mucin—the snail goo that people have been putting on their face because some people say that it's hydrating and it's wound healing and it's good for acne. This is a vegan version. All of the hydration, all of the same main ingredients that support the skin with zero cruelty. There are some K Beauty brands out there that say snail mucin isn't mean to the snails, but I've kind of looked into it and seen some people electrocuting the snails to get their secretions and then other people putting them in washing machines. Until then, I am using yam-based snails. The green is such a great brand with a lot of great fragrance free options. This is one of the most hydrating and skin reparative serums that literally has all of the benefits of snail mucin without the cruelty factor."
