"There are topical things you can use to cause vasoconstriction of the eyes for bloodshot eyes. I know that not a lot of ophthalmologists like these because they can cause rebound vasodilation and can actually make the bloodshot worse. But Visine is something that does help with that immediate bloodshot eyes. So in a pinch, although not optimal, maybe it's acceptable. I use these occasionally before we shoot, infrequent use, it does help, it does work."
